Chapter 103: The "Daddy" Cannon
As for Toti, since he was naturally good at laying down suppressive fire and was incredibly strong, the mini Vulcan Cannon that Kevin mass-produced was still his main weapon.
Eliana, on the other hand, wasn’t used to fighting with weapons, so Kevin didn’t push her.
In the end, Kevin chose a compound bow called [Elven String] and a war hammer called [Giant’s Grip] from the remaining two A-Tier weapon selection chests. Both were unboxed by Nova.
He picked so many weapons not just to boost the team’s combat power, but also because he had his own plan: to unlock the strongest fighting potential of every crew member under the [Eight Arms] state.
While the girls were excitedly testing out their new weapons, Kevin was already imagining in his mind a brand-new combat stance under the Eight Arms state—where he would have ten arms in total, wielding multiple weapons all at once.
Raphael noticed that Kevin seemed troubled and walked over to check on him. "Captain, what’s wrong? Is there a problem?"
"I’m thinking about how to make the most of these weapons." Kevin said. Then he asked Luna for the "Thousand-Armed Octopus Holy Spring" and drank it right in front of everyone.
[Sanity -30]
Kevin felt dizzy. Several ribs pierced through his skin like sharp spikes, and one by one, strong arms grew out from his back. He actually grew eight extra arms.
The girls around him covered their mouths in shock and stared at Kevin, who now looked like a demon god.
Kevin breathed heavily, forcing himself to endure the intense pain.
That girl Luna was really tough. The side effects of this drug were brutal, and she still managed to make it work.
Thinking back to the past few days, when he had locked his Sanity to 1 point and kept helping Luna test her drugs, Kevin couldn’t help but feel a sense of admiration.
Luna was definitely a tough woman.
"How do you feel?" Luna came up behind Kevin and gently touched his arm.
"Sanity dropped by 30 points, plus a lot of body pain." Kevin tried stretching his arms. Luckily, he could still control them.
When Luna heard that Kevin had lost 30 points of Sanity, her eyes darkened. "Looks like only you, me, and Nova can drink this stuff. Anyone else would probably go crazy on the spot."
Kevin spread all ten hands and gave a helpless smile. "Better not drink it unless it’s life or death. Come on, let’s go see how much combat power I can put out in this state."
As soon as he finished speaking, the Wheels of Flame & Wind under his feet spun rapidly, carrying him out the window and onto the deck.
By the time the others got to the deck, Kevin was already holding seven weapons.
Except for the bow [Elven String] and the sniper rifle [Zero Error], which needed both hands to use, his other six hands were filled with a sword, a blade, a hammer, a shield, a crossbow, and an assault rifle.
Then, on the sea in front of him...
Fire and ice kept mixing together, sending up huge clouds of steam.
Thunderbolts shot through the steam, Exploding water everywhere.
Countless bullets poured out, basically sweeping across the entire area 1,000 meters in front of Kevin.
When Toti saw Kevin like this, he blurted out, "Holy crap! Captain, if you go out looking like this and pretend to be an Eldritch Entity Commander, you’d definitely win an Oscar."
Raphael shook his head, then nodded, and sighed. "If this image gets out, the Captain might really be seen as a big villain."
Monchhichi stood to the side and nodded. "These past few days, Kevin has told us not to pay attention to what people are saying on the world channel. But now, all the Survivors who are still alive are starting to point fingers at us."
Raphael shrugged. "That Kamiza Saki is still spreading rumors. A lot of Survivor fleets have already started forming alliances. They want to hunt us down and take our resources and treasures."
Nova smirked from the side. "They’d better have the strength to back it up. Look, they’re still shocked about who bought up all the remaining A-Tier chests."
Kevin listened to the girls talking and was about to cancel his [Eight Arms] ability. Suddenly, his [Navigator] Talent sent out a warning.
Several ships were heading quickly toward their island.
Kevin frowned when he noticed this.
Normally, this island was closer to the Black Curtain.
There shouldn’t be any Survivor ships coming this way right now.
Thinking about this, Kevin called over Monchhichi and Raphael. That’s when he found out that he had become the big boss of the game. A bunch of Survivors had already formed groups to hunt him down and take his loot.
"What a bunch of idiots who don’t know when to quit." Kevin turned to look into the distance and said in a low voice, "Since those Survivors see us as the bad guys, we might as well act like it."
With that, he deactivated his [Eight Arms] state, unfolded the sea map that Lilith had marked for him, and drew three big X’s on it. "Toti, follow this route."
Toti snapped his fingers and shouted: "Set sail!"
Then he suddenly thought of something and asked, "Captain, shouldn’t we give this ship a name?"
Kevin said, "Call it ’Daddy.’"
Toti: "Daddy?"
Kevin: "Good son!"
One day later.
The "Daddy" Cannon docked near a coral reef.
Kevin sat on a raised coral island and finished scanning the last rubber boat.
Meanwhile, the girls had collected a large number of Survivor corpses and belongings, including C-Tier equipment and Eldritch Artifacts.
Of course, without exception, all these treasures were returned to Kevin’s system backpack as reward refunds.
As for the items the girls had collected, Kevin still let them keep whatever they wanted. Except for Toti.
Toti, shirtless, piled the Survivor corpses into a small boat and tied it to the back of the *Daddy* with a rope.
After throwing the last corpse in, he complained, "Captain, these bodies stink! Why don’t we just throw them into the sea?"
Kevin rolled his eyes. "We’re in a rest period right now. No Eldritch Entities are attacking us. If we dump these bodies into the sea now, wouldn’t that be a waste?"
"You have to be smart about things. When the rest period ends, we’ll throw them into the sea. By then, this boatload of bodies will attract at least a thousand Eldritch Entities."
Toti counted on his fingers, then his eyes went wide. "Oh, so you’re saying we have to drag this pile of stinking corpses around for a whole week? That’s disgusting!"
Kevin grinned. "If we sail against the wind, the smell won’t blow onto our ship."
Just then, Celula walked over with a frown. "Kevin, those three ships have entered my detection range. They’re at the island we were just at. Do you want to go back and teach them a lesson?"
Kevin closed his eyes for a moment, sensing the situation, then smiled. "No need to go back. Let them keep chasing us from behind. Let them enjoy the smell of those corpses."
Celula frowned at this. "But we’ve already left that island. How can they still track our exact location?"
Monchhichi couldn’t hold back her laughter as she patted Celula on the head. "You can thank Stephanie for that."
"Stephanie?" Celula frowned, looking completely confused.
Just then, Nova and Raphael walked over as well. They smiled and explained everything from the beginning.
Turns out, Kevin hadn’t been doing nothing. Over the past day, he had Stephanie constantly sending out distress signals to the outside world.
A large number of Survivors who wanted to hunt Kevin down secretly contacted Stephanie.
Stephanie took the chance to cry about how she had been treated like an animal, and she leaked a lot of information about Kevin’s ship to those Survivors.
Of course, all the information she gave out had been carefully checked by Kevin first.
Since Stephanie had been locked up in the cabin the whole time, almost no one outside knew that there was a girl like her on Kevin’s ship.
Plus, Stephanie kept sending out pretty selfies, mixed with words of despair and accusations. Those protective Survivors went crazy.
After all, on this terrifying sea, pretty girls usually die young.
A girl with looks like Stephanie’s was basically a goddess to these men who hadn’t seen a woman or felt love in a long time.
Some Survivor fleet captains even gave up on hunting Kevin for loot and changed their goal to "rescuing Stephanie."
All of a sudden, the whole terrifying sea was buzzing with people coming to cause trouble for Kevin.
Right now, Celula could only sense three ships tracking Kevin. But in Kevin’s own detection range, there were already more than twenty ships heading his way from all directions.
When Celula learned all this, her eyes went wide. "Kevin, why are you stirring up so many Survivor groups? Are you going to kill innocent people?"
Kevin chuckled and rubbed Celula’s head hard. "Do I look like someone that cruel?"
Seeing the girls around him all nodding with a "yes" expression, Kevin spread his hands and smiled helplessly. He explained, "Killing other Survivors doesn’t really do me any good. I don’t care about their equipment or Eldritch Artifacts."
"The only reason I called them here is to rob them."
"Rob them?" The girls looked at Kevin with confused expressions.
They didn’t understand what this man wanted to steal. He had just said he didn’t care about their equipment or Eldritch Artifacts.
Seeing that they misunderstood, Kevin smiled and explained: "What I want to rob is the Eldritch Entities that attack them."
Kevin raised his wrist to check his watch. "If I’m counting right, after tonight, those normal Survivors’ rest period will end. Then they’ll have to face Eldritch Entity attacks again."
"But for us, we’ll still be in our rest period for the next seven days. No Eldritch Entities will attack us. That means those Survivors will get seven extra days to grow stronger than us."
"Do you want to let the advantage you fought so hard for slip away?"
Hearing this, the girls finally understood. Kevin was planning to steal the monster resources meant for those Survivor groups.
Their eyes all lit up.
