"I think it's better to tank than to attack, Sin."

"... what?

Once I was an attacker in a certain VRMMORPG.

The reason, of course, is' cause that's the most scuffy thing '.

In MMORPG mass combat, players play in "party play" where they play the role of attackers, tanks, and healers to defeat their enemies.

There may be other roles, such as cloud controllers and buffers, but whether these work often depends on game design.

Nevertheless, the three types of attackers, tanks and healers are largely employed in any MMORPG.

Needless to say, the most refreshing of the three basic types is the attacker.

Whatever it is, it's a flashy role to defeat enemies directly.

It's normal for me to be an attacker during the middle school days.

Tanks and healers are also plain compared to attackers.

However, it is essential when it comes to party play.

Nonetheless, those roles have more opportunities to be demeaned than to be praised.

Especially tanks are prone to getting cursed because mistakes are noticeable.

Depending on the game, it's Mazo's part to play.

To be honest, I thought tanks were such a dumb role back then.

I truly thought I'd forgive you for taking on a frustrating role.

Kengo has said that the role of tank is right for me.

I'm talking about when it became normal to act with this guy at some point, but I still wasn't sure what I was thinking.

"What matters when doing tanks is the eye reading the enemy's movements accurately and the spirit of calmly attacking them. I have it in vegetables, so I think maybe if you do the tank, you can get it working."

"What the hell is that? I mean, are you trying to tell me I can't beat Kengo without being an attacker?

"Don't read weird deep. Well, it's true that you beat me ten years early."

At the time, I was challenging Kengo to battle.

And every time I lost, they kept drinking boiled water.

There was a huge difference in strength between me and Kengo.

This difference in strength would also have had to do with the different lengths of time I played the game, but I feel like there was a difference in my talent as an attacker more than that.

Nevertheless, I was a pretty strong category of player too.

So it was well known by other players as a pair of attackers hunting MOBs with furious momentum.

Those two don't need tanks or healers.

We had enough momentum to make it seem that way.

But it wasn't like we really thought an attacker was enough.

I felt that only an understated MOB would work this way of fighting, and I didn't feel comfortable fighting stronger enemies.

So it's not a bad story in and of itself that either me or Kengo will turn to the tank here.

"Don't worry. Until you're in a tank for one, I'll support you."

One idea is to pull the tank from somewhere, but Kengo has dared to advise me to tank.

That would have told me to continue to be at the same party.

One tank and one attacker are worse but more stable than two attackers.

Besides, me and Kengo don't just have the same position, they have the exact same job and skill structure or something.

Having two or more pure attackers at the party won't be an issue.

Nevertheless, even if we party all the time, that's often better if we were as different as possible, working in our favor for all phases.

I guess Kengo thinks right around here.

I don't feel bad when I think this way.

Kengo was a rival and best friend to me back then.

Though online, he was a thoughtful friend enough to say he was the only one.

But I don't like anything I don't like.

"Then Kengo tank it. I'll be the attacker."

Don't bother letting me do the tank.

That's how I rebelled against Kengo.

"That's why Singh is better qualified for the tank role than I am. Can't you imagine what I'm doing in the tank?

"... I can't"

Kengo is the kind of guy who mottles' Kill Before He Kills'.

Even if we do the tank, all we can think of is a diagram that strikes the enemy singles and special.

It wouldn't even be suitable for a position to endure.

Leaving aside my talent as a tank, I can assure you that if Kengo is enough to do the tank, I'm far better off doing it.

"But... tank... hmm..."

"Well, I'm not saying I can't."

I was lost.

At least you have more knowledge and experience of Kengo's games than I do.

Kengo like that tells me the tank suits me.

Then it won't be bad to try tanking here.

"It's good to try other roles. You might notice that tanks have tank fun, just like attackers have attacker fun, right?

"That's what you call an attacker."

"I'm just saying that after trying something else, I've settled into an attacker."

"... Phew. But I get it. In the meantime, if Kengo says so, I'll try."

"Oh, really!

"Oh."

And I decided to give the tank a try.

I started out feeling so light, but after three years I still play tank, so I don't know what life is.

"Do we look for healers after that? I hope he's been hanging out with us for a long time."

"? Can't you be a wild healer?

"No, I thought I'd start up in the guild anyway. That's the kind of guild that can stand at the top of this game."

"Vertex…?"

Kengo before he acted with me was known to be a solo and as an attacker he had the strongest class of player skills.

Well, that's why I've been trying to fight Kengo so many times.

Anyway, it was a man who had never joined any guild before who declared that he would launch an guild from himself here.

I look at Kengo like that with half my expectations and half my worries.

"What are you so upset about not getting involved with? You're the number two guild I make. More crisp."

"Huh? Am I going in, too?

"Of course not, this story's streamlined"

"Really..."

"... what... you don't want to be in my guild?

"No, that's not true. You can come in if you want."

"That's kind of a way of putting it... well, I solicited it, so that's fine... well, thank you, number two"

"Best wishes, Gilmouth"

That's how we set up the guild.

It was a good place to go, but we enjoyed discussing the Alliance's name and activity policy.

This is arguably one of the pleasures of doing MMORPG.

"Okay, so why don't you call the healers we partied with last time"

"Before this... he was definitely a guy with a character name like Margnan, wasn't he?

"Yes, yes. He's often treated like a problematic child because he's not going to recover at all from himself, but he's actually pretty good at player skills."

"Phew... then is it impeccable as a force of war? Then let's ask him out."

"Before that, it's a job change."

"Heck."

After that kind of interaction, I know how rewarding the tank is and I still am.

Over the past three years, I've also done non-tank positions to learn how attackers, healers, etc., but in the end I've worked with tanks as my main activity.

And I became the same as Kengo because I became a tank.

Maybe if I stayed an attacker, they wouldn't have called me the strongest class player, etc. by the bend.

"Sin and I have been dating for over three years."

"Oh, yeah"

I gavel at Kengo standing in front of me as I look back at the past over the fighting field.

"Since you became a tank, you've had fewer chances to fight with bees."

'Cause it's a different role.

It's nonsense that attackers and tanks fight to decide to be stronger.

If I say that, this dueling tournament will also mean nonsense, but this idea would be right.

Both the attacker and the shield assume party play.

I can't give you the advantage or the disadvantage.

But I competed in this tournament.

Because even if it's nonsense to decide who's strong beyond the role, there was something there that I found interesting.

I'll prove myself stronger than Kengo in the duel.

That's what drives me right now.

"I lost before this, but I care a lot about you."

Do you care?

Well, that won't help either.

Oh, my God, I can't believe I beat Kengo. There's only been one fight since I came to Earth.

"If you fight one shot, I'll win one."

"Right."

That one battle, though, is a one-shot battle.

If you're lucky, you win, and if you're bad, it was a battle that you couldn't get enough clear advantages and disadvantages to lose.

You don't think I outdid Kengo in one of those fights.

"But if I lose this time, I can't even make that excuse. So... I'm gonna beat you this time."

"... right"

I hate losing, but Kengo is no better than losing.

I guess it's unbearable for Kengo that the result of the last fight with me is a black star, even if it's won over in total.

"Come on, Kengo. I'm the one who wins this time.

So I provoke.

It's only the privilege allowed to the last winner that I can provoke like this.

"...... that's the sin. Then let's go, Olah!

Kengo pulls out his sword with a fierce grin.

He also opened his mouth as the referee who was watching it panicked.

"Duel Games General Division Main Match Final! Kengo VS Singh! Duel begins!"

And the voice of the referee echoed throughout the venue, and our battle began.
