"He’s in the country."

The most interesting aspect of the protagonist, Wu Liqun, is that he differs from protagonists of similar genres.

Acquires a superpower and starts saving the world—a story format that’s quite common. However, Wu Liqun is not a child or teenager immaturely gaining superpowers, nor a frustrated middle-aged person needing superpowers to change his life.

The beginning of the script keeps emphasizing his ordinary nature, his close and wonderful relationships with colleagues and family. Hence, he’s a protagonist without inner trauma or childhood shadows.

So, whenever he gains unusual benefits not following the norms of life, before and after acquiring foreknowledge, he fears them.
