Chapter 1515 - 770: Aftereffects
The sky was completely dark, with no signs of light.
Not wanting to disturb Xiuxiu’s family, Zhou Yun decided to sleep directly in the room where her character stayed in the drama that night.
Zhou Yun didn’t get out of bed.
She discussed with Wen Bing and decided to simply start shooting right away.
Liu Yun opened the door for the crew, and the group entered and began bustling around to prepare.
Yi Zhe wrapped himself in a military coat and wore a hat with ear flaps, his cheeks red with cold.
Lying in bed, Zhou Yun asked, "Is it really so cold outside today?"
Yi Zhe nodded, directing his team to lay the tracks, he said, "Feels like it might snow."
"No way! Snow this early?"
"Don’t listen to him talking nonsense; it’s naturally colder in the mountains." Wang Zilin had also wrapped herself up tightly. She crouched by the bed, holding a cup of water, dabbed a cotton swab, "I’ll moisten your lips; they’re a bit dry."
Zhou Yun hummed in response.
Luckily, her room was big, otherwise, there wouldn’t have been enough space for everyone.
Amongst the group, Zhou Yun suddenly noticed Yu Zhiyang.
She widened her eyes and asked, "What are you doing here?"
Yu Zhiyang, with his hair still sticking up, replied, "It’s the first day of filming, I thought I’d come to take a look."
Zhou Yun said, "Impressive you could get up."
Yu Zhiyang replied, "It’s not too bad."
Everything on the set was ready.
But the sky still hadn’t brightened.
The initial idea from Wen Bing was to film at dawn, with the morning light just breaking.
The group sat down to wait for daylight.
Zhou Yun yawned twice in a row, feeling sleepy again as she waited.
Slowly, she closed her eyes once more.
Suddenly she jolted awake, realizing she was on set, opened her eyes, and was shocked to see only Wen Bing and Yi Zhe left in the room.
"Where is everyone else?"
"Waiting in another room," Yi Zhe said with a smile.
"Why are you smiling like that?" Zhou Yun frowned upon seeing this.
Yi Zhe said, "Nothing, just filmed someone drooling in their sleep."
Zhou Yun was startled, raised her hand to touch the corner of her mouth, and sure enough, it was a bit wet.
"You filmed me secretly!"
Yi Zhe said, "Can’t blame me; the director told me to capture how you sleep."
Wen Bing: "Might come in handy for the main feature."
Zhou Yun: "..."
In response to Wen Bing and Yi Zhe sneaking a shot of her while she dozed, Zhou Yun expressed her discontent with a snort.
And that was it.
As daylight approached, Wen Bing said, "Okay, let’s get started."
The cameraman pushing the dolly came in.
Yi Zhe and Wen Bing went out, sitting behind the monitor.
"Three, two, one, Action!"
Zhou Yun rubbed under the covers, opened her eyes, still hazy.
She yawned, her eyes still dull.
After being dazed for two seconds, she sat up, the quilt slipping off her.
Suddenly she shivered, her eyes coming alive.
"So cold!"
She muttered to herself, shivering, quickly got out of bed to grab a coat to put on.
"Why is it so cold!"
She muttered to herself again.
This line wasn’t in the script; she added it in the moment.
Because it was really cold.
There was no decorum; her upper body hunched, putting on the coat, both hands tucked in front of her.
Until she was fully dressed, rubbing her hands, she felt less cold.
The feeling was real.
She had truly slept all night and just got out of bed.
The crowing of a rooster sounded from outside.
Zhou Yun pushed open the window.
A clear light shone in.
Zhou Yun’s eyes brightened as well, looking outside, gently patting her cheeks, taking a deep breath.
A scene, five minutes, done.
Wen Bing shouted cut.
The shot was finished.
"Good."
Then they changed angles to shoot another set of scenes.
Outside, a large crane had already been set up.
Opening the window, Zhou Yun looked out.
A large crane slowly approached her from above.
After this long shot was done, another crew carried a camera from different angles to shoot close-ups.
Just for this one action, they shot seven takes from five different angles.
Next, they moved to shoot Zhou Yun washing up.
Wen Bing’s filming followed Zhou Yun’s daily routine and meals.
He wanted a sense of authenticity in the footage.
Instead of the actor switching outfits and states, filming seven or eight different washing scenes in one go, there was only one shot a day.
What Zhou Yun didn’t expect was that her face-washing would also require a close-up.
