Border Guardian Hal Akircius

Chapter 12: The Battle of Cilentium's Winter/North of the Year (Part 7)

Cilentium Army Right Wing

"Take defensive formation!

By order of Belius, the Northern Legion soldiers simultaneously rearranged their shields deep on the ground and took the position to take the attack.

Shortly before, the Halemians, stripped of their yellow teeth, roared and stormed.

The Halemians, who fled to the Ineon River Basin once, showed a structure to resist when they saw the 23rd legion marching on whether they could afford a little.

And when the 23rd legion entered, it suddenly struck.

Belius, who decided there was no time to cast a hand-throat arrow, chose to take the attack and spend it.

Rusty, crooked swords, slapping, poking, and cutting at shields held by Northern Legion soldiers, but don't let the avant-garde of the 23rd Legion be slight.

He was a Halemian who persisted in striking his sword even though it did not work with cancer cancer, but before that, he crossed the river and was attacked by the positions of the Cilentium army and remained running all the time, thus gradually losing momentum.

Even the momentum of the voice falls.

Belius watched carefully, but watched as the enemy's hips began to come out, knowing that the time had come.

"Push back!"

Until then, there is a grin in the mouth of the Northern Legion soldiers, who even ate their teeth and continued to withstand enemy attacks.

Instantly an avant-garde shield was pushed forward with the cries of Northern Legion soldiers, and a blown Halemian was stabbed to death with the sword of Northern Legion soldiers in amazement.

Unlike the Imperial soldiers, the Northern Legion soldiers are not physically inferior to the Halemians, so when they push up their thoughtful shields, they all fall on their backs.

"Second row!

The first and only second rows, which were withstanding the attack, took turns and were attacked by frightened and lagging Halemians.

"Third row!

Belius and the 23rd Regiment for further pursuit.

Halemians retreat towards the Ineon River, but tribal United Warriors were waiting there.

Occasionally the Halemians are driven away by both armies and defeated in the direction of the Ereil River.

They then hit the central part of their army, the faction forming Bagan.

"Flamethrowing begins!

Belius ordered flamethrowing, aiming where the fleeing left-wing Halemians and the Halemians, who were consolidating their main formation, were dense.

The engineers who rolled the wheels and moved between the shields erected by the Northern Legion soldiers pushed the hand pump through their heads.

The flames stroke the Halemians mercilessly with the roar.

A whimpering scream rose, burning his back and stomach, burning his hands and feet, and the smothering continued.

The flying fire is scattered around.

Confusion spread by chance.

Cilentium Army Central

The front of Hal's command was that Bagan, the chief of the Halemians, had come out immediately and was also wary and was to be subjected to fierce assaults.

Uh-oh.

The eccentricity of the Halemians echoes around.

"Don't be a wolf! Set up a shield, take the Interpersonal Turtle Armor formation!

Hal's decree is issued, and a Northern Legion soldier holds his shield in the front, and then a soldier in the rear row wears his own shield over the head of the soldiers in the front row.

The distance is already close and I don't have time to let go of the hand-throwed arrows.

A blunt and dull noise called Zugan sounded.

The Halemians have used all their strength to get to know each other.

There are also those who curse unacceptably, but soldiers in the immediate aftermath of the battle take shock by supporting the shoulders of soldiers in the front row.

Ghaaaaaa.

It is very unlikely to be a roar, the Halemians who beat their sticks and swords to their shields unscrupulously while raising their screaming voices, but their blades and blows do not reach as far as the Northern Legion soldiers because the soldiers in the rear row wear their shields over the heads of the soldiers in the front row.

Kicking him in the shield, trying to hit him from his shoulder, the Halemians managed to try every means to break through the strong line of Northern Legion soldiers, but tired of attacking the lines of the 21st Legion, which they did not make slight, began to slow down their movements.

Gradually, a similar situation emerges, but the Halemians behind them become even more front-line in order to come in without sight.

"Now! Push back!"

The tension slammed through the gaps of the Halemians, and the front row stepped out in unison with Hull's decree.

A soldier in the rear row and in the third row pushes the back of a soldier in the front row with his shield in both hands, pushing with force.

Halemians who were dense, but could not stomp for it, and were defeated by an unintentional push.

On top of that, a Northern Legion soldier pierces his sword, drops his shield on his head, and even passes as he tramples.

The soldiers in the front row raised the bellies of the confused Halemians to a blood festival by giving them swords from the gaps in their shields.

"Stop! Prepare the second and third rows of hand throwing arrows!... Throw the second shot, throw the third!

Immediately in response to Hull's early order of arrow succession, the 21st Corps paused perfectly, taking the position of preventing the enemy from attacking while the soldiers in the front row kept their shields in place, while the soldiers in the second and third rows quickly removed, erected and released their hand-throwed arrows from the back of their shields.

Not to say that it was opened for a little while, but at close range, the hand throwing arrows thrown simultaneously make a sharp wind-cut noise in a linear orbit and pierce the Halemians.

He who falls with a hand-throat arrow in his head, he who is shot through the chest plate and falls, he who goes around stabbing himself in the stomach, he who hits his hands and feet also cries out with great injury.

And the second shot was thrown thoughtfully, and the Halemians happened to sink into the blood smoke.

Halemians who fear well-trained combat action that can be described as mechanical.

But the barbaric courage was not yet exhausted, and they came at us with an odd voice.

Hagrind, the youngest soldier in the Leilken Ten squad, was shielded in the front row, but the fat middle-aged man of the Halemians let him go backwards because he had been hitting his bare body.

"Ah!?

Unfortunately, there is a pile of Halemian blood mud in the place where I lowered my legs, and Hagrind, who can't even help Railken or his fellow soldiers in time, is taken off my legs and falls over every shield.

The Halemians have not missed that gap and have come to kill to rip open the shield walls.

Hagrind, whose rear soldier is also falling to fill the hole, can't step forward in the way.

Halemians approaching their hands with a smile and cracked sword to the point of decadence.

As Hagrind drew his face to fear, and Railken floated the color of his renunciation, an arrow with black arrow feathers stood between the eyebrows of the leading Halemians with a sharp flying sound.

Halemians flipping with a grin that sticks without saying anything.

Surprising Leilken and Hagrind to the margins, now the two-striped line runs.

When the Halemians who were behind him and the man who had hit Heglind also fell under successive arrows, Lairken filled the hole that Haglind had opened immediately after looking behind him.

"Hold on!

Caused by the soldiers of another squad that was around him, Hagrind, pulled out to the rear, looks behind him surprised, and he sees Hal staring at an arrow with a face that doesn't eat anything.

"Are you all right? Are you hurt?

The soldiers ask, but Hagrind stared at Hal with a snort, unable to speak out with surprise and relief.

Leaving a sigh of relief, Hal unleashes an arrow in another direction without noticing Hagrind's gaze when the soldiers who helped Hagrind return to their positions.

When I followed with my eyes the black arrow wings flying in a straight line like I drew a frightening line, the giant Han Halemian, who was about to pull so with both hands holding the shield of a Northern Legion soldier in the left-wing direction, flipped upside down.

"Twenty-first Regiment forward!

With Hull's decree bowed down resounding, Hagrind returns to me to regain his shield and rise.

"You don't have to, so put it on the tail."

Hal spoke to Hagrind when he tried to get back on track.

"What?"

He pounds on the shoulder of the amazing Hagrind and follows Hull to an army that moves forward.

"... wow"

Hal had narrowed his distance slightly so as to intimidate the Bagans, who were coming up to provoke him with a roar, but he ordered a further advance to the 21st Corps under his command, seeing the left wing of the enemy chased by Belius and Gatti hit and confused with the center.

"Proceed!"

"You coward. Ahhhhhhhhhh. Fight!!

Bagan, who boiled his business to Hull without provocation, screams, but is immediately swallowed up in chaos.

"Start flamethrowing!!

There Hal pointed the flamethrower's fire escape.

Seeing as the chiefs were consumed by the flames and turned into ashes with the whimpering noise, the Halemians finally began to crumble by striking an avalanche towards the Ereil River.

"Drive him away!"

The Northern Legion soldiers of the 21st Regiment who chase to its rear on Hull's orders, letting the delayed Halemians slaughter them and slay them with spears.

The 23rd legion, led by Belius from the right wing, also followed.

From the banks of the river Ineon, tribal coalition warriors are raising the Halemians to blood festivals as they restrain the crossing.

Forced by the 22nd Legion and the Tribal United Warriors to limit their path, the Halemians, driven from the rear by the 21st and 23rd Legions, were swallowed one after the other by the Great River of Ereil.

Several Halemians opened their bloodlines and fled north, but the situation is truly wiped out.

This is how as many as 400,000 Halemians were cleaned up without a trace.

Ineon Riverside

Tits and leftovers made noises all over the place, burning the black-burned corpse even more persistently.

Sleepy odors and smoke drift through the battlefield, and soldiers in the 23rd Corps bury the bodies on the edge of the riverbank hill one after the other, spilling their stupidity at being assigned the body treatment.

The Cilentium Extraordinary Regiment and the 22nd Regiment were engaged in laying work to bridge the Ineon River by converting the materials they were using for their positions, and the 21st Regiment was entering with the Tribal United Warriors Regiment as they released reconnaissance to the perimeter to secure loot and prisoners left on the north bank of the Ineon River.

The loot came from the Possian and Sedenian tribes; livestock, clothing, ornaments and humans such as wheat and black wheat, dried meat and vegetables, cattle, horses, pigs and chickens.

Medical technicians from the 21st Corps take the lead in treating the injured and sick, and also use loot to start distributing.

There were no adult men at all, only women and children, connected to chains, ropes, or stuffed in caged carriages.

They are all badly debilitated and unlikely to move immediately.

Fortunately, the Halemians were almost completely wiped out, so Hal decided to set up a barracks on the spot.

"... we're running out of hands, Mr. Bergan, and I need you to send word to Fradia as soon as possible to get backup from the pharmacist and the medic."

"I understand. As soon as possible."

At Hull's request, Bergan chose an assigned cavalry, and at that time he tried to verbally convey the order, when Belius came from the south bank across the finished bridge of laying.

Behind it also continues Adamantius and Quintus, but they both have strong faces.

"Is something wrong?

As Hal stared suspiciously at those three hurrying to come, the opening best, Belius said away to slap them.

"Lord Border Guardian, they've done it!

"Huh?"

"Fradia... fell"

"What the hell!!?
