After chatting, Brooke Black didn’t forget to tease Jane Sampson before hanging up the phone.

James Black was busy in the kitchen for an hour, preparing the ingredients for the evening dinner.

Jane Sampson rested for a while before entering the kitchen to showcase her skills.

Seven o’clock.

A table of dishes, full of color and fragrance, was set on the dinner table one by one.

Jane Sampson also specially opened a bottle of red wine.

"We have to celebrate this anniversary with a special sense of ceremony." Jane handed the wine to James to open while she ran to get wine glasses and ice.

"You can’t handle much wine, just drink a little, so you won’t have a headache in the morning." Before opening the wine, James reminded Jane.

Jane’s drinking capacity was barely better than getting tipsy from one glass.

"I know, I know~ You’re such a nag." Jane pouted, "In our own home, even if I drink a bit much, it’s fine, just sleep until the sun rises~"

"That’s how it is for others; it might not be the same for you." James poured wine for the both of them.

If James remembered correctly, this bottle of wine was given by Alexander Forest when he and Jane got married.

After that, he put it in the wine cabinet at home. He didn’t often come home, nor did he enjoy drinking, and Jane even less, so this bottle was only opened now.

Alexander Forest had good taste, and anything he would give as a wedding present wouldn’t be bad.

Though not from a world-renowned brand, the taste was exquisite.

Even someone like Jane, who didn’t understand wine, found the aroma intoxicating.

"Come, a toast! Just a sip, and then I have another gift to give you!"

Jane raised her wine glass toward James, "Celebrate that you married such a cute, beautiful, smart, and diligent Mrs. Black. Let’s clink glasses."

One sentence, and James couldn’t help but chuckle.

In front of her, she praised herself without a hint of modesty.

"Let’s also celebrate your honor in becoming Mrs. Black." James replied to Jane, gently clinking his glass with hers, producing a crisp sound, before taking a sip from his glass.

Smooth and lingering.

Indeed, fine wine.

Charming, just like her.

After taking a sip, James placed his glass back on the table. He then became interested in the gift Jane mentioned.

"Another gift?" James asked.

He thought the song she sang for him was her gift.

"Just you wait!" Jane nodded, got up, and headed to the bedroom.

A while later, she came jumping out with something cupped in her hands.

"Close your eyes and extend your hand." Jane said.

James smiled and extended his left hand.

Jane noticed the watch she gave him last time on his wrist, "Switch hands, the other one!"

Following her request, James extended his right hand to Jane.

Only then did Jane reveal the tightly held item and gently put it on James’s right hand.

It was a watch she designed herself.

The watch’s design and material selection process were all personally overseen by her.

"Alright, you can open your eyes now." Jane sat next to James, resting her chin on her hands, observing his every expression carefully.

She watched as James slowly opened his eyes, his gaze immediately falling on the wrist of his right hand.

The black leather strap, black and silver interlaced dial, with the second hand moving rhythmically.

"You..." James recognized the watch.

The dial was simple, with only numbers and hands.
