Boundary Labyrinth and the Foreign Magician

288 The Shadow of a Distant Knight

Originally, inside the border labyrinth is spread underground. Where we are now is a maze inside the labyrinth, and I'm not sure what to call it in order to be a further expression of the Castle Fort underground... Let me call it that because in the BFO we were going through the Castle Fort underground maze.

Either way, I remember it wasn't that massive, as the name Maze, not Labyrinth, indicated. Because it is only one floor inside the fort of Burning Castle.

But I don't think it's a good category. If you touch the walls and ceilings, you can see the temperature is getting higher as it was heated in the midsummer sun.

Not so much that I can't touch it... but it's like being in a steam bath without measures.

"Thanks to Tefra, it's not too hot."

and Serafina on the shoulder of Illumhilt is smiling.

"Right. It's going to help."

... thanks to blessings, I don't think I need to use the cooling magic props first. It saves you magic, and it doesn't cut your strength or concentration in the heat. As a result, the search time can also be extended.

The line starts with me and Sheila, the scouts. Illumhilt and Serafina continue for bomb rock discovery just behind.

Grace, Ashley, Mallane, Claudia and Rosemary in order from before.

Lavine follows behind Rosemary. Lavine plays a role in exploring signs such as smells and footsteps from the rear. The lord is served by Ignis, and proceeds in the form of an ecclesial clumped on his shoulder constantly monitoring the rear.

Cadkeus is letting him lurk near the center of the line. Position is about between Mallane and Claudia.

Going down the aisle...... apparently going out into a wide aisle. Small room across the aisle and across the street.... I see a treasure chest in the back of the small room - well.

There doesn't seem to be any enemies as far as I can see from here, but I'll let two aqua golems ahead of me first and crush the timing of waiting for the corner. There are no ambushes from left or right.

With Sheila, step into the aisle. Slight metal sound. Me and Sheila reacted almost simultaneously.

"- Go!

Sheila flies wide forward, turning, releasing adhesive thread in the direction she turned while shielding her back side. I intercepted him on the spot while deploying a shield overhead.

Two living armors with spears jump from overhead. I could see space just above the exit of the aisle to keep myself fit for an ambush.

Take the tip of the spear by shielding it with a diagonal incline and slide it off to the front of you. The other one was entangled in Sheila's adhesive thread and pulled to leave the momentum at bay.

Get out of the way.

The living room armor with the spear stuck on the floor is scrambled from the back. The moment he hit the blow, the spark light played, causing him to shake his back and blow away. A blown living armor hit the pillar with both hands up, making a shitty noise.

... oh. Looks like some of the columns in the clash had bomrocks that were simulating. They reacted to the clash of living armor, and the target emitted light and exploded without being sure. Living room armor parts fall apart and disperse.

Sometimes there was a distance, and this one just had a living armor helmet rolling around. You saved me a lot of trouble.

The living room armor Sheila was dealing with also had Kelli on it when I looked back. Attracted with adhesive yarn, he seemed to have slashed it from the waist into two with a struggling pearl sword.

It can be said that the results of the measures have been well achieved around the time we moved on to a counterattack on the living armor, with shields deployed on the back side to prepare for an unexpected bomb rock blast.

"Are you hurt?

Grace asks.

"No problem. And Sheila?"

"It's okay over here. But living room armor doesn't smell, and it won't make a sound until it moves, so it's a hassle."

"... right. Looks like he's calculating to the point of ignoring the golem. The location of the ambush is invisible from the side of the aisle that came in."

Once again I turn my attention to the space above the aisle exit. It feels like a waiting area where you dug through the wall squarely. I guess they can even ambush in such a small space because they're like living armor......

Attention is drawn to the small room of the chest visible on the front for an ambush from overhead. You're working on it.

Well... what about that chest? Let's get Aqua Golem ahead of us first. Let them step inside the room and see if there is room left, right, and overhead.

"Mm-hmm. Confirm trap"

Just when safety was confirmed, Sheila looked carefully inside the small room... and immediately snapped her neck.

"... the ceiling is dangerous"

That's what I say and point up. I'd look up in the room too... I see. There is a slight gap between the ceiling and the wall.

A guy named Hanging Ceiling Trap? When the trap is activated, the ceiling falls and it's a trick to crush the people inside the room. The deepest part of the room...... I guess this is a trap linked to an iron chest placed on a lookout.

After seeing this trap... the living armors earlier may have had the role of ambushing the intruder from behind and not letting him escape the trap room if he were to head first to the small room.

He said we didn't head straight to the trap room, so he switched to an overhead ambush. I don't think it's bad nature.

Anyway, when the trap is activated, every chest in the back is shaped to crush the entire room. Is the box itself a trap?

"Try to collect it"

There is a little distance...... once the magic circulation is cut and the earth magic magnetic wave is irradiated from the outside of the room to attract momentum from crate to crate. The moment I pulled it from the place I had left it, I heard something actuating. With the roar, a large chunk of stone, known as the ceiling, crushes the entire small room. I was pulling the crate out of the room with magnetic force on the edge of it.

Apparently it was a treasure chest and a trap activated by the weight of its contents. How does it work if you put something else in the box and it doesn't start?

"That's Theodore."

Illumhilt grinned and joyfully joined hands.

Quickly move on to the crate investigation.

"Not the keyhole part... what's in the box? I feel magic."

"Maybe then it's not a magic trap..."

"If it's like a magic trap, I'll transfer it to another compartment. There won't be a problem around the Great Decay Lake."

And Claudia closes her eyes and says quietly.

"Mmm. I'll see if there's any traps."

That's what Sheila says and moves to unlocking.

I was working with the hardware stuck in the keyhole... but I lost it and the sound of the key coming off, and the chest opened its mouth.

"... Wand"

It's a kind of magic wand. Size is only as long as my hips.

The black toned cane is finely decorated in silver and fitted with a large stone that shines blue on the edge. Probably like a demon stone.

"I feel quite a bit of magic... but I wonder if the appraisal should be good when I get home"

"Okay. I'll forward it so there's no danger."

When I leave Wand with Claudia, he forwards me immediately.

That wasn't just heavy on the magic wand. And the bottom of the chest depicts a magic formation in discreet colors.

Suppose - it was made that if you left him magic in the chest, not weight, the trap wouldn't work. It would be like leaving a Magic Slave or something in the box would only allow me to retrieve the contents successfully.

Even with some trick, it's probably an orthodox magic wand. I also have party members use it for performance. Well, so far, I mean on hold.

Wandering through the maze, is it fitting that much has gone by? Cadkeus is doing the mapping for me. Approximate length per aisle. I know exactly where it came from through the entrance because I remember the corners, the location of the room, etc.

It deforms the path you've been going through and displays it in 3D, so it's easy to understand. Thanks to this, I also saw an approximate overall view of the maze.

"... let's keep moving in this direction. From the entrance, it's the furthest place to go."

This maze is bad in nature, so I think there's an exit somewhere far away, even if I know it.

I will proceed with caution as I have always done. You don't have to worry about getting hit by heat, and you don't have to pick up and collect the transboundary stones. We should only allocate consciousness to vigilance for that matter.

As we kicked through the living room armor, heavy armor, bomb locks and hellhounds attacking us based on accidental strikes and pinches - we eventually found a slightly different door of fur than before.

It's the same door as when we came down to the maze. When I opened the door carefully to make sure there were no traps, I saw a spiral staircase leading up.

"I wonder if I can get out into the castle courtyard. Be careful because there are times when bomlocks are simulated on garden stones. Of course, don't get distracted halfway through the spiral stairs."

"Okay."

Beginning with Grace, make sure everyone nodded before going up the spiral stairs.

Well...... quasi-guardian there if you go out in the courtyard. And there must be a stone tablet for your return.

"The quasi-guardian in the courtyard was Larvakimyra."

"Oh. It's supposed to be Kimyra throwing up rocks melted in heat. We have Elephas Soldiers together."

I've read it in the literature, but the real thing is a BFO, but it's fighting.

Should water magic still dominate as a measure? Sometimes a two-legged elephant warrior appears at the same time... but that could be Grace's specialty.

More problematic than that is the terrain. In the courtyard, artificial ponds, waterways, etc. … Lava is what flows there.

This is an aerial warfare subject and is not close to lava, so you can take measures. I'll take care of Ravakimyra.

and - the spiral staircase also showed the end. Open the door and proceed to the courtyard. It was a world of burning more than an underground maze, illuminated with red colors.

Lava flows down the walls of the castle into the waterway at the edge of the courtyard, which becomes an artificial pond or stream that crosses the courtyard.

The sight as I had expected up to this point. But...

"That's..."

The body of Elephas Soldier, whose neck had been snapped, was rolling into the courtyard. I can see traces of bomb locks bursting everywhere.

And - the figure of one knight, sitting back with the corpse of Larvakimyra, who does not move with his torso stuck in a lava pond, and a sword of ridiculous length over its giant.

A knight with silver armor, polished enough to reflect the landscape.

The knight stands up with his sword in his hand when he admits what we look like. And I said.

"- Who do you want the treasure?

"A jewel...?

Who is it? I don't feel like a demon...

When this one sits up and looks at the knight, the knight goes on to say:

"If you don't want the jewel, walk away from it."

"What if I say I want...?

"What I found out. And my Lord said unto him that he should entrust the treasure, or that he should measure his strength. I still can't unseal the door, but if you don't show me your strength, I'll have to move on to the door."

This knight... in short, the same role as the water dragon in the Spirit Hall of Water?

"I am the legacy shadow of Lazaro, the knight of the mirror. I awakened with the liberation of the water, and awaited you here by the life of the Lord."

"Mirror Knight......!

It was Rosemary who reacted to that word.

"Do you know?

"Yep. Verdogal's... Legendary Knight."

When Grace asked, Rosemary frowned and said.

"I thought I said shadow. I am Lazarus, not Lazarus. It's just a remnant built into the labyrinth, just to take over ideals and careers."

"... of a magical creature... I wonder if it's called replication"

Claudia said, Lazaro put his sword in front of his eyes and put it up.

"I don't mind that understanding. I've been polishing my moves for this day to come. Therefore - whether it be the children of my Lord or the Lord of the Labyrinth, I know that it is not possible to pass without showing sufficient strength to entrust them. This is a testament of loyalty to my royal family, and it is the last thing I have ever given and done before my king."

Lazaro's words - would have been directed at Mallane, Rosemary and Claudia.

Does that mean that the Lord who created this shadow of Lazaro - King Verdogal at the time and the seven wise men who cooperated with it?

Is it not the person himself, because the human body and spirit cannot stand the course of vast times?

It's not like Claudia.

"Ok......"

Nod, breathe heavily, then step forward.

"Fight, push through. Is that all right with you?

"Exactly"

Lazaro leaps and descends into the middle of the courtyard.

You should be fighting the quasi-guardians... you're very different from what you planned.

"I fight alone. Everybody stay out of this."

Tell everyone that and get out front.

"Clean, boy."

That voice sounded somewhere happy.

I don't know the face under my helmet...... are you laughing? I don't see any gaps in standing with my sword down and set in nature. Naturally, I found my face distorted with joy, too.
