Chapter 400 - 233: 5-Tailed Jade Fox and Golden Mayfly
Ice Glaze absorbed nearly a full 200 milliliters of the Flowing Soul Soil.
Not counting her tails, Ice Glaze’s body had already shot up to nearly three meters long.
Behind Ice Glaze, where she once had three tails, not only had a fourth one grown, but a fifth tail had now sprouted as well.
And keep in mind, Ice Glaze had only just advanced to the Extraordinary Tier.
Among all fox-type Guardian Beasts that display their Bloodline through their tails, could any truly grow five tails at the Extraordinary Tier?
Ice Glaze was not merely an ordinary Tail Fox Species Guardian Beast, but one with a genuine Jade Fox Bloodline.
By the time the aura around Ice Glaze stopped shifting, her five tails were already covered in fine, dense, shimmering white fur.
Zhong Yi reached out to touch the fur and found it to be exquisitely fine and soft.
But once Ice Glaze infused these tails with the Ice Element, they would transform into terrifyingly deadly weapons.
The fur on these five fox tails was, on average, at least twenty centimeters long.
The five tails varied in length, so Zhong Yi made a point of measuring them.
The longest tail was fourteen meters, and the shortest was still ten meters long.
In other words, the shortest tail was three times her body length, while the longest was nearly five times as long.
Judging from the physical changes to Ice Glaze after her promotion in Tier and Quality, Zhong Yi knew that in future battles, she would not just rely on the Ice Element for ranged attacks.
With such a powerful physique, she was bound to be incredibly formidable in close combat.
Having just suffered so much during her Bloodline Evolution, Ice Glaze wanted nothing more than to pounce into Zhong Yi’s arms.
She wanted to seek comfort from him, just as she always did.
However, at the Extraordinary Tier, Ice Glaze still hadn’t learned how to change her size, so she could only lie down beside Zhong Yi.
She brought her fox head, which was as large as half of Zhong Yi’s torso, up close to his face and gave him a pitiful look.
While comforting Ice Glaze, Zhong Yi used All Things Exploration to check her stats.
[Guardian Beast Name]: Ice Glaze Jade Fox (Five-Tailed)
[Guardian Beast Species]: Fox Family/Jade Fox Species
[Guardian Beast Level]: Extraordinary Level (1/10)
[Guardian Beast Type]: Ice Element
[Guardian Beast Quality]: Gold Quality
Skills:
[Ice Jade Fox Sculpture]: Condenses Ice Element imbued with its own traits into an Ice Sculpture. Injuring a target before the cold energy within the sculpture dissipates allows it to plunder the Elemental Energy from the target to replenish the Ice Element consumed by the sculpture.
[Cold Ice Dance Ripples]: Liquefies solid ice that is below a certain temperature, making it easier for the liquid ice to reach enemies. When this liquid ice coats the tails, it comprehensively reinforces their strength.
Exclusive Traits:
[Extreme Ice Force Field]: Releases its Ice Element into the environment, forming a special force field within a certain range that can expel other Elements. Within this force field, the Ice Element from the surrounding environment will spontaneously gather toward the field’s core.
[Frosty Cold Qi]: Condenses Ice Element to its absolute limit, then sublimates the extremely condensed Ice Element into an icy qi. This icy qi slips into a target’s body and freezes it from the inside out.
[Elemental Ice]: Can use the Ice Element controlled by itself or its created Fox Sculptures to corrupt the elements in the environment, continuously assimilating and ultimately converting them into the Ice Element.
Zhong Yi was incredibly thrilled with the new Skills and Exclusive Traits Ice Glaze obtained upon advancing to the Extraordinary Tier, Gold Quality.
For Guardian Beasts with clearly defined attributes, especially Attribute-type Guardian Beasts that rely on Elemental Energy to fight, combat often comes with limitations.
Zhong Yi had used the Sealed Ice Crystal to enhance Ice Glaze precisely because he hoped she could overcome the limitations of her attribute as she grew stronger.
The Sealed Ice Crystal itself could create an area containing only Ice Attribute energy.
And the Exclusive Trait Ice Glaze obtained when she advanced to Bronze Quality, Extreme Ice Force Field, also worked by releasing her Ice Element into the environment.
It would then expel the other Elements within it.
The force field, formed from Ice Glaze’s own Ice Element, would attract the Ice Element from the surrounding environment toward her.
However, the Exclusive Trait, Extreme Ice Force Field, had distinct limitations in battle.
For Extreme Ice Force Field to be effective, the environment had to contain the Ice Element.
If the environment lacked any Ice Element, then even though Extreme Ice Force Field could help Ice Glaze expel other Elemental Energies, it would be unable to gather any Ice Element for her.
But the Exclusive Trait she gained at Gold Quality, Elemental Ice, allowed her to use the Ice Elemental Energy from herself—and from the Ice Sculptures summoned by her Basic Skill, Ice Jade Fox Sculpture—to corrupt other Elements in the environment.
This time, instead of expelling other elements, it continuously assimilated them, converting the elements in the environment into the Ice Element.
Naturally, using the Exclusive Trait, Elemental Ice, would consume Energy.
However, by injuring or killing enemies in battle, the Ice Sculptures summoned by her Basic Skill, Ice Jade Fox Sculpture, could plunder the Elemental Energy from their targets to replenish their own consumed Ice Element.
Under these circumstances, as long as she could keep the Ice Sculptures created by her Basic Skill, Ice Jade Fox Sculpture, in a constant state of combat, she could use the Exclusive Trait, Elemental Ice, to create a never-ending supply of assimilated Ice Element for her own use.
This allowed Ice Glaze to completely break free from the limitations of an Attribute-type Guardian Beast!
