As he spoke, he solemnly placed the potato chips in James Black’s hand, "I specially brought the largest bag. For Jane to eat, and for the baby in her belly. Jane is eating for two now."

"Supplement with what? Potato chips?" James Black’s mouth twitched.

"This is just a little something from me, I’m sure Jane won’t mind." The young comrade had a serious expression, "Chief, it may be a small gift, but it’s a meaningful one."

"She doesn’t mind." She could jump for joy.

However, James Black thought, he minded, he minded a lot.

Of course, the young comrade also noticed Lord Chief’s disdain, so he added, "Then Chief, please grant me a half-day off tomorrow, I’ll go to the supermarket and buy some other things for Jane to nourish her body."

"Grant you a half-day off to go to the supermarket and buy more bags of potato chips to ’nourish’ your sister-in-law?" James Black laughed coldly, "Don’t even think about getting any leave this month."

With that, James Black glanced around the crowd, "Who else is here to give her potato chips to ’nourish’ her body?"

"Chief, we just brought potato chips for everyone to see, and see what other flavors there are. Then when there’s a chance, we can swap and eat together." Those with a strong survival instinct quickly withdrew, "Chief, please congratulate Jane for us. We’ll leave first, and send some delicious food to her another day."

The potato chip party retreated, reducing the number of people by a third.

A young colleague said, lifting a packet of jelly in his arms towards James Black, "Chief, I brought jelly. See, it’s even got real fruit chunks, and it’s Jane’s favorite orange flavor. I’m considerate. I’m not giving it to her to nourish her body, but to satisfy her cravings."

"Ha." James Black thought, perhaps he hadn’t disciplined anyone much recently, so these young rabbit kids thought he was easy-going.

Their courage is as heavy as a ton.

"Jelly has a lot of preservatives, it’s not good to eat too much." A few others raised the fresh fruits in their hands, "Fresh fruits are the best, Chief. That’s why we’re reliable, this is to nourish Jane’s body."

Several young comrades with fruits wore proud expressions. When it comes to nourishing the body, they truly felt entitled to say so, they were quite proud because they were the most reliable.

Meanwhile, another young man with a sausage quietly put it away.

But now, he looked around and realized it’s better to hide it. If he took it out now, he might not have any leave for a year. Thinking of this, the young man suddenly found those colleagues with fruits seemed so cunning.

Perhaps, they just took a leave two days ago, which is why they had these fresh fruits.

Who knows, maybe some even took them from the dining hall to offer as gifts?
