Chapter 2598 - 2606: Is There Still Time
"James, you can’t say I’m getting fat again in the future. I’m eating a lot, I’m gaining weight because I’m nourishing the baby." Jane Sampson seriously reminded James Black, "I’m someone who has to support a family now, understand?"
What a god-like explanation.
James Black didn’t argue with Jane Sampson and agreed.
Right now, his wife is the most important.
"And, my gift!" Jane Sampson suddenly remembered, "You said you’d give me a gift as soon as I got back!"
After speaking, Jane Sampson stood up and went to find the electronic scale. She stepped directly on it, looked down, put her hands on her hips with pride, "Six catties! James, I’ve gained a total of six catties! I want six gifts!"
Speaking of which, Jane Sampson was quite regrettable.
"Oh, I forgot to discuss with you how many gifts I get if I’m pregnant with the baby!" Jane turned her head to look at James Black, "Is it too late to talk about it now?"
"There’s still time." James Black walked over to Jane Sampson, hugged her from behind, then rested his chin on her shoulder, holding her affectionately, "But it seems hard to find a return gift that can compare to what you’ve given me. Jane, even if I could bring the moon down for you, it wouldn’t match the merit and effort of you carrying our baby."
James Black’s sudden sweet words made Jane Sampson feel as if she was floating on air.
"Jane, what is it you want the most? As long as you say it, I’ll make it happen for you." James asked.
Jane Sampson thought for two minutes but couldn’t come up with an answer.
What she wanted had already been placed in her hands by him a long time ago.
Now, she had loving parents, warmth from the Black Family, James Black, and a child.
Her life is already so complete, what else could she want?
Jane Sampson really couldn’t think of anything.
"No rush, think slowly. Whenever you come up with something, just let me know. My promise is valid for a lifetime, until I die." James responded seriously.
He wanted to give her the best, but now it seemed he didn’t know what else he could give.
"Can I ask for many, many things, or just one?" Jane Sampson sneakily thought, hoping it could be many, many things.
James Black chuckled but didn’t answer directly, "What do you think?"
"Oh~" Jane Sampson pouted, then patted James Black’s hand, "I want to get off the electronic scale, let go of me, if I stay on any longer, the scale will break."
After sitting back on the sofa, James Black went to pour a cup of warm boiled water for Jane Sampson. Jane Sampson didn’t drink it, just held it in her hand.
"Can I share this on Twitter with everyone?" Jane Sampson asked James Black, "I saw a lot of people saying it’s best not to announce a child before three months, is that right?"
"Don’t say it yet." James Black said, "Once you do, all the media reporters will quickly focus their attention on you. Once you go out, it’s very likely that you’ll be chased by paparazzi. Some reporters will chase cars with no bottom line, which can be dangerous."
"Recently, you’ve faded out of everyone’s sight, and reporters have focused their attention on other artists, so don’t announce it temporarily." James wasn’t superstitious about those sayings from the elderly, but was thinking about Jane Sampson’s safety.
"From now on, when you go out, you must take a bodyguard, no matter where you go, understand?" James Black couldn’t resist and reached out to touch Jane Sampson’s belly again.
Jane Sampson suppressed the urge to make the announcement on Twitter and felt that James Black’s consideration made sense.
