3. Meet the smuggler

“But, brother, Why can't I see the people who caught these monsters? ”

“Oh? That? There's nothing good about a face, is there? Plus, some of the best fighters in the world. So just grab the monsters, tell us where the bodies are, and we can transport them. ”

“Fighting?”

“Ha... What do you know about being a power? Not all talented people have enough to live in. Besides, how much do you need to catch a monster? ”

He once again explained that he saw the thirsty look in Eugene's eyes that he did not know in detail that it was the price information for the monster.

“I don't know if you know this. Monsters of class E, F, and G are useless. Leather, flesh and bones. It's the lowest level, so companies don't use it. That's how you start buying Class D monsters. ”

It was Ujin who knew that he was already making money from Class D.

“If you catch a Class D monster, it will be around 700,000 won. Luckily, they're worth about two million won. But you hunt with permission from the country, don't you? Then 40 percent tax per person, regardless of rank. Forty-two thousand won left, right? So you're gonna keep this to yourself? No, it's only around 100,000 won if you share it with the people you hunted with. ”

He was amazed at how close he was to half the tax than he thought.

“Well, don't you think you should probably do it by yourself in class D? ”

He looked a little confused by what Woojin said.

“You see what he's saying? Who'd have thought you'd be such a terrific talent? What class D is there in the hunting grounds? If you hunt, you'll get Class C, and Class B. Plus, some of the D ranks are too tough to deal with alone. So, of course we're hunting in pairs. ”

“Ah? I see. So it's a group effort for safety. ”

“Yes, struggling talent has regular undergraduate students, government, guilds, corporations. Well, there aren't many people in the company or guild. ”

Talents are usually assigned three jobs after they graduate from Talent Schools.

Government. Guild. Corporation.

The best of these are the companies that are treated. Since the company is exclusive to monsters and profits from them, it is also required to give talent an annual salary as well as benefits from hunting.

In the case of guilds, there are some people who make a lot of money because of their liberty. However, there are many who hunt when they want to, so there are quite a few who work in the guild.

Governments, on the other hand, are deeply regarded for their prestige and power. Therefore, many people who are capable can hardly live.

All of these three are upsetting for talents, but the worst of them are the government's, and other guilds and corporations are treated differently depending on their abilities.

“So don't even think about hunting alone. ”

“Yes. But not everyone makes a lot of money just because they're capable, right? ”

“Haha? Are you kidding me? I've heard that some of the powerful have died of starvation. You know why? I'm proud of my looks and my pride is so strong that I don't want to do regular labor. Then why should the powers starve? I can't get a job because I don't want to be treated like a rat or a strong one. They deserve to starve to death. ”

“Ah... so there's no support from the government? ”

He sighed for a long time and emitted cigarette smoke.

“Whew! What kind of philanthropist is the government? They only treat those who are worthy. How much more will the country's finances be if we treat those who are not even capable? The government supports those with abilities. Catch monsters and make money. That's what makes it work. I'm starving to death on account of all these incompetents. ”

He once again swallowed a cigarette deeply.

“I don't need them all. Anyway, if you catch a monster, it's just a slime. Hunting can be dangerous at any time. So be careful. ”

“Okay, brother. I'll go first today. See you tomorrow with the slime. ”

“Come on. Good night. ”

That's how he greeted her and headed home.

When I got home, my mom and dad were there. My father was watching TV, and my mother seemed to be preparing for tomorrow's cold season.

“I've been back.”

In his voice, the mother replied first.

“Oh, yeah. Good job.It must be hard for you too. ”

“Yes, Mother. ”

He first entered the room where his father was. A room is only a room shared by parents and their own small room.

“I've been back.”

“Yes. Well done. It must be hard studying, but I'm having a hard time doing part-time work. ”

I didn't like the way my father looked at me. It seemed to me that my teenage son earns money working.

“It's okay. I don't think studying is the right fit...... but it helps to make money working like this. ”

“Don't say that! Who will study to be the right fit? You study to live a better life. ”

My father rebuked Eugene with a slightly exasperated voice.

“Dad, a better life isn't just about studying, is it? If you make more money from better jobs and things, isn't that a better life? ”

“This guy? So now you can get a better job? Right now, you're the best at studying. All you can do is study hard. Whatever happens next, you need to study. ”

Parents always insist that studying is the best for their children. It was no different even for Woojin's parents.

“But, Father, Talents……. ”

“Hey, aren't those people special? How do you compare them to us? ”

“Yes? Why can't we compare? It's the same person.”

“Hey! Don't compare yourself to others from the beginning. The more I think about it, the harder it will be for you. ”

It was for his son's sake, but those words were unthinkable.

Would it be better if I told you right now? I have the ability.... ’

Several times, his mouth flinches, but he gives up.

‘Yes. I'm not sure... I don't know what the future holds, but I can't let you expect anything. If you don't expect it, you won't be disappointed. ’

Woojin nods to his father and goes into his room.

Ujin knows very well why his father has such thoughts. There was plenty of life, but there was probably nothing my father could have done in a family that was getting ruined by not learning.

So it's the parents' feelings that want to fulfill the surrogacy through their children through such learning.

‘Every day…… the more you pass, the better it will be. Father.'

With such determination, Eugene grips his hand.

‘I still don't know much about my abilities, by the way. As you level up, you become stronger and additional options appear every time you level up. While there is a level of importance, depending on how many more of these features you have in the future, my abilities will be significantly different from those of ordinary people. ’

As he knows, there is no way to determine the life force of a monster. There were many people who thought they died when they saw the monsters that had fallen during the hunt, and were easily approached by the monsters who stood up again. However, it will never be the case for Eugene. I thought that if I could make good use of these abilities, I might create better opportunities for myself as well as for other capabilities.

‘Changing the game may not be easy, but it may be possible. If my current abilities continue to progress... ’

I thought so and expected the next day.

“Hmm...... I don't need to catch the Slime right now, so I'll just grab it before I go later and give you some experience." ”

You have to catch a slime early in the morning to go around with it all day. Then it would be better to simply hunt Slime before meeting a smuggler.

That's how Woojin thought and went deeper into the monster colony.

Monsters have a habit of running when the majority is visible. So there were no sanctions on moving around, preferably avoiding the monsters.

I noticed a single visible monster on the move. The one that seemed to be more than two meters long had the name Wolfgang.

“What is it? Is it a Class D monster? ”

He looks a little wolf-like, considerably bigger, and he's terrified. It seems that all the monsters that have hunted so far have been below Class D.

Currently, the most powerful monster he hunted was Class E Elom.

Elom was a monster in the shape of a centipede. It was a monster that had a rather small mouth but pointy mouth and dozens of sharp toes, so it was easy to hunt if you were careful.

Elom was a monster who wanted to avoid having more than 300 EXP even though his HP was over a thousand levels at level 19. The result is a little less than time and effort to hunt.

Only the monster's level report was unknown until now. Even so, you can't memorize the monster's intuition.

There are more than a thousand species of monsters in E, F, and G. If we combine it to Class D, there is a number of subjects that cannot be said.

Compared to the Class E Elom we've captured so far, Class D was trying to avoid the visible Wolf Creek because it might be difficult for him.

‘Cause it looks dangerous. Should we turn around and go? ’

I was about to go back to the side while hiding next to a tree.

Unemployed.

The rotten branch is trampled on his feet, and it spreads like wildfire.

At that sound, Wolfrick turns his head in the direction of the sound and finds Eugene there.

“Grrrrrrr!”

Wolf Creek makes threatening noises.

Woojin stepped back to look at such monsters.

“Well, don't worry. I don't want to fight you... Huff! Damn it!”

Two, two, two!

Approximately 40 meters away, Wolfrick starts running towards him before he finishes speaking. The force to push the ground and its speed were clearly different from the monsters we had watched so far, and the streets had narrowed quickly.

“Ph, Fly Bind!! ”

Wolf Creek approaches at a glance.

Wolfcreek

Description: A giant wolf-like monster that is quite ferocious and has powerful teeth and claws. The thick leather also makes it more defensive.

Level: 26

HP: 3,500

“Huff? What a bloodbath! ”

As soon as I checked the bloodbath, I turned my back and started to flee immediately because I didn't seem to have a chance against Wolfrick, who had a lifespan of 35,000. Also, due to the speed of movement, there was not even a tactic for hunting while running away.

The Wolf Creek now had to hit the Lightning Ball five times without moving to kill it.

“Crazy! Damn it! I just didn't want to come here for some reason!! ”

Despite elongation, complaints erupted. However, the moment Woojin turned and fled, Wolfrick was released from Fly Bind's confinement and rushed to Woojin again.

The streets narrowed quickly.

Shhh!!
