I wasn’t ready to start guessing who it was, because I already somewhat knew. It was obvious, wasn’t it? Not like he ever tried to hide it.
But now wasn’t the time to get into an existential crisis, so...

No. You need to understand. This wasn’t mana or any normal type of energy. It was Chaos Energy, a hundred times the quality and quantity of any other form of energy.
And this remnant soul just gave me enough raw mana or soul energy, or whatever it was on, to provide this much CE?
"Damn..." Maybe I had underestimated this guy a bit too much due to the overwhelming ease with which he was dealt with.

"Could I already do it and hadn’t even bothered trying?"
It was possible. I knew I was using this talent in a horrible manner. Look what that pathetic vampire had done with a less-than-substandard version of a devouring skill, and yet I still don’t even know how to use mine properly.
"Hoo... alright. Another thing added to the list of things to try out." I made a mental note of it.
If it hadn’t been for Devour throwing a hissy fit, I wouldn’t have even known that I could Devour my own bloodlines. And if I could do so, did that mean I can combine them actively through devouring? Or was that something still far off?
"Well, no use thinking about it now. Let’s just get this over with."
I shoved the thought aside for now, willing the next notification active.
What? Devour had snacked on the offensive Mythic-grade bloodline; I could only move on with it.
