Border Guardian Hal Akircius

Chapter 8: One Day of Urban Initiation Border Protection Officers (Part 3)

Castle Gate south of Cilentium that night

Although the Cilentium has recently grown in number of people, there are still many untouched neighborhoods, especially in the South Side, where many people still do not live.

While easy-to-develop land exists to the east and west, close to the South Side is land that used to be wetlands, and there are still times when there are insufficient nursery maintenance and waterways in place.

But the southern castle gate is the first Cilentium to be seen by those coming from the Empire.

For this reason, the Harmonium-era castle gates made by Altrius were the most magnificent and prestigious of all.

Decorations and repairs have been added after Hal's assignment, and the marble is renewing its prestige by raising a bright white color at night.

Combined with the sound of clean tap water flowing through the surroundings, the surroundings were like fantasy towns.

Two shadows climb to the castle gate to the south of it.

The guard soldiers do not climb the night tower and are sentinel near the castle gate, so now the deserted castle gate.

Two people reached the top of it, Hal and Ellesia.

After returning with him from the public bathroom and having dinner with him, Hal invited Erreisia for a stroll.

Sometimes even now, there have been walks like this, so Ellesia responded to Hal's invitation without any particular thought.

"Yeah, it's a good view, as I thought.

"Yeah, really, there's a good moon out there again tonight, so it's even more beautiful around..."

The full moon shined in heaven, and stars of various colors filled the night sky with no gaps to colour it.

A breeze containing a gentle warmth looms through the surroundings of the two looking up at it.

The wind mixed with the smell of dirt and grass flowers made the two feel smaller, reminiscent of the spring season.

Cilentium will be celebrating its first spring since the city was founded.

The peasants are now working late and in the development of the nursery and are preparing to sow without fail.

Citizens had great hopes for the future and were striving to live and work every day.

If Hal with such thoughts looks behind him, there's the light of the little but brilliant houses.

Is there a tavern downtown that sounds faintly fun?

If you clear your ears, you also seem to hear little kids groaning and babies crying.

I also hear the troubled voices of my parents embarrassing it.

With nature and barely his mouth intact, Hal spoke quietly to Erreisia.

"Can you hear me?... this voice.

"Yeah, hold on.

"See? The quiet happiness of this city?

"Of course it is.

When Hal glanced back, there was a smiling Erlacia face there.

"You're annoying, Hal. You did what you had to do here.

To Ellesia's words, Hal opens his mouth when he shakes his neck to the left and right.

"Thank you so much for coming so far, Ellesia, thanks to you.

"No, I didn't do anything. I just did a little bridge with the people first, and then Hal, you brought people together, built the city, and brought this kind of peace and routine to this Cilentium after the battle.

"Still, if I hadn't met you that day, I wouldn't have been who I am now.

Hal says so, taking both Ellesia's hands slowly wrapped from the front, and gripping them to warm with his own hands.

"Today, thank you and then... do me a favor..."

"... please, is it?

Ellesia was a little surprised while leaving her hands to Hull full of joy.

Because I have never acted like this before from him.

Captured by the exuberance around his eyes, as Erlacia was lightly confused, Hal slowly opened Erlacia's left hand and put a gold ring in it.

"Hal! This is..."

Hal took a deep breath before slowly spinning the word, staring with a serious look from the front at Ellesia, who was surprised to see the golden shining ring in her hand.

Listen to Hal's words, and Ellesia doesn't wander around holding the ring around her chest.

"Ellesia, I need you, and I want you to come with me, ever and ever.

The wind blows.

The spring wind slowly blew, rocking the perimeter of the street tree and making a sound of leaf rubbing.

And the silence to return.

"There's still something to be done... well, I can't say well, but with Elle, there's something I want to do. About the city, about the two of us... and everything else..."

"Hal!"

To block Hal's words on the way, Ellesia deposited herself with Hal holding the ring.

And as he kept saying nothing and burying his face in Hull's chest, Ellesia began to speak in a small voice.

"... I've been waiting, Hal, I've been waiting. I was anxious.

I felt warm moisture on my skin through my clothes and Hal gently turned his hand around Ellesia's back.

"Sorry, I knew I wasn't quite ready.

The option of going home that couldn't be abandoned.

I gave up once, but the maple visit had given the choice a realistic touch.

I was lost, but I also decided to be ready.

"Elle, I'm sorry to make you anxious, but I made up my mind. I'll stay here with you, even if you fire a border guard.

"It's okay, my father gave me the throne of Freed. Besides, I didn't like Hal because he's a border guard.

When Hal clearly says so, Ellesia answers with a slightly wet face in tears away from Hal.

With a bitter smile at the answer, Hal gently took the ring that Ellesia was gripping and gently fitted it into its left hand pharmacopoeia finger.

"This is the customs of the empire, then this one, the customs of the homeland.

Hal looks satisfied at the ring nestled in Ellesia's pharmacopoeia finger and removes the short guard knife he had placed on his back while saying so, handing it to Ellesia.

The sheath and pattern are aligned in white to match the colour of Ellesia's usual long coat.

"What's this?

"It's called a guard knife. The swordsman's wife is about the protective sword she must have. Yes, turn around.

Erlacia stared inadvertently at the glowing ring in the moonlight as she was tied to Hull with a protective knife with a sword band from the top of her longcoat belt, crunching her pompously.

"My wife..."

Hal speaks out after a while.

"Yes, I could.

Turning around in Hal's words, Ellesia smiled full face.

"Hal, you're not letting go anymore, are you? I will follow you no matter what.

"Welcome, sorry to keep you waiting, it's a pleasure to meet you.

The two, who said so with a smile, stare at each other for a while, then softly overlap their lips.

Hal quietly turned his hand around Ellesia's waist.

The warmer wind dances around the two of us.

"Ah... hal..."

Once away, the two threw up hot exhales like they were floating in heat at the same time.

And again.

Under the moonlight, they lived their time overlapping at all times.

Nancheng Gate, Bow Shooting Equipment

There are two other people who erase the signs with their surgery, kill their breath and watch the two at a distance.

I said in a smaller voice, blurry and glowing.

"Hmm, I thought I'd make up my mind around today, no doubt about my standpoint.

"Elle, good for you..."

One is apparently an elderly woman, with a few tears.

A man shouted at it.

"What? Lord, are you crying... at a good age.

"... age won't matter, you often rude ghost.

A man says with a sense of relief, sparing a woman who squeals her nose small and then protests.

'Hmm, whatever it is, Haruyoshi has now chosen to stay in Cilentium for the rest of his life. And the nations shall be assured.

"You must have been anxious, too, huh?

'... sort of, if you mean it.

The woman asked, and the man answered slightly unwillingly.

"I only want my niece's happiness, Hal. You'll be fine.

'Let's not worry about that. No one is as honest as he is.

When a man responds to a woman's voice again in a nosy manner, the woman carries on the words in dissatisfaction.

"I'm not, you dull grandfather ghost! Kids. Kids."

"... Lord..."

"Ah - I want to see it soon - two babies..."

A woman who ignores a man and peeks at two overlapping people as she says so.

"At all, we need to be careful not to put strange pills on Halyoshi..."

That's how the man spoke to himself in disdain.
