Chapter 2693 - 2711: Unchanged
He gazed at Jane Sampson, her expression momentarily frozen, then slowly unable to hide the smile at the corner of her eyes and brows. Her eyes turned into crescent moons as she giggled, reached out, and took the candy from his hand.
Jane Sampson immediately unwrapped it and popped it into her mouth. Her sly eyes glanced at his coat pocket; her little thoughts written right on her face.
In a few seconds, her mischievous little paws reached towards James Black’s coat pocket, patting and probing before reaching in to search.
Right and left, the same action.
But came up empty-handed.
Jane Sampson made a dismissive sound and pursed her lips, "Just one~"
"I sat here keeping you company for dinner, just one reward?" Jane Sampson threw James Black a ’you’re so stingy’ look, then patted her seat and went straight out.
Aunt watched the entire show from nearby. Once Jane Sampson joyfully left, she couldn’t hold back and chuckled, saying to James Black, "You always love teasing your wife."
This package of Big White Rabbit Candy was something James Black had Aunt buy from the supermarket while buying groceries.
The entire bag of candy, except for the one in James Black’s pocket, was hidden in the room of James Black and Jane Sampson, but Jane just hadn’t found it yet.
James Black was wicked too, buying it and leaving it in the room, but not mentioning it, wanting Jane Sampson to find it herself one day as a surprise.
Not afraid of it expiring.
James Black slightly raised the corner of his lips; teasing his wife was amusing, watching her change facial expressions, one moment obsequious, the next moment disinterested, made James Black happy.
After James Black finished eating and returned to Jane Sampson’s side, Jane was discussing with Old Master Black about whether to bring the Great General’s family together that day.
"Bring them along," James Black joined the conversation, "Just don’t take them into the home stay guest rooms, let them stay in Bright Sampton’s room at night, let Bright Sampson help keep an eye on them."
"Great idea." Jane Sampson petted the Great General lying on her foot and laughed, "Bright Sampton will surely be touched knowing I’ve found a whole family to accompany him."
Jane Sampson told Bright Sampton about this, but Bright was probably too busy at the moment and didn’t check his mobile phone, so he hadn’t messaged Jane Sampson yet.
"You watch some TV downstairs; I’m going upstairs to make a call." James Black rubbed Jane Sampson’s head instructively, "Don’t watch too long. Come back to the room after 9:30 p.m."
After James Black went upstairs, Old Master Black whispered a comment to Jane Sampson, "That guy really keeps a tight rein; why did I find such a husband for you?"
James Black went upstairs to make a call to the friend from the morning, inquiring about today’s daytime matters.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Jane Sampson didn’t manage to watch TV, as her mobile phone suddenly rang with a call from Amber Edwards.
"Jane, did you see Twitter? Lancaster’s wood business is so shameless! They’re really too shameless!" Amber Edwards yelled angrily on the phone, "Lancaster’s wood business is so shameless! Worse than when I wanted to mess with you!"
"What’s going on with Twitter?" Jane Sampson hadn’t checked Twitter all day.
"Half an hour ago, Lancaster’s wood business officially posted on Twitter announcing the spokesperson’s matter and disclosed the cooperation with the spokesperson, releasing the quality inspection plan we discussed as their own. They did an event between me and Lancaster’s; the event content is exactly what I told them, unchanged!"
