According to information from Sheila, after the snake-byte was captured, it was lost and a survey was conducted into a building near the port due to the work of the Adventurer's Guild, but unfortunately that one ended up empty.
Because Snakebyte interrupted the call, huh? Afraid of leaking information during the magic interrogation, the killer on the base's side must have escaped.
But Sheila says there are other suspicious strongholds in and out of the Cardiff Count family besides where Snakebytes were in and out.
Then before you go to the Adventurer Alliance, look down there first. I can't tell you that I've decided to cooperate with the Adventurer Alliance without sharing some information.
Sheila's guide led us to a building surrounded by tall walls on the South Side. Watching from the street a little further away.
"Is that the building"
"Yes, but there's a lookout at the entrance and I can't get inside."
"If we monitor that lookout... can we hold back evidence that there's a connection to Count Cardiff's house?
"As far as I've been watching, the watchmen live inside that building and there's no turnover of personnel. Neither has the family of the Earl Cardiff family appeared since. Looks like he hasn't even brought in supplies..."
I see.... the same goes for the Black Transformation Stone, but I'm guessing the Summoner or someone with similar skills and knowledge is on the enemy. That sounds like quite an arm too. Even considering the fact that the Adventurer Alliance has never grasped the existence of the Black Rotation Stone before.
If you decide to escape from the port base, you can use the transfer magic to travel around the city without seeing people, and you can carry supplies and change personnel inside the building.
I don't even think it's that thorough from time to time... but the snake-byte caught must have raised the alarm considerably.
"Well, I get it"
Cadkeus, away from my shadow, slipped down the alley and climbed the walls... into the grounds. Vision remains linked. Because it drains a little magic to maintain sensory tone, but it is necessary.
"Now...?
"Is there something wrong?
"... no"
Sheila looked surprised.
... That's a lot of sharp feeling. He sensed some signs because he moved Cadkeus.
I want to keep my hand down more than I know if I can trust her, so let me stay down when it comes to Cadkeus' existence.
For now, that building is supposed to remain undercover.
Let's go talk to the Adventurer Alliance. There will be a way to talk to Rosetta and get Prince Albert to turn around from that route if you have to.
Sheila looked back several times as she walked away. Looks like they've been pulling my hair a long time back.
Well, yeah. I don't know if a friend of mine might be caught in that building.
Once it's over empty-handed, even if you talk to the Adventurer Guild from now on, you don't know if you can move quickly, and if you use transfer magic, you could get away with it again.
I don't give the executioner any more information directly connected above than there is a magical interrogation, or I suppose he took precautions such as having more than one base, and I can't say enough that there is no next base.
"What happened to one snake-byte case?
Head to the Adventurer Guild and cut out the receptionist's greeting to Heather there as well. Sheila says she waits unaccompanied.
"... shouldn't we be less involved in that kind of talk?
"Well, I know you're worried, and I appreciate it."
You wouldn't want to tell a kid adventurer about a bunch of peer hunters.
"I got information about the building that my snake-byte buddies were in and out of. It wouldn't be prudent to shut up."
"... is that true?
"Yes."
Let's just lay low about the Count Cardiff family. No wonder the Earl Cardiff family and I are rubbing it, and it's hard for people to talk to me like that and think I have something else.
"I understand. It's just awkward here, so I'd like to talk to you in the back."
Send a gaze to Sheila as she watches this one as she looks at the requisition sticker and heads to the back room of the guild.
"I'm going to call for more up there, not me, so talk to you"
"Understood."
While waiting for Heather's superior, sit back in the chair and focus on Cadkeus' links and instructions.
If they're going to get away with it when they're detected, there are other ways and means of counteracting it.
Concentrating on the "other side" for a while, Heather, along with the sound of knocking on the door, and an old man with gray hair, white beard, came in.
"Dear Oswald, he is Theodor-Gartner. Mr. Theodore, this is Deputy Chief Oswald-Coppard."
Oswald-Coppard. It's something big that's come out again for a long time.
He's one of the NPCs that also appeared in the BFO, and he's famous in reality for the extent to which he appears in his books. He is the deputy director of the Term Wills Adventurer Guild and was called under the alias Kensei when he was active.
"Nice to meet you. My name is Theodor-Gartner."
"Hmm. My name is Oswald. Well, take it easy."
Sit across from Oswald.
Heather seems pretty nervous though.
"I heard you had information on one of the snake-bytes."
"Yeah, I was hoping I wouldn't get too involved in that one. Because the investigation with the information obtained from Snakebyte seems to have ended empty-handedly. I just want to ask you a few questions before I tell you anything."
"Something."
"Aren't there people buying red transboundary stones? Did you investigate from that line?
Black turning stones will be processed products from red turning stones, and if we're going to use them to kidnap for profit or profit, we have to collect red turning stones. I mean, there must be people buying that from the Adventurer Alliance.
Oswald closed his eyes and nodded, guessing what I was trying to say.
"I will. Looks like someone asked several groups of adventurers to buy a red crossing stone... but since the investigation ended empty-handedly about Snakebyte, don't be alarmed or disappear."
... I see. Exactly. The Count Cardiff family doesn't come to buy directly, either? The guy who was giving the instructions will know the circumstances to some extent. It could be connected directly to the Count Cardiff family.
"Then give me some information. The building is located in the South End."
Tell them where the building is located. Oswald asks, hoisting the edge of his lips.
"I hear things from you, too. How and from whom did you get that information?
Well, I haven't told you how. Though judgment will not be enough.
"I can't answer that."
"Hmm. Why?
"To protect informants. So guess what your name is. He's a friend of the victim's."
"... is that a bandit guild?
"I can't talk. But I didn't give him the information because I had an appointment with the Adventurer Guild, and I took the form of bringing the information I got from him here. More than that, I think it's just as important to keep his promise to keep his mouth shut as it is to keep his promise to the Alliance."
My role is as good as bridging.
"... don't stand a valve long enough. You don't think I'm gonna suspect you and try to put you in a magical interrogation?
"I don't mind, but I don't think you'll have time for that, do you?
I don't care if it's the source of the information soon.
"What do you mean?
"As far as I'm concerned, I think the discovery and rescue of those currently imprisoned is a top priority over procedures such as taking backup. All you have to do is force the case to brighten up and then do it carefully."
I put my hand on my left eye and look at the situation on Cadkeus' side.
Over there, it is now a scene where Cadkeus is diving into the keyhole, unlocking the lock, and escaping the victims who were imprisoned inside the cell.
The number of detected anomalies lay his hands on the sword of his hips, but by the hardened cadkeus, his hands and feet are skewered to the ground to the extent that they do not kill him and cannot escape.
There are not so many people in the facility. Let's hurt him moderately and crush him. That would be a witness, too.
I mean, if we could just ram Cadkeus in that facility, destroy the equipment, and get the prisoner out of here.
You think it's the obliteration of evidence or an escape? Smart imitation is impossible. Sheila told me where she was, and she thinks it was our win when Cadkeus found the victim who broke in.
Later, there will be physical evidence and testimony leading to Cardiff from among the remaining evidence and the executors. If that happens, even Maurice isn't making a scene where it's on me or Ashley.
"I've explored the facility, because I've already discovered the victim. Right now, we're letting the user demon rave to help the victim escape. You will need to arrange personnel who can disarm the magic of slaves."
As soon as he heard my words, Oswald stood up and told Heather.
"Put your arms on that spot now. Wait for us to break in. But that's not the case if you can detect any obvious anomalies. Support the rescue. Slave magic curses are the children of the Temple of the Moon. Hurry up with arrangements."
"Ha, yes!
Heather jumped out of the room.
Oswald smiles and lowers his hips somewhat to the chair.
"That's something interesting to do inside. If we didn't find the victim, we wouldn't be talking about demons, would we?
"Well...... right. Additionally, if it weren't for Master Oswald, we might have just had to refrain from talking about the demons and get the victims out. We've heard Oswald's stories since he was young."
Oswald is a slammer and an extravagant figure who is more indispensable in this unscrupulous episode than I. Oswald shook his shoulder and laughed at my answer.
