Border Guardian Hal Akircius

Chapter 6: Urban Enhancement Cilentium Cage Castle Battle (Part 6)

It is the East Castle Gate that Fried's Warriors head towards with the Marutai.

Silentium penetrated through the moat, but only the eastern castle gate was still not equipped with bridges, and the earth ground continued to the castle gate.

The water introduced from the reservoir pond in the north flows from the northwest into the moat of Cilentium, surrounding its north and southwest, but separated in the eastern castle gate by a dirt embankment, or passage.

The Fried Army, which has no scythe or siege weapons, has no attack other than to go for the castle gate, but its momentum is just as brave as a Fried Warrior.

He shouted and raved no less than a beast, and slammed Marutai, who supported him from both, into the castle gate at once.

Fried's bowmen quickly set up a wooden shield near the walls to cover the warriors storming the castle gate.

Then he starts shooting arrows from the shadow of the tree shield into the flourishing with the aim of the warriors and soldiers of Cilentium forming on the walls.

"Calm down and respond!

When Hull shouted without a flying arrow blade, the arrows were simultaneously fired from the walls.

Against the Fried Bow Warriors who stand in front of the wooden shield and shoot arrows from its shadow, on the Cilentium side, multiple Archers and Bow Warriors shoot arrows from the rectangular separated chest wall.

The Cilentium side is after the warriors with the Marutai.

The arrows fired from the chest wall do not overshoot and hit one Fried Warrior after another but the momentum does not stop.

With the blood flowing from the arrows stabbed in his shoulders, arms, and back intact, Fried Warrior devours his teeth and slaps Marutai as he raises his beastly groaning voice.

A momentous first blow was made to the castle gate east of Cilentium.

Whispering ground sounds and crushing noises, the tip of the marutai is cracked and a dent is worn in the brand new wooden castle gate.

"Wow, I won't keep any of this...!

"Of what, there's a way to deal with it... let go of the big oil pot!

When Hal couldn't hide his impatience for more power than Marutai could imagine, Altrius gave instructions and an oil kettle was thrown from the side of the castle gate to the vicinity of Marutai.

The brittle ceramic oil kettle cracks and sprinkles the surrounding beast fat clogged inside as it falls onto the whole or surrounding ground.

"Release the fire arrows!

When the fire arrows were unleashed by the decree of Altrius again, and the sprinkled beast fat caught fire, the flame immediately enveloped not only Marutai, but the warriors around him.

The Fried warriors, who were about to take Marutai down and knock the second blow to the castle gate, scream in a sudden fire.

Some receive fire directly into their bodies, and after a while they cease to move.

The warriors screamed and abandoned Marutai, and began to escape straw from the front of the castle gate.

Brave Fried warriors don't seem to like fire either, they bear a big burn, and some of them are in charge of it and are retreating.

Wow, I cheered, but Suzu was immediately dismissed.

"Border Guardian Which! Give me that!"

Seeing the direction Hal pointed in that direction at Archiand's chopped voice, he now saw the warriors with the long marutai approaching the moat and standing Ogi at his disposal.

"Archers! Aim for that one!!

Hull gives the instructions in a hurry.

An arrow was released one after the other from the side of Cilentium, aiming at the Fried Warrior, who was making a force bubble at the root of the tree, eating up his teeth and pushing Marutai as far as his power could to pass him over the moat.

But no warriors sink in a single blow unless they hit the steeple, just like the warriors who headed for the castle gate, and the Fried warriors finally finished upright the three Marutai.

Soldiers and warriors can wolf at the Marutai, which slowly leans against the walls of the Cilentium.

"Damn, the soldiers at the drop point are evading once!

At Hal's behest, the soldiers retreated from three locations, while a whimpering shock sounded.

Marutai crushed the chest wall and hung it over the castle wall.

One falls as-is and falls into the moat, raising a flashy blister, but the other two are well fed into the walls.

Faster than the Cilentium side took to prepare for melee combat, Fried's plagiarized, light-hearted warriors came running up Marutai at once.

The warriors who happen to be attached to the walls slaughter and kill the surprising Armar bowmen around them and throw them under the walls.

"Go! Eliminate enemy warriors!

An imperial soldier put up a defensive battle with shields lined up on the walls in Hull's ordinance, which was finally put out.

The Imperial Soldier who built the Shield Wall creeps into the Fried Warrior as he houses behind him the Armar Bow Warrior, who has painstakingly escaped the Ferocious Blade.

Freed warriors were not even frightened by the appearance of new enemies, shouted and stormed once and for all, wielding swords, spears and axes violently and slaughtered, but the imperial soldiers waited calmly and without loosening the battle line.

There are multiple overlapping sounds of iron and wood, metal and metal, wood and flesh, and various people colliding with each other.

Imperial soldiers lined up their shields to weep, preventing the Fried Warriors from storming.

However, with fierce attacks and slaughter, the large rectangular shield of the Imperial soldier is occasionally scratched and blurred, but the Imperial soldier even lays down his patience.

And the breath of a tired Freed warrior cut off slightly.

Don't miss that momentary gap when the hands of the attack have loosened, and the Imperial soldiers push forward with their shields at once.

A fried warrior who can raise his anger and wolf.

Without that desperate resistance, the Imperial Soldier raised his voice and pressed his shield, creating a gap in his shield for a moment to protrude fiercely through the tips of his sword and spear.

Freed warrior with a spike in his belly or leg and sinking into a bloodbath.

Eventually, the momentum reversed and the Fried Warriors were pushed back from the front and back to the point where they hung the Round Tai in the crossfire of the Imperial Soldiers.

"Throw the tiny pot to Marutai! Burn it down! '

On Altrius' order, a small pot filled with oil is thrown at Marutai.

Fire arrows were fired again on top of an oil kettle that burst one after the other and filled the whole thickness with beast fat.

When they make a bursting noise and Marutai is engulfed in fire, the Fried Warriors who were about to follow them fall screaming into the moat.

The remaining Fried Warriors were also breathing up and were plunged into the moat in the hands of soldiers and warriors on the imperial side without being able to fight satisfactorily.

The Fried Warriors were compelled to give up any more attacks on the Imperial Soldiers, who compensated for the breast wall torn with shields and prevented bows from coming from Fried.

Eventually, when Marutai, which became burnt charcoal and became brittle, broke boggly and fell to the moat, the imperial soldiers struck the shield simultaneously against the wall with cancer and cheered more.

"Predecessor, it's time to strike the enemy bow warrior as well.

"Uhm."

Confirming that Altrius nodded, Hal lined the chest wall with imperial soldiers equipped with imperial crossbows as he retreated the bowmen from the restored walls.

"All right, stand... let go!!

On Hull's decree, a crossbow struck a string simultaneously, and a short arrow flying linearly struck the Fried bowmen hiding behind a tree shield.

The powerful crossbow arrows easily eat through the tree shields prepared by the Fried Warriors and burst into the flesh of the Bow Warriors who were lurking behind them.

Throughout the Freed Army camp, shouts and startled anger rose.

"Second shot, let go!

On Hull's order again, the loaded crossbow releases the arrow again.

Like earlier, the arrows crushed, struck out, and destroyed Fried's shield and pierced the warriors.

I could see the upset Fried Warriors still trying so hard to respond, preparing new shields from the rear, but only muddy coping.

"Are you finished loading?... All right, third shot, let go!

No pushing arrows are unleashed, and the Fried Bow Warriors fall one after the other after a shield that does not exchange for them.

Finally, unable to bear the power of the crossbow, the Freed army began to retreat, and from the walls of the Cilentium cheered with a victory of engagement.

"I didn't know the crossbow was about to be ready. Damn, this is too close! Back off!!"

Pushed by the power of a crossbow that doesn't seem like something forty years old that Altrius had fallen into, Danford orders the bowmen to retreat.

The Bow Warriors abandon the destroyed tree shield on the spot and return to the battlefield with these bodies.

He ordered melee fire to increase the power of his own bow, but the maneuver was completely behind him by the massive crossbow that Cilentium had.

I hate the cheer from the city, but I can't do anything about it.

The crushing operation in Marutai was also on fire and had to be interrupted for the first time, and the Freed Army jerked off to the first attack and returned to its original formation.

A short while later, Bergan showed up for a report to the main unit where Danford was located.

"... Prince Danford, there are about 200 people damaged in this fight.

"What!!

Danford gets dramatically high in just one battle, and too many sacrifices to put out in a fight, but Bergan went on to report casually and faintly.

"Besides, there seem to be more warriors and soldiers in Cilentium than I thought. I was wondering if there might be 2,000..."

"Well, that's it... even if it's a force attack..."

The defeat in the battle is painful, but the battle is still to come.

Danford cools his hot head and rethinks.

As Danford, I want to end my father's king in the midst of this battle, at the hands of the Empire.

It is by the death of the hero king that we stir up our enemies against the empire, that we take an even greater advantage over the Halemians and the Orans after consolidating the bond of Cliffonam, and reign over the northern lands of this continent.

To that end, he snuck a spy into Cilentium to work out a plan, and gained the authority of the Sun Cleric until he arrested Alshalea.

Besides, if the king dies on the battlefield, he can naturally take over that military power.

The immense treasure of Cilentium, which would be won in the war, helps to improve Danford's authority.

With this difference in force, I stepped on the idea that it would be easy to attack the city with a force attack, but given the counter-attack power shown by Cilentium in the fight, it was expected that if we continued to attack, this damage would be so great that we couldn't ignore it.

The Cilentium solar cleric also promised to respond, and it would be better to carry things along as planned here.

There's nothing to rush.

"... then we will besiege the city as planned, there is no need to force it to attack.

Danford regained his composure and gave orders to the warrior chiefs under his command.

'You're way down... well, it's on schedule.

Altrius divulges his thoughts when he sees the Fried Army, which has begun to besiege Cilentium in far-flung winds.

"You're probably going to keep bringing it into the siege... so that you can take a break while you take turns each other. Prostitutes need to repair the chest wall immediately!

Hal says, as half of the soldiers and warriors descend below the walls, prostitutes who have changed and applied from Cilentium citizens carry cement, bricks and wall stones to climb up to the walls.

And worked on repairing the torn chest wall that the Imperial soldiers would make up with their shields.

I knew it would be a long stretch from the beginning, there was no rush.

It will be a lasting war for a while, but there are measures here, and food, consumables and repair materials are well secured.

"... is there a movement in half a month or so?

"Yeah, that'll be about it.

When Arkiando uttered his words, Hal replied with a nod.
