Chapter 434: Some Commotions
The day flew by.
After a journey of over a day, Sun Yanzhi and Ning Zhiya arrived at the forest. They immediately led the members of the Sun Clan into the woods.
Ning Zhiya took out Sun Weitian’s life stone and found it still glowing, which meant her son was still alive.
Sun Yanzhi also saw this, but he couldn’t rest assured until they found Sun Weitian. He was their only son, and Sun Yuheng had nurtured him since childhood to be the main successor of their Sun Clan, so they couldn’t let him die.
"What do you think we should do now, wife? Should we split up to look for Ci Xing’s nest and our son’s whereabouts?"
Ning Zhiya pondered a few things as she looked at their subordinates. "This forest is too vast, and there are many traps within it, husband. Our son is still alive now, but we can’t waste time, and we must find him as soon as possible. If we find him too late, we will lose him forever."
"In that case, I’ll bring some people with me, and you should bring some of them with you too," Ning Zhiya agreed with Sun Yanzhi. "The rest of them should split into two groups so we can find our son faster."
"Let’s do it that way."
They divided their group into four, with Sun Yanzhi and Ning Zhiya leading two groups, and the remaining two groups going to other areas.

The Emerald Scale Python, who was sleeping, suddenly sensed someone or something entering her cave. She was a little surprised when she opened her eyes.
"Did my arrival disturb your sleep, Cui Jing?"
Cui Jing shook her head at Tang Xiao’s clone, who was walking towards her with a smile.
After Cu Jing brought Tang Xiao and his group out of the forest, Xiao Ai had already mapped out their route, allowing him to return to her nest without getting caught in those traps.
Tang Xiao’s clone stopped in front of Cui Jing and stroked her snake head.
"Actually, I didn’t want to bother you, but I needed a little help from you." Cui Jing looked at Tang Xiao’s clone in confusion, but then he explained everything to her. "You are one of the three overlords in this forest, so I need you to do something about them. However, you don’t have to attack them directly, and you can order all the beasts in this forest to attack them."
Cui Jing didn’t need to think about it, and she readily agreed to Tang Xiao’s clone’s request. She hurriedly slithered out of her cave, looked up at the sky, and made noises that only beasts could hear.
Tang Xiao’s clone floated up and sat on Cui Jing’s snake head, listening to the commotion and roar of beasts from all over the forest. He rubbed her head and asked.
"Will Ci Xing and Xuanluo notice your actions?"
Cui Jing wrote on the ground using her tail so Tang Xiao’s clone could read it.
"So, you deliberately alerted the two beasts and hoped that they would attack those people."
Cui Jing nodded a few times.
"Haha," Tang Xiao’s clone patted her head as he laughed. "Borrowing someone else’s hand to kill our enemy! I really like your idea, Cui Jing."
Soon, they heard a woman’s loud scream from another area, and Cui Jing told Tang Xiao’s clone that the owner was the female spider beast, Ci Xing. However, the Xuanluo beast didn’t make a sound and showed no movement, as if he wasn’t interested in the situation.
Tang Xiao’s clone didn’t care much about the Xuanluo beast; it had never appeared when he and the others were lost in that forest before. Meanwhile, the female spider beast, Ci Xing, was the one who kidnapped Sun Weitian, so he was satisfied with her movements.
Since the formation traps in the forest disrupted the system map, Tang Xiao’s clone couldn’t check areas far from his location, including the location of the female spider beast.
"I need to get back to training, so I’ll leave the surveillance of this forest to you. As I said before, you don’t need to make any moves against those people; you only need to monitor the situation from here." Tang Xiao’s clone took out a large amount of roasted meat from his storage ring and placed it all in front of Cui Jing. "I know you prefer raw meat, but you can try my roasted meat. If you like it, I’ll bring you more."
Cui Jing stared at the pile of roasted meat and sniffed the smell; she was tempted by the aroma. After all, cultivation beasts were different from ordinary animals, and they had much higher intelligence.
After eating a piece of grilled meat, Cui Jing’s eyes lit up after she tasted it, and she immediately devoured it all.
"Haha! I knew you would like it." Tang Xiao’s clone took out more roast meat. "I have to go now, and you can finish all this meat."
After Tang Xiao’s clone disappeared, Cui Jing finished all the roasted meat and returned to her cave, and she curled up at the end of the cave as usual.

Sun Yanzhi, Ning Zhiya, and the people from the Sun Clan who had split into four groups were truly shocked that so many beasts were heading towards them.
A confrontation between them was inevitable, yet Sun Yanzhi and Ning Zhiya felt a sense of relief that they hadn’t yet encountered any of the three overlords of the forest.
However, Sun Yanzhi and Ning Zhiya realized they would encounter one of them, or even all three, due to the commotion within the forest.
Unfortunately, Sun Yanzhi and Ning Zhiya had no choice but to continue their search, as they had to rescue their son as quickly as possible; otherwise, Sun Weitian would truly die in that forest.

Meanwhile, a commotion broke out within the Shangguan Clan as soon as a guard reported Huo Mianmian’s disappearance to Shangguan Qingyue.
Ever since he rescued Huo Mianmian from the Shangguan Clan, Tang Xiao had anticipated that members of the clan would discover her disappearance within a few days, and the results were as he predicted.
Shangguan Qingyue went to the simple house, but she couldn’t find any signs that an intruder had entered it. She suddenly remembered Tang Xiao’s abilities, and she briefly thought he had saved Huo Mianmian from her clan, but she quickly dismissed the thought because he didn’t know her.
If she learned the truth that Tang Xiao had released Huo Mianmian from her clan and brought her back to the Huo Clan, Shangguan Qingyue would definitely be furious, and she would probably vomit blood because of it.
Shangguan Qingyue went to see her aunt, Shangguan Qingyin, to discuss Huo Mianmian’s disappearance from their clan.
Shangguan Qingyin was also furious upon hearing the news, as it would bring great trouble to the Shangguan Clan, especially if Huo Mianmian successfully returned to the Huo Clan.
Shangguan Qingyin truly never expected that someone would manage to sneak into the Shangguan Clan without anyone noticing, and that person had also managed to take Huo Mianmian away from her clan.
Shangguan Qingyin asked her niece to contact Dugu Changxu to investigate the matter, but he didn’t dare tell Shangguan Qingyue the truth because his grandfather had threatened to cripple his cultivation.
Since Shangguan Qingyue didn’t manage to get any information from Dugu Changxu, Shangguan Qingyin decided to send some members of the Shangguan Clan to the Taixu Kingdom, and their main goal was the Huo Clan because Huo Mianmian was their young miss.
Shangguan Qingyue wanted to go to the Taixu Kingdom and search for Huo Mianmian herself, but Shangguan Qingyin stopped her and forbade her from going anywhere.
Shangguan Qingyin discussed the matter with her husband, but Song Zhentian had no solution to Huo Mianmian’s disappearance. Nevertheless, he ordered the Song Clan to join the search for her. After all, the Shangguan Clan was his wife’s family, and this matter would also impact his Song Clan.
Song Zhentian also asked some people to keep an eye on the Dugu Clan. He knew the Dugu and Huo Clans had a close relationship, and they would have long been in-laws if not for Shangguan Qingyue’s past actions against Huo Mianmian.

.
Although Song Zhentian and Shangguan Qingyin tried to conceal the matter of Huo Mianmian’s disappearance, Xuanyuan Yueyao still found out about it because she had ordered Rou Lan to keep an eye on that humble house.
Just as she had guessed a few days earlier, Xuanyuan Yueyao was certain that it was Tang Xiao who had rescued Huo Mianmian from the Shangguan Clan. However, she didn’t expect him to rescue her so fast, and he managed to execute his plan without anyone knowing.
Furthermore, Xuanyuan Yueyao knew that Tang Xia had not yet returned to the Nine Profound Sect, so his swift action in rescuing Huo Mianmian from the Shangguan Clan piqued her interest in him.
Xuanyuan Yueyao contacted her uncle, Xuanyuan Lingtian, to inform him of Huo Mianmian’s disappearance. However, she was surprised when he informed her that she was already at the Huo Clan, and the people from the Dugu Clan had requested a time to meet with him.
Xuanyuan Yueyao stood behind the window, smiling to herself as she gazed into the distance, yet no one knew what she was thinking.

Huangfu Lingxuan was naturally aware of the panic within the Shangguan Clan, and he also received information regarding Song Zhentian and Shangguan Qingyin’s decision to send people to the Taixu Kingdom.
Huang Lingxuan informed Tang Xiao of the matter, but he asked the old man not to worry about it, as he had already made several plans to keep Huo Mianmian safe.
