Her initial plan for the conversation wasn’t like this.

James Black always played by his own rules, it made her a bit nervous.

"Guess." Jane Sampson pushed away James Black’s hand and urged him.

"Not guessing." James Black refused without hesitation and then started the car, driving out of the underground parking lot.

Jane Sampson sat there bewildered.

Heh heh.

What a cold-hearted refusal to guess.

"James Black, I’ll give you one more chance, if you don’t guess, you will definitely regret it! I guarantee you’ll regret it." After Jane Sampson finished, she put on a face like she’d be mad if he didn’t guess and snorted at James Black.

"Not guessing." James Black couldn’t figure it out at all. Anyway, he figured Jane Sampson was probably just finding ways to annoy him again.

To prevent himself from getting too frustrated, it was better not to guess for self-preservation.

"You! Definitely! Will! Regret it!" Jane Sampson was furious, she turned her head away.

She wasn’t going to talk to James Black!

"James Black! You big turtle!" Jane Sampson was so angry, yet the words she wanted to say wouldn’t come out.

Suppressing what she wanted to say, she found it hard to simply say it. Seeing James Black with such a calm expression made her even more frustrated.

Couldn’t James Black let her be a little proud?

If you don’t guess, then don’t!

Hmph!

The big turtle, James Black, saw Jane Sampson sulking for a while then glancing at him, then looked as if she was angrily turning her head away not to see him, he found her tantrum pretty amusing.

"I’ll play you a song." James Black asked, "Want to listen?"

"Not listening." Jane Sampson pouted, "I’m not talking to you. You’re too annoying."

"Then I’ll listen." James Black said, then turned on the music inside the car.

A song started playing, "Fall in Love with Someone Who Doesn’t Go Home."

When it reached the chorus, James Black even turned up the volume.

Still expecting your appearance with no regrets, the sky is dusk, falling in love with someone who doesn’t go home, waiting for a door that won’t open, an ever-changing gaze, tightly closed lips, why continue to painfully insist, painfully inquire...

Jane Sampson: ...

Jane Sampson felt as if she read a complaint from James Black to her from his action of turning up the volume.

Wait.

How come from James Black’s perspective, she seemed like some scummy woman playing with his feelings?

Jane Sampson angrily turned off the music, glaring at James Black.

"Are you implying something about me?" Jane Sampson put her hands on her waist.

"Got it?" James Black raised an eyebrow, the music off, he even softly hummed, "Falling in love with someone who doesn’t go home..."

Jane Sampson gritted her teeth, so mad!

"James Black, you big jerk!" Jane Sampson quietly cursed James Black.

Unfortunately, her act of being really angry couldn’t last two seconds, quickly broken by James Black repeatedly singing that one lyric.

James Black didn’t have a good singing voice, he repeated that lyric, towards the end it was more like speaking it.

"Will there be a next time?" James Black saw Jane Sampson had been secretly shaking with laughter sitting there before he spoke up to ask her again.

"James Black, you childish moron." Jane Sampson burst into laughter, and with that laugh, her eyes lit up.

Her threshold for humor was too low, can’t blame her. She really tried hard to stay mad and keep ignoring him, but with James Black’s voice repeating in her ear, Jane Sampson just couldn’t hold it in.

"I’ll take you out for hotpot tomorrow." James Black was confident that now one sentence from him could cheer Jane Sampson up.

Jane Sampson glanced at James Black with a high-and-cold gaze, but didn’t say anything.
