Celestial Beast Taming

A creature of ultimate majesty strode with great dignity through the night.

The creature had the body of a musk deer, the tail of a dragon, and was covered in fish scales like black jade.

A long, curved horn protruded from its head, and its jet-black scales shimmered with five-colored star patterns.

The night itself seemed to envelop this magnificent creature, transforming into an aurora of myriad colors.

Beside this majestic, enormous qilin, a seed began to sprout, using the heavens and earth as its trellis and the void as its soil.

Tough, jade-like vines climbed wantonly between heaven and earth.

Triangular, fan-shaped leaves grew from the vines, and pale purple, trumpet-shaped flowers, ringed with solid ice, bloomed proudly in the dark night.

The Deceit Knight and Prince of Deceit, both from the Mass Divine Sect’s White Mist Divine Hall, reacted to the sudden appearance of the Giant Beast and the wondrous, world-spanning flower. Their reactions were completely different from those of Flower Venerable and Tao En.

A look of pleasant surprise appeared on Flower Venerable’s face.

This creature that shone with starlight in the dark and wore an aurora was the Star Emperor’s Order Beast, the Fallen Star Night Qilin.

This flower that constantly breathed out frost was Frost Day’s Order Beast, the Hoarfrost Morning Glory.

The aura released by the Hoarfrost Morning Glory was somewhat weaker than that of the Fallen Star Night Qilin beside it.

At the same time, Flower Venerable commanded their other Guardian Beast, Endless Shore.

They had Endless Shore grow rapidly to protect every corner of the estate, especially the main residence where people were living.

Flower Venerable had to ensure that the battle between the Star Emperor and Frost Day’s Order Beasts and the Deceit Knight and Prince of Deceit wouldn’t endanger anyone in the main residence.

In the pairing of a Deceit Knight and a Prince of Deceit, whether the partner is a Prince of Deceit or a Princess Guǐ, they only serve as support for the Deceit Knight.

The reason Flower Venerable didn’t target the Deceit Knight, but rather the Prince of Deceit’s Deceit Beast, the Punishment Flame Griffin, was because Flower Venerable had witnessed the power of this Punishment Flame Griffin before.

This Punishment Flame Griffin possessed the Flame Burst Rule, a Rule it had acquired from a Guardian Beast Master in the Shuojin Federation who was just one step away from reaching the Peak of Ten Thousand Nations.

Under the influence of the Flame Burst Rule, any and all fire could be made to explode.

Its lethality was less than that of the Deceit Knight, who had fused with the Deceit Beast Eternal Flame Nightmare, but its destructive potential to the environment was far more shocking.

To ensure the safety of everyone in the main residence, Flower Venerable needed to control this Punishment Flame Griffin.
