Chapter 436: Capture The Intruders
Just like the previous incident, many powerful beasts besieged Sun Yuheng’s group the moment they entered the forest.
However, the strength of those beasts was inferior to that of Sun Yuheng and the cultivators following him. The people of the Sun Clan quickly killed all the beasts that besieged them.
Although Sun Yuheng and his group managed to kill many beasts, their numbers did not decrease due to the large number of other beasts arriving from other areas. Furthermore, the newcomer beasts were stronger than the previous ones, which was troublesome for those people.
In the end, Sun Yuheng divided his people into three groups, with him leading one group. Sun Yanzhi led the second group, and Ning Zhiya led the third group.
Sun Yuheng divided their forces evenly, so each group would have no trouble if they encountered powerful beasts. Once the division was complete, they moved in three different directions in the hope that they could find Sun Weitian as quickly as possible; otherwise, they would be too late if he died in Ci Xing’s hands.
Although he had no direct issues with the Sun Clan, Huang Lingxuan had already warned Tang Xiao about the character of the people from that clan. He himself had no intention of concealing his relationship with Situ Lingxi, so he chose to take precautionary measures against those people, so they would not pursue him once their relationship was made public.
Tang Xiao asked the Emerald Scale Python, Cui Jing, to contact Ci Xing and inform her about the people from the Sun Clan. He hoped that the female spider beasts would succeed in reducing the number of members of the Sun Clan, especially those with high enough cultivation.
Whether the people from the Sun Clan would die in the forest or not, Tang Xiao didn’t care at all about their fate. What mattered most to him was the safety of himself and all his wives, who had joined the Nine Profound Sect.

In her cave, Ci Xing was bewildered after hearing Cui Jing’s message; she felt that the Emerald Scale Python was deliberately using her to kill members of the Sun Clan.
However, Ci Xing didn’t care much about Cui Jing’s intentions; she ordered many beasts from her area to besiege the people of the Chu Clan, and she ordered them to kill as many of them as possible.
Ci Xing looked at the dead male cultivators at the edge of the cave, and then she looked at Sun Weitian, who was getting weaker after absorbing his cultivation for several days. "His condition is already bad, and he will die if I absorb his cultivation again."
After mulling it over, Ci Xing decided not to kill Sun Weitian for now, and she would kill him after she got a replacement for him. She left the cave and went towards the location of one of the Sun Clan’s groups, but she avoided Sun Yuheng’s group because the old man’s cultivation was on par with hers.
Although she was confident in fighting Sun Yuheng, Ci Xing chose not to take risks by fighting him, and she preferred to target the weaker ones, especially Sun Yanzhi’s group. As for Ning Zhiya’s group, she didn’t need women, so she chose to ignore them first.
Since the forest was her home ground, and the other beasts also helped her track Sun Yanzhi’s group, Ci Xing was able to find them some time later. She didn’t attack them immediately, preferring to observe them from a distance to monitor their strength.
After confirming their strength, Ci Xing didn’t attack them openly, but instead, she covertly attacked them while the other beasts were attacking her group.
Sun Yanzhi and his group, who were facing the attacks of those beasts, were panicked by Ci Xing’s secret attack. She moved silently, and she didn’t kill them on the spot, but she kidnapped them.
Within a few minutes, their group had dwindled significantly, leaving only Sun Yanzhi and two old men.
Ci Xing didn’t attack them because the two old men had a high cultivation level—exactly one level below hers.
The two old men immediately increased their vigilance, and they moved to both sides of Sun Yanzhi to protect him. After all, he was their current patriarch, and their Sun Clan would be in chaos if he died in the forest.
Ci Xing wanted to capture Sun Yanzi because his cultivation was high enough, and the qi within his body was quite abundant. However, she didn’t want to fight the two old men, which would be detrimental to her. She decided to leave their location, and she went to the location of Ning Zhiya’s group based on the guidance of the other beasts that were attacking them.
Within a few minutes, Ci Xing arrived at the location of Ning Zhiya’s group, but she discovered the presence of two powerful female cultivators among them, whose strength rivaled that of the two men in Sun Yanzhi’s group.
Like her previous move, Ci Xing did not fight openly with them, and she used a sneak attack to capture several cultivators from Ning Zhiya’s group, leaving several of them behind.
After capturing them, Ci Xing took the individuals back to her cave, paying no heed to Sun Yuheng’s group.
Sun Yanzhi and Ning Zhiya tried to contact Sun Yuheng to inform him of the situation of their two groups, but all the trap formations in the forest blocked their communication.
With a few members remaining in their respective groups, Sun Yanzhi and Ning Zhiya led their teams in search of a way out of the forest. However, their fate was truly unfortunate; they fell into several trap formations, some of which were teleportation formations that sent them deeper into the forest.
Sun Yanzhi and Ning Zhiya were separated from the other members of their groups due to the teleportation formations, but they were fortunate to arrive in areas where beasts were scarce, allowing them to breathe a sigh of relief for the time being.

After finding a safe spot, Sun Yanzhi decided to rest for a while, as he was utterly exhausted from the beasts’ attack.
Sun Yanzhi tensed up the moment a powerful beast emerged from underground, and he immediately recognized the beast—it was one of the forest’s overlords. ’Shit! I’m so unlucky! Why did I have to meet this cicada in this place?’
The beast that appeared in front of Sun Yanzi was the Xuanluo Beast, and its body was no less large than the Emerald Scale Python.
The Xuanluo Beast sensed Sun Yanzhi’s presence and turned towards him, but it only looked at him for a moment and jumped away to another area, ignoring him.
After the Xuanluo Beast left, Sun Yanzhi wiped the cold sweat off his forehead and let out a breath of relief. ’Sigh! Fortunately, that beast was not fierce, and it ignored me; otherwise, I would die in its hands.’
Since the Xuanluo Beast came out of its nest, Sun Yanzhi didn’t dare to wander around aimlessly, and he looked for a safe place to hide.

Meanwhile, Ning Zhiya carefully walked into a cave not far from her location after being caught in a teleportation formation. She froze in place when she saw the Emerald Scale Python, Cui Jing, curled up at the end of the cave.
’Crap! Why did I enter this overlord beast’s nest? Ugh! If this snake wakes up, it will definitely hunt me down and eat me.’ Just as Ning Zhiya wanted to turn around to leave, Cui Jing opened her eyes and looked at her, causing her to break out in a cold sweat. ’Oh gosh! Am I going to die in this forest today?’
Cui Jing did not directly attack Ning Zhiya and observed her for some time. The female snake looked at the woman and signaled her to go to her side, but she didn’t dare move from her spot because of her fear.
Seeing Ning Zhiya not moving, Cui Jing slithered towards her and straightened her upper body. The female snake stared at her, tied her tail to her waist, and took her to the end of the cave.
Ning Zhiya gulped hard after Cui Jing released her, her body trembling violently as she imagined the female snake would eat her later. "Ugh! Can you let me go? I came to this forest to save my son, and I accidentally entered your cave."
Cui Jing ignored Ning Zhiya’s pleas; she curled up not far from her and closed her eyes again.
’Damn it! What exactly does this Python want from me? She didn’t let me go, but she ignored me.’ Ning Zhiya grumbled in her heart while glancing towards the mouth of the cave, but she did not dare to move carelessly, afraid that the Emerald Scale Python would instantly kill her. "Hello? Can you let me go?"
However, Cui Jing didn’t respond to Ning Zhiya, leaving her frustrated with the situation.
After thinking it over, Ning Zhiya turned and sneaked towards the exit, but Cui Jing suddenly wrapped her tail around her waist and pulled her back inside.
’Damn it! This python is unwilling to let me go!’ Ning Zhiya shivered when Cui Jing looked at her, but the female snake wrote something in front of her using her tail. "Hmm? Are you really not going to eat me?"
Cui Jing shook her head at Ning Zhiya before closing his eyes again, leaving her helpless.
Ning Zhiya sighed helplessly, realizing that Cui Jing clearly had no intention of letting her go. She decided to sit at the side of the cave, but her gaze remained fixed on the cave entrance. ’If this python continues to hold me here, I won’t be able to find my son, and he might die in this forest.’
