"I’ve made an appointment for you to go to the hospital for a prenatal check-up tomorrow morning. The driver will pick you up at the base entrance tomorrow morning. If James can’t make time, I’ll push off tomorrow’s work to accompany you."

Brooke Black looked at Jane Sampson, her face full of affection, "Our little Jane is about to become a mom in the blink of an eye, so fast."

"She’s still a little lass herself and is about to become a mom. Just thinking about it feels unbelievable," Bright Sampton muttered as he stood there. A year ago, Jane was still so mischievous that she left him speechless.

Bright Sampton still hadn’t quite processed the news that his sister was going to be a mom.

"Originally, there was no rush, but since the child is coming, it’s fate," Old Master Black chuckled, "The child surely is eager to meet me, their great-grandfather."

"It’s good to have the baby early; recovery is faster. While you’re still young, Grandpa, you can help teach the child, how wonderful," Jane Sampson clung to Old Master Black’s arm, acting coyly, "Grandpa, will you love me more, or my baby more later?"

"Love them equally, love them both, both treasures of our Black family." Old Master Black patted Jane’s arm, "Or, shall Grandpa love you more, and you love your child more?"

Old Master Black, who used to be straightforward in speech and action when young, was now quite adept at coaxing children.

"It would be best if it’s a daughter; otherwise, if you’re not afraid of raising another James, feel free to let Old Sir take care of the child," Brooke jestingly remarked to Old Master Black, "Dad, look at how much you dislike James now, yet back then, you were just like him."

Old Master Black glared at his daughter, said nothing, though feeling unconvinced at heart. Peter Gingery also grew up with him; why didn’t Peter’s personality turn crooked?

"Regarding what I asked you earlier, mention it to James so I can arrange things in advance," Brooke stopped teasing her father alone and turned to talk business with Jane Sampson, "Prenatal check-up is very important. If James is unavailable, Auntie will accompany you. Women need to be well taken care of during pregnancy, not like usual."

Especially for the prenatal check-up, Brooke feels that women should definitely have their husbands or relatives accompany them; going alone can greatly affect their mood.

Especially seeing pairs everywhere in the Maternity Department, a pregnant woman’s emotions can really be affected.

Brooke herself speaks from experience, which is why she’s very attentive to Jane’s pregnancy.

She cares for Jane Sampson as if she were her own daughter.

"James has already made arrangements. We were originally planning to go to the hospital for a check-up tomorrow, so Auntie doesn’t need to make special time to accompany me," Jane felt deeply grateful, "Auntie, thank you."

"No need to say thank you; we’re family. You grew up under Auntie’s watch, just like Auntie’s own daughter," Brooke ruffled Jane’s head with a smile, "At least James knows how to look after you."

"He didn’t understand at first; then he spent ages searching for information on his mobile phone and even asked me to look over it with him," Jane quickly revealed James’ studious side, "He is so serious about it, practically gluing his eyes to the mobile phone; sometimes he doesn’t hear when called."

"That’s really focused," Bright Sampton teased Jane, "Before, when you read books or did homework, you were just the same, couldn’t hear when called."

Jane Sampson tugged Old Master Black and Brooke to sit down, then called Bright Sampton to help pour tea while she herself busied washing fruits.
