Mira heard drums. The sound of beating drums filled the air in a mystic melody.

Something was about to go down and Mira knew it but she was not sure what exactly it was. While she did her part with helping with information, she was not involved in everything they had planned so she too was just as much as a viewer like everyone else here and there were so many beast people here.

The cheetah clan was crowded with cheetahs and some beast people from neighbouring clan. Mira was stunned to see so many diverse beast people, although there were not so many like when her birthing ceremony was hosted in the lion clan, there was a good number of beast people present, at least ten from each clan and she wondered what the occasion was.

She had no knowledge about a party, so why were people nicely dressed like a party was going on? Mira tilted her head to the side to face her husband.

Confusion darkened in her gaze and her brows furrowed. "Am I in the wrong place? What is going on?" Mira asked him.

Ming Tao pulled Mira closer to his side by a hand on her waist and he left his hand hanging there. He lowered his face to meet with hers and whispered. "It is easier to hide the true reason behind this gathering in a feast rather than trial. If the enemy does not know what we are planning, the enemy will have no time to prepare."

Mira took a moment to process his words. That was smart. Although he could also have just invited everyone they needed over and invited Hye Yang less like Hye Yang did to her when she first met the Ruling Oracle in the cave but this worked too.

"That makes a lot of sense." Mira said to Ming Tao. Now she understood why he had her nicely dressed in an overly expensive fur skin and a matching fur coat like his. She just thought it was to look presentable before the ruling Oracle but little did she know her husband had it all covered.

"Take some time to relax and have fun. Do not let your mind fixate only on your sister. The night is still young." Ming Tao said to Mira.

Mira raised a brow at his words. He was telling her this yet his hand was glued to her waist like he didn’t want her to leave his side. How was she to have fun then? With him?

It was then it dawned on Mira. He wanted her to have fun and relax with him.

"Okay, husband, let us dine." Mira said to Ming Tao with a smile. The last feast they had ended badly and Mira could consider this one a way to make up for that one. If she was with him all night, he would not have any excuse to run away to do something that would get him hypnotised.

Ming Tao looked down at his wife, a smile on his face. "Let us dine." He said to her. With Mira in his hand, he made their way through the countless beast people till they reached the large display of raw meat and wine. Ming Tao would not let either of them over eat or over drink of course, more than anything, they both needed to have sound minds to face the ruling Oracle tonight.

Ming Tao looked at the meat display before him then spared his wife a look. Mira looked utterly disgusted by the sight before her, she did not even bother to hide the look on her face. This made Ming Tao chuckle.

"You surprise me, Mira. You’re a fox yet you do not like raw meat. You eat like a herbivore." Ming Tao leaned in close to her till his face was only a pinky finger apart from hers. "You could almost pass out as the food we are growing on our farm." He teased with a confident flirtatious look.

Mira cocked her head slightly to the side and raised a brow. She let a half smile purse her lips then uttered the words. "Well, I would not complain at all if you feed me then eat me out now, would I?" Mira said. She let her fingers reach for his skin then clung onto his fur coat. She pulled him closer to her with a tug, closing the distance between their faces. She felt the tip of his nose rest on her face. "And by eat out, I hope you know I mean letting your head and tongue rummage down there between my legs." Mira whispered huskily into Ming Tao’s face.

Ming Tao felt goosebumps erupt all over his skin. He felt a tingle between his legs and his cock hardened. This woman had barely even laid her hands on him and he was already hard.

Darn it. This was hard. It was so hard to control himself and there were so many people here. He swallowed. "You tempt me in places you should not, darling." Ming Tao warned, in a breathy voice.

"Oops. I have been bad." Mira said to him, her grin widening. She tilted her head to the side, preparing herself to kiss him when a body hammered against her feet.
