Chapter 2546 - 2554: He Truly Spoils You
One and a half hours later the car arrived at the film and TV town. Jane Sampson’s guest appearance was currently a confidential piece of news, but this was exactly the place where there was never a shortage of reporters staking out, so when Jane got out of the car she wrapped herself up tightly from head to toe.
The room the hotel arranged for Jane wasn’t bad either. As soon as she got to the hotel Jane’s first move was to send James Black a WhatsAPP, telling him she had already arrived at the hotel.
It was just that James was probably busy, so he didn’t immediately reply to Jane’s messages.
Jane wasn’t planning on going out anyway. She directly took out her mobile phone and shouted in the group, "Are you guys free? Come out and open a game~"
In the end, the group was dead silent as always. Not a single person replied to Jane.
"Did they all secretly go on dates and ditch me?" Jane muttered to Coco Edwards in frustration. "When you’re dating your boyfriend, do you still play games?"
"Nope." Coco was helping Jane hang her clothes into the wardrobe as she answered, "When we’re together, unless it’s to take a phone call, we don’t touch our mobile phones."
Coco said, "He’s starting a business now, his work is busy, and I’m often not in Capital Province either. The time we can be together is especially short, so whenever we finally get to be together, we won’t waste that time on our phones."
After she finished, Coco asked Jane in return, "When you and Mr. Black are together, you don’t play on your mobile either, right?"
They were all pitiful lovers who saw each other rarely; when they did get to be together, they’d naturally fight to stick to each other as much as possible.
Jane’s eyes swiveled. It seemed that even when she and James were together, she often got hopelessly addicted to games.
Thinking about it like that, comparing James with Coco’s boyfriend, James did seem a bit miserable.
When she was reading a script, she ignored James.
When she was playing mobile games, she also ignored James.
Jane silently thought to herself that next time she went home and saw James, she definitely had to be a bit nicer to him. He was too miserable.
The moment Coco saw that guilty expression on Jane’s face she knew this internet addict girl, when faced with love, still resolutely chose to continue being a seasoned internet addict girl.
"You’re always playing games in front of Mr. Black, doesn’t Mr. Black protest?" Coco was honestly impressed with Jane. "Mr. Black really does spoil you."
"He only protests once in a while. His way of protesting is to just snatch my mobile phone and hide it." James had done that before: after hiding it, he would wait for Jane to admit she was wrong and keep coaxing him, and only when he was coaxed into a good mood would she be able to get her mobile back.
But just like Coco said, James spoiled her most of the time, so he hadn’t done that many times.
Jane was bored out of her mind. In this crew she was only a guest appearance, her script wasn’t heavy, and the script she’d brought back yesterday afternoon—she had a good memory, so it had only taken her one night to memorize it.
Seeing Coco busy, Jane chatted with her for a bit, then simply took out the script again to study it some more.
Around the film and TV town, any hotel that was even slightly decent had plenty of reporters staking it out. At noon Jane didn’t go downstairs for lunch; instead she had the hotel send lunch directly up to the room.
It was only at this time that James finally replied to Jane’s messages. As soon as Jane heard the notification sound she was about to tap open WhatsAPP to see what James had replied, and right then, a WHATSAPP video call from Nina Rice came through.
