Border Guardian Hal Akircius

Chapter 5: The Daily Story of Urban Extension Cilentium

The city of Cilentium, where imperial soldiers arrived and became temporarily nervous, however, a full day passed and began to regain calm.

Because it has become increasingly clear that imperial soldiers and imperials do not have the same violent nature that they have come to the border before.

Adamantius, who was anticipating the condition of the town, identified the condition and took the soldiers under his command to a quick survey.

Hellionel and Raisink have already returned to their neighborhoods to arrange for people to migrate.

Lucius didn't have a job, but he went out to say that geography was essential for policing, so the last three left were Hal and Ellesia, and Altrius.

Having finished writing to Sittius, Hal invites the two remaining men to the balcony on the upper floor of one of the office rooms, even for tea.

Ellesia said emotionally as Hal sipped his own brewed tea, listening to the water in the water running down the side of the balcony.

"... I never thought I'd see an abandoned city like this that wasn't in anything then.

From the balcony you can see not only the main streets of the city, but also the neighborhoods, but nowhere are the shadows of the abandoned cities that Hal and Ellesia saw when they first came here.

On the boulevard, from the surrounding villages of what was still in the morning, the Oran and Cliffonam tribes gathered with produce and livestock products to open the blue sky market.

They bring in the meat, charcoal, mountain vegetables and medicinal herbs of beasts caught in hunting by those who live in the mountains, or the fur of beasts rare to the people of Halemia in the distance.

Empire merchants were also seen, and this one sold everyday necessities such as deflection in imperial pots, cauldrons, and blades.

In the neighborhood, the sound of hammers and wood grinding sounds far away, and you can see the roofs of brand new houses.

In the distance, between the cut woods, it was possible to distant that the leaves of the plantations and pastures made small green rows.

The city is full of pleasant noise and people's sense of life.

"I've been busy here lately, and I haven't had time to think about that, but... it's been busy, hasn't it?

Hal also made tea and placed it before Altrius in discipline, looking at the state of the boulevard.

Because he was angry with me when I left it unbrewed before, because I was in the mood for this kind of thing.

"... Halyoshi, the results are definitely on the rise, it's a good thing to be proud of.

"Sure, this tea was also brought to me by the people.

Altrius says with a satisfying look at how Hal puts the tea in front of him, while Ellesia also enjoys the smell of the tea.

It is a year-old grass herb called mountain tea grass native to the south of Cliffonam, which has a nourishing and sedative effect, but is often fried and drunk in Cliffonam.

Hal likes to drink tea, although it is not as interesting as Tosho's high incense tea, and it is because of the Blue Sky Market that these became readily available.

Hal took his seat as he brewed his own tea and opened his mouth with a bitter smile.

"I wondered what I would do when I received an additional order to be moved left and go to an abandoned city... something I don't understand.

"Right, then it's all about what two quiet people are waiting for... oh, but that sounds like fun.

Erlacia once affirmed Hull's words, but said them as if they were a little rethinking, and when she put the cup down, she stared at Hull and took over the words.

"Don't you agree with Hal?

"You don't think.

"... I'm messing with you... if you were alone, I wouldn't have made you hate me like that... by now I'm sure..."

Erlacia, who was promptly answered without an island to attach to Hull, looked at Hull resentfully with a bump and a small twinkle, but Hull glanced away with his mouth still on the cup.

Altrius, who was watching it, encourages El Laicia while including laughter.

"Well, Sun Cleric, which one should we think about? I reminded the" young man with a future but a left "of the value of life. Isn't this how a wonderful town is now being built? No shrine, no dreams, no hope, a cabin in a dark forest, better a capable, vibrant administrator's wife shaking her spicy arms as a big town administrator than living her life without any excitement as the wife of a left-handed, rotten man?

Ellesia was tilting her neck at Altrius' words and watching Hull.

I guess I imagined both, after a while the dark atmosphere until then, brightened up a lot and replied with a sneer.

"... so is that.

"Right, not so. Okay, predecessor! Please don't say anything irresponsible!

"Town or Sun Cleric Which is it about?

"Huh?

Hal raises his voice of protest as he watches Ellesia, who has recovered, sneak off her chair and move directly next to Hal, but Artrius cut her back and stuck her.

"It's both, Hal.

As Hal is about to answer, Elleysia, who finished her chair move, leaves her body next to Hal as she answers ahead, glimpsing the view of the town.

"Oh, Hal, it's a lovely view of town... just the two of us..."

"I'm delusional in a weird direction!

"... I'm staying too.

Cilentium city when the halls were enjoying their tea on the balcony.

"Wow, wow! Grandpa."

"Oh wow, people can do this too.

Mark of the village of Almar cheered his grandfather Dennis and the castle gate east of Cilentium.

Dennis also seems to be frequently surprised as he nods to his grandson's voice.

The castle gate is an elephant of a world tree told in the genesis myth of the Cliffonams, which Mark also knows well, but is many times more refined than the decorations we see in the village, and is engraved in solid stone.

The street is cobblestone, and the stone building beside it can't help but look up, so Mark looked up too much and his neck hurt.

"Oh, Grandpa, it looks like they're all selling stuff over there!

Ahead of Mark pointing, various ethnic groups had gathered to open up the blue sky market, and we could see a lot of really cluttered people.

Mark's father and mother couldn't keep their hands off the farm, so today he came to Cilentium to sell handicrafts such as cages, tweezers, and syllables made with his grandfather.

When I was a little girl, I was taught that it was a city that the ghost generals of a dead empire still ruled, so I couldn't get near it, but lately there are a lot of people who go to sell things and buy them.

In the past, people in the village of Almar have been buying and selling goods exclusively in Cilentium because they have been able to buy products of the Empire in close proximity, even though the merchants of the Empire have started to come to Cilentium.

The path had been patrolled by soldiers of the Empire to ensure safety, and the likes of bandits, beasts, and warcraft were no longer visible.

"Grandpa! What is that?"

"... those are the warriors of the West Empire. People with the same role as Armar warriors.

"Hmm... that sounds heavy."

Mark pointed to a team of ten imperial soldiers guarding the boulevard, aligned in two rows.

He has a silver hong, a stunning circular helmet with cheeks, and a square dagger and spear in armor made of several combinations of silver metals, with a double-edged short sword on his hips.

Mark is impressed by the fact that he is in the village, remembering the tribal warriors with feather-decorated helmets, leather armor, elongated shields and long swords and spears.

"Oh, good place is empty, Mark, don't spread the rug here.

Mark, who was intrigued to drop off an Imperial soldier marching away, ran for the corner of the blue sky market where his grandfather was in a hurry, in solidarity with his grandfather.

Along the way, Mark bumps into people because he didn't look closely ahead.

I was thrown flashy to the ground and saw my grandfather rushing over.

"You all right, kid?

Standing up with his arms pulled all the way up, there was a young man with eyes of the same color in short brown hair, wearing a red piercing coat.

"Yes, it's okay..."

The man who has paid off the sand and dust on Mark's body, who stands up while saying so, has kindly picked up the cages and scraps that Mark had.

Mark, who had never left the village before today, soon found out that he was an imperial from his outfit.

It was the first time I had seen an Imperial soldier because I didn't even go on the road to see him, but the Imperial people had come to the village to demand donations, so I had seen them.

The adults abhorred it violently, and certainly the imperials who came to the village seemed mean, but this imperialist in Mark's view doesn't feel very bad about it.

"I'm sorry, my grandson gave me a crude phase..."

"Yeah, be careful.

With the margin of my fearful grandfather, the imperial puts the cage he collects into the big one bearing Mark, and that's all he says and walks away.

"... what a strange thing... the Imperial people here talk to us normally.

My grandfather was crushing like a surprise, but Mark never really felt anything like it, so I spread the rug to where my grandfather told me to start arranging the products.

Around the same time, a pioneering place for Orans on the outskirts of Cilentium.

Theonel, the Oran, squeezed his power and struck an axe into the thick tree trunk all the way to a stop.

satisfied to see him fall sounding ground in the direction he wanted, wiping the sweat off his forehead while emitting the ripping sound of merimerimerimeri and raw trees as if the tree could not stand it, along with a strong response.

"Okay, that's a paragraph.

"You're tired, I finally opened this place up.

Theonel answered with his first resolute breath that his cousins and relatives, who had adjusted the direction of the tree's defeat around him, would hang the words of an approaching.

Theonel is a people of the Theoneus tribe and has a peasant, a wife and three children.

When I decided to migrate, I obeyed, but when I thought about my wife and children, I wanted to find a safe place to live as soon as possible.

Fortunately, a border guardian ruling the Necromancer city was found farmland and residence in a way that surprisingly, far exceeded expectations, because he accepted the Theoneus tribe.

From then on, he even cut the trees, dug up the stump, and spent time plowing the fields.

Now that's finally taking shape.

"Let's dig the stump before lunch.

Theonel said as he took his coat and raised and lowered his sweaty upper body with a rough breath, his cousins also nodded, and soon a rope and a corn and a horse were prepared with a cord and a corn.

The stump, which was disappointingly rooted, unexpectedly tricked Theonel and the others, but the digging was also completed successfully, and Theonel and the others drained the water flowing through the waterway to moisten their throats and wash their dirty hands and bodies with mud.

At all, the land is wonderful, the water is delicious, clean and the place of residence has nothing to do with discomfort.

The land still has to be cultivated from now on, but if you look at the thickness and length of the blemishes that come out when you dig the stump, you can see how this is fattened land.

"Ooh, uh-huh.

"... hey, here we are."

Looks like my son and daughter brought me a lunch my wife made.

Because it is safe, I can make my children feel safe using it.

When Theonel waved, the children rushed with joy and courage.

And, Theonel's hand stops.

"... why the Imperial Soldier..."

Because after the children, I saw five Imperial soldiers staring at where they were going.

"Hey, why are the Imperial soldiers here..."

My cousin asks Theonel anxiously, but Theonel wants to know.

"Yes, Father! It's lunch.

The children rush over and hand Theonel a handheld cage with bread and fruit, but Theonel is more worried ahead and asks the children.

"Hey, what's that Imperial soldier?

"Hmm? You mean those uncles?

"Yeah, didn't they do something crazy?

"Are you all right?

Mixed with Theonel, my cousin also asks, but the kids stare at the two adults in a decent way.

"They won't? He sent me because it was dangerous when I was out of town.

"That's right.

"... what?

When Theonel looked at the Imperial Soldier, who was surprised at his son's and daughter's answers, the five Imperial Soldiers were already on their way to the castle gate with their backs turned to see that the children had arrived safely.

"... something like this..."

"Oh, something could change... I don't know..."

Speaking of Imperial Soldiers, it should have been the plunder, the requisition, the pillaging of people in village raids, the reunification of all evil ways.

Theonel and his cousin dropped off the back of the Imperial soldier with a strange feeling that was neither inspiring nor inspiring nor, dare I say, expectant.

After half the night of the same day, a tavern containing one bottle from the main street.

"I'm just kidding! You savages!

"What? The alien imperial looks great!

A drunken imperial pedestrian and two Oran tribes got into an awkward fight.

The reason is trivial, but if you dare, that another drunk has overreacted to drunken bullshit.

The food is smashed, plates and liquor bottles fall off the table and crack.

At the end of the day, the table itself turned upside down, causing tiredness to the surroundings.

Since the time is still fast and the guests around me are not that drunk, Tsuko is the one who won't go until he joins us, but there are no stopping him.

The fight lasted for a while, but soon began to have multiple heavy footsteps.

"Stop it! It's the administration!... Oh - You can't do this..."

Lucius leads the Imperial soldier of the Night Police with a stick wand and shows up at the liquor store for a drink, but sees the tragedy around him and the two spilled faces and decides it cannot be arbitration.

"Enough, take us both to the administration.

When they forcibly pull off the two still working together and tie them behind their backs, the soldiers take them to the administration as they jerk off the two.

"Store manager, I'm sorry, because I'll make you two pay later.

"... the Imperials were in custody too..."

"Oh, I can't think of anything else..."

"I can't believe... the Imperial..."

After Lucius leaves, a guest watching around starts rumors.

A small number of people who were there have worked in the Empire, but the Orans and Cliffonams are rarely treated unfairly because they look distinctly different.

They are more discriminated against than Setriac nationals with the same pedigree and similar appearance.

Within the Empire, it is the Orans and Cliffonams who are detained or assaulted by Imperial soldiers on these occasions, and most of them cannot even sue the Imperial, even if they have an affair.

"That's a good thing! If you have time to think of something annoying, order me something!

An imperial store manager with a Cliffonam daughter-in-law boiled his business to the Orans and Cliffonam guests who kept whispering and vandalized his voice from the kitchen in an attempt to earn and regain his guests.

"What will you do with your order?

"Oh, one more drink, please.

"Okay, thank you.

The manager's wife came to pick up the order, so the two people who were talking about rumors immediately empty their glasses and order additional liquor.

"... well, that's a good thing.

"Right, this is a good place... to think about moving.
