James Black finally began to rethink all his conversations with Jane Sampson from the moment she got off the airplane today up until now.

The focus was on guessing her words.

She even encouraged him to be bold with his guess.

After he guessed, she wasn’t mad and even let him touch her.

When James Black thought of this, his heart suddenly sank.

"Jane Sampson, could it be that you’re actually pregnant?" Considering this possibility, James Black’s heart almost leaped out of his chest.

"Silly goose, silly goose! Silly! You’re such a dunce!" Jane Sampson finally showed her enchanting smile, "You’ve finally guessed it! James, we’re having a baby!"

Jane Sampson pushed away James Black’s hand, rubbed her belly herself, thought for a moment, then took off her coat, lifted her clothes, and directly touched her belly, "The baby is in here, you’re a silly daddy! You’ve only just figured it out. How could you not get my hints? Are you not smart, James?"

James Black was truly dumbfounded.

He still felt that Jane Sampson might be teasing him because she was angry.

But deep down, he vaguely sensed that maybe it wasn’t that, maybe it was real.

"Is there really a baby?" James Black asked, his voice unconsciously trembling, "Jane, please say it clearly, seriously, not angrily. Is there really a child?"

It was the first time Jane Sampson saw James Black being so silly.

She sat there, seeing him looking so pitifully dumb, and couldn’t bear to tease him by saying it was a prank.

"There’s a baby." Jane Sampson nodded seriously towards James, "There really is a baby, aren’t you happy? Why aren’t you smiling? When I found out, I smiled for a long, long time. I was still smiling secretly on the airplane."

James Black finally snapped out of his shock, belatedly nodded.

"I’m happy." James quickly reached towards Jane Sampson’s belly, but then thought his hand might be a bit cold, quickly breathed warm air on his palms, rubbed them until they felt warm, then took Jane Sampson’s hand off and placed his own hand on instead.

"Baby, this is your big turtle daddy." Jane Sampson said with a cheerful smile, looking down at her belly, "Your daddy is really a goof."

"I’m just really surprised," James defended, "Don’t tell the baby I’m dumb."

This got him seriously determined.

James couldn’t feel anything different underneath his palm, but in his heart, he seemed to sense the presence of the child in his palm.

He knew it was just his imagination.

But he couldn’t help himself.

"Jane." James gently lowered Jane Sampson’s clothes, "Dress back up, don’t catch a cold."

"I’m really happy." James pulled Jane Sampson into his arms tightly, "Jane, I’m really happy we’re having a child."

Suddenly, there was a child.

The child came so quickly, and so unexpectedly.

Yet it truly made him feel so joyous.

In this moment, James was sure that holding Jane Sampson, and also holding their child, was like embracing the greatest happiness in the world.

James held Jane Sampson, reluctant to let go, repeatedly telling her how happy he was.

His heart was filled with a thrill and surprise he wanted to share with her, but when it came to speaking, he didn’t know what to say or how to express it.

"Jane, thank you." James gently kissed her hair, "And thank you to our baby."
