Border Guardian Hal Akircius

Chapter 6: Urban Enhancement Cilentium Cage Castle Battle (Part 4)

Residence area reserved for Cilentium pioneers, late at night

There is no light, but a night when the full moon illuminates the earth and you can see enough things if your eyes are used to the darkness.

There was a bunch of muddy, dirty men at the digging shed who were whispering.

"Although the walls are much higher, there are not many points where you can snipe.

"Even if you get mixed up with volunteers and prostitutes, it's hard because you make a whole family registry.

"How about registering as a citizen of Cilentium and then joining a prostitute?

"No, I can't get a family registration without the recommendation of the friendly tribe of Cilentium. We can't pretend to be imperials, and..."

"I can't even poison it, it spreads right away... the water is too good..."

The Fried spies had wandered into recruiting pioneers and infiltrated all over the Cilentium, but they decided to gather once the attack had begun.

"I've got an imperial stone bow ready, now I can snipe. The plan is to snipe, okay?

When one said, everyone else nodded only glaring at me in the dark.

"That's it!! It's the Cilentium administration!!

The door of the digging cabin was kicked in by imperial soldiers, and Lucius illuminated the room with a pointing light.

One of the spies who saw Lucius' face just before that screams.

Damn, it's Sheriff Aetius!

They were spies suddenly blinded by the light, but they immediately escape without attempting to resist, knowing that their opponents were crooked magistrates who kept the security of Cilentium.

But the spies, already surrounded by imperial soldiers and blocked the escape route, were all captured after a grudging resistance.

Several resisted violently, so the Imperial soldier slammed them with a spear, but the tail would be superior.

After tying up the spies and taking them to the administration, when Lucius digged up and altered the inside of the cabin, there were twenty stone bows, poisoned bottles, several poisoned knives, and weapons such as swords and throwing spears available.

And in the back, there are eight scripture birds in cages.

There are also a few letters of instruction and thoughtful leaves.

"Pfft, okay, that's the end of the mission.

Lucius had him put in a crate with all the goods that had been scattered inside the digging shed, and he took care of the bird cage and the letter of the leaves of the tree and pulled them up to the administration.

At the same time, Cilentium North Castle Gate

There is a shadow near the castle gate.

The shadow eventually took out a large hammer.

"At such a late hour, what are you doing?

"... Damn, how did you find me?

The man who was about to shake up the hammer groaned at Altrius's voice.

"You don't have to answer..."

"Ugh... yuck!

"If you throw that hammer away and repent, you won't even think about measures, will you?

As Altrius rinsed nearer as he nibbled, the men crept back.

"... wow"

"You idiot!

To the man who was torn and tried to shake the gavel down to the bracket. Altrius touches lightly with his right hand when he stuffs the time in an instant, and with his left hand he touches the man who was about to slap the gavel.

I touched the man who tried to slap the axe in the face with both hands.

After shaking loosely, the men faint one after the other and fall to the ground.

"... it's still unsavory... and Alford's place is understaffed..."

With a face with a mouthful of something that seemed sincerely unpleasant, Lutrius blurred, calling in the warriors who had been waiting to cover the end, and left the scene behind.

At the same time, the Cilentium Northeast Wall

"All right, plant the string here... yes, now if you pull this string even if you pile any more stones, it will collapse from this height... the string will be successfully hidden with mud. Hurry up."

On one instruction, several men mounted themselves on the walls, scraping cement stuffed between the stones, trying to plant thick strings.

"I have a problem with that, can you remove it?

"... we won't be talking about trouble.

A man shouts at a woman's words.

The commander calmly gave instructions to the men and women who suddenly appeared, seeing that the tension between the men reached its peak, but only the two.

"... what, just the two of us... hey, do it.

It's a hassle, but after we finish these guys off, we can plant the trick somewhere else again.

Men who take orders from their conductors, pull short knives out of their pockets silently, and set them up.

"O God of the Moon... lose the power of the harmful.

When the woman puts the wand forward and speaks that way in a quiet voice, the fluffy air fills the perimeter and everyone removes the short knife except the conductor at the next moment.

And the men collapse to the ground with even more clatter and tremor.

"Come on!"

I saw a man whose conductor fell, rushed to pull out his sword and was slashed by a woman, but he was fisted to the elbow of his hand, which he tried to shake down by a man who came forward, and the sword was flown into space.

At the next moment, a man's knee pierces his belly and the conductor loses his mind when all the air is thrown out.

"... dangerous.

Taking the flying conductor's sword in the air, sideways the collapsing conductor, the man said so and sighed of relief.

And the woman leans softly against its back and says:

"... Hal, thank you for your help..."

"Now... I would have made a gap with the wax.

Hal said so in disdain at the words of Erlacia, and urged Erlacia, and tied up the spies who had passed out and waited for the soldiers of the carriage to come.

The next day, the Cilentium Administration Office

"... so with the help of the former Commander of the Army of Altrius, the spies of the Freed have been exhausted.

"Um, it's about my city, naturally!

Altrius stretches his chest to the report of Lucius, who was exchanged in a seat where those who stood for Cilentium gathered.

There is not a single spy who could escape yesterday's simultaneous pick-up, and the connection between Cilentium and Fried people will be almost impossible because of severe restrictions on access from now on in preparation for Cage Castle.

The spies were bringing in more than one messenger bird for that reason, but we were able to secure it here as well.

Afterwards, it would be nice if the Fried army could continue to disguise that the Fried side measures are going well until the war begins.

Since many of the Frieds had not been in Cilentium in any way before King Alford's move, Lucius had asked Hellionel and Raysink to put the conspicuous on surveillance somewhat.

Nor can the Fried be said to be suitable for such intermittent work in the original warrior tribe, even though citizens have reported that there are Fried people moving suspiciously everywhere, and Lucius had a fairly accurate idea of the Azid.

However, since this operation by its very nature is unacceptable for failure, it led to the great success of last night's simultaneous picket, after adding Altrius' ability to defy the enemy, just in case.

"Looking into the spy, it looks like the plan was on the verge of sniping. I was able to find out a few sniper locations, and an imperial state-of-the-art stone bow was ready in Azit. Because of this, he was supposed to be questioned even if a flowing arrow hit the king.

"... that means you're not under King Alford's command.

Arkiando snapped uncomfortably at Lucius' report.

I guess he deliberately prepared an imperial stone bow to promote his claim that the Empire had used his vile hands by shooting the King Awabari.

Lucius carries on the words while affirming the words of Archiando.

"Oh, he seems to be under the command of a guy who says prince Danford or something.

"... that stupid prince.

Alchiando's uncomfortable face turns even more hateful, the prince of the Fried, who was most keen to collect contributions to the Almar tribe.

"Is it no longer on Alford's initiative... what is Miyazawa doing?

"I think Lord Miyazawa Bergan would rather avoid a fight. Originally, the empire itself was not a rush to introduce institutions or technology.

When Altrius asks when a spy hears that he is under the prince's command, Arkiando answers so.

In addition, Arkiando added an explanation for the princes' lack of hope and the individualistic characteristics of the Fried tribe.

The proposed and activated Cilentium attack may have been carried out by King Alford, but the subsequent partition is clearly at the hands of the princes.

The caname of the battle still remains unchanged in King Alford, but the enemies of Cilentium were becoming fixed on the princes.

"But... I used to hear it that easy..."

To the admiring Hal, Lucius laughs at it.

"I gave him a drink. We all talked about getting drunk, didn't we?

"Whoa... is that liquor in jail?

"Well, don't be hard on me, Hal. The other guy is a spy, he doesn't open his mouth to interrogation, or torture. Then he's not good at heart and efficiency, so I gave him a drink. Sorry about your turn, but I didn't get you out of jail and you're fine.

Lucius added his words as he niggered to Hal, who was flabbergasted by a method that poked at the weakness of one of the Cliffonam's greatest vices, a big liquor lover.

Certainly efficient regardless of whether it is good or bad.

"There's still a bunch of guys in jail with camels wrapped around them.

To Lucius' words, Hal, who has had a rough time dealing with drunkenness in the Imperial Capital, felt a little annoyed when he thought of the hardships that the soldiers at the number were subjected to, but it's big that he figured out who he was dealing with and how to get out anyway.

It's a tranquil method, and if the spies are getting drunk, they won't try to get away with it.

However, there was one material of concern in Lucius' report.

"But an imperial stone bow..."

"... is it a way to get it?

Altrius asked gradually as Hal put his hands together and looked like he was going to have difficulty.

"It's natural if you think about it to increase your success rate with an imperial stone bow with good performance, but when you get this..."

'Sure, so, Lucius, how's it going around there?

Especially with regard to Hal's concerns, Altrius asks Lucius if he has any information, but Lucius shrugs his shoulders and answers.

"You didn't have very good information about that. I bought it from an Imperial merchant, but no Imperial merchant trades weapons here.

Imperial merchants who visit Cilentium are mostly pedestrians who handle household groceries, and large merchants such as those who handle weapons and protective equipment have not crossed the border into the north.

I would prepare it if I asked individually, but still 20 newest stone bows.

It is not a substitute for ordinary pedestrians to prepare immediately.

"Are you saying you got some kind of support?

'It would be reasonable to think so... as long as you don't even forget that there are enemies after all. It's not a question of how we can do this right now, and we've already suppressed the spies who use it, so I'm worried about hitting it.

Altrius said so as to dispel the doubts that contained Hal's concerns.

Thirty spies were secured.

It is a large number for a sloppy operation and makes me disappoint that the prince was serious about working out a plan, albeit bent.

Although the letter of the secured leaf stated that it was a royal fate, it is already poor that you must deliberately write the destination in the instructions you give to the spy.

Probably calling it a royal life, with the princes giving instructions.

"So, I'm a messenger bird, but for now, as Hal instructed, I put in snipers and 20 snipers to fly away.

When Lucius last reported that, together, he realized that the finishing touches on the measures had been completed.
