Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 387 - 385:“Heaven’s Fall.”

"If I want something to happen, O Celestial, it will." My grin slowly turned feral. "Now, why don’t we get started?"

The Celestial merely leveled an expressionless stare at me when he heard my words.

Before I could say anything, he spoke...

"You know? I find it quite curious." His voice was one of genuine curiosity.

"Please. Enlighten me, what makes you curious?" I asked.

There was no rush. If the man wanted to talk before getting his ass whooped, I didn’t mind.

"You truly do not seem to recognize me. Is your memory that useless, or did I overestimate you?" he asked.

I couldn’t help but smile at his question.

"You’re wrong, Celestial. I do recognize you."

"Hmmm?"

"You’re the pathetic being that tried to prevent my acquisition of these wings back at the Land of the Damned. I recognize your aura. But most importantly, I recognize your impotence. For once again, you have failed to save your child." My grin turned menacing. "So no, I do recognize you, I just don’t give too much care to failures."

The silence that fell after my words was packed.

The man didn’t move. His expression hadn’t even shifted. But I could feel it.

He was angry...

"Mortal..." He opened his mouth. "If your intention is to anger me, I assure you, the outcome will not be to your liking."

"O Celestial, I have no need to anger you. I am merely speaking words of truth."

"You sacrificed your own child just to accommodate your descent."

"How egotistical must one be to believe his child’s life insignificant enough to sacrifice so casually?" The atmosphere deepened, but I didn’t care.

"I believe myself to be quite the self-centered and conceited bastard, but even I would cherish my child like the world, and yet..." My eyes fell on the man. The atmosphere around him had begun twisting and cracking.

My smile widened as I could taste his rage...

"You. You not only don’t care, but act like it was all he was ever worth. All your child was ever worth was a sacrificial pawn. Oh, what a sorry race of beings you are, oh Celes..." I wasn’t allowed to finish my words as a golden blade appeared right before my eyes.

A split instant before the attack could land, I shifted and then...

BOOM!!

The ground caved in as the attack hit the earth.

I raised my head and my eyes clashed with those of the Celestial.

"Mortal... you will not besmirch my name," he growled.

"Sorry. But you’ve already done that by yourself. I’m just making an obvious observation."

"It would seem talking with you has been a waste of my time."

"You could’ve just started by swinging, but you wanted to posture. Now that you’re mad, you want to shift the blame. Like father, like sons. All... useless."

BOOOOOMMMMM!!!!! A golden aura erupted into the air. The skies of the abyss above us split as I could feel the essence of entropy in the air... retreating?

"Hmm?" I raised a curious brow as the aura washed over me, saturating the entire environment.

"Mortal... do you know why my people are so far exalted above rabble like you?" The man’s voice echoed through the region as his wings clapped softly, taking him into the air.

"It is because, in an age where everyone has chosen to side with disorder and violence, we, the Celestials, have taken it upon ourselves, under the guidance of the goddess, to restore order to the universe."

I remained silent, my excitement stirring as I felt his rising aura.

"I... am Kaelel LightTorched. Subordinate of her Ladyship, Uriel the Chaste, Virtue of Chastity. And on behalf of the Goddess Ataraxia, I have deemed you a spawn born of conflict."

RUUUUUMBLE!!!!

The entire region began trembling as his aura peaked.

"Your judgment..."

His eyes finally snapped toward me as I felt the weight on my shoulders multiply exponentially...

"...is DEATH."

"Heaven’s Judgment: Light of Purification!"

The moment his words left his lips, my eyes shot to the skies, waiting for the usual sky filled with golden swords, but what I got instead...

CLANG! CLANG!! CLANG!!

Were massive golden chains that clamped onto my limbs.

"Hmmm?" I pulled. Not hard. But enough.

Rattle...

The chains held firm. And then, I felt it.

Something trying to siphon my strength. Weaken me.

"You have built yourself on conflict and destruction, thus resulting in the deaths of my two children. And now, I have come to pass forth judgment."

He raised his arm. "Resistance is futile. Once the chains of judgment have taken hold, you can only accept your fate." And then the skies opened up.

A massive golden circular diagram covered the whole heavens, its light illuminating the world as I felt the essence of the laws align themselves.

For the first time since I came into the abyss, the laws within the region began acting like they should, and that was unnatural...

RIIIIPPPPP!!!!

The abyss, birthed from pandemonium and disorder, resisted the concept violently as the fabric of reality began tearing apart, but the man didn’t care.

"FALL!" The golden diagram descended upon my chained figure, crashing into the earth in an apocalyptic manner.

RUUUUMBLLEEEEEEE!!!!

The land below caved in. Even the city far behind us wasn’t spared as the circular diagram leveled everything in its wake.

Until finally... silence.

"May you find eternal rest in the bosom of the goddess."

The Celestial’s sanctimonious words echoed through the silence and...

"If her boobs are big, then I really don’t mind."

I couldn’t help it. The image of a big-boobed goddess giving me a chest pillow? Sign me up.

WOOOSH!!!

With a thought, the dust cleared up instantly and my figure became visible.

The Celestial’s prideful expression morphed into shock as I could see his eyes shrink into pinholes.

"You... impossible."

"No. You’ve got it wrong, for I..." I pulled once more and then...

CLANK!!!

The golden chains shattered completely...

"...am very possible." I grinned, looking straight into his eyes.

"That was a nice warmup, Celestial, but if you think a little judgment will be enough to put me down, then you underestimate me far too much." I raised my arm.

"How about I give you a taste of your own medicine?"

"No..."

"Absolute Series..." The skies split apart as a massive dark-golden diagram imprinted itself onto the heavens.

The laws roared as chaos finally reigned once more.

The entire region began trembling as...

CLANG! CLANG!! CLANG!!

Massive dark-golden chains materialized and held onto the Celestial.

"What... what is this??" His shocked voice gave me a sudden sense of satisfaction, so, I let go...

"...Heaven’s Fall..."

CRAAAAASHH!!!

The diagram plummeted with a fury, tearing the very atmosphere apart as it collided with the struggling Celestial.

BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

The earth below became a bottomless pit as the attack dug through the surface, tearing apart everything in its wake.

"HUUUUUMAN!!!!!!!" A deafening roar tore through the air as a figure materialized in a burst of golden light.

"You dare!!!!" The man roared, eyes spitting rage and hate.

"There. I like that look. Now, maybe we can finally get serious." I laughed. Gone was that pompous posturing. Now, maybe, just maybe, he would give me the fight I deserved.

"I will tear you limb from limb. I will make sure you pay dearly for this disrespect."

"I’ve heard those words time and again, yet till now, I still stand. Unchallenged. Absolute. So, spare me the dialogue and fight."

Our eyes locked.

Gold against gold.

The atmosphere drew taut. And then...

...we moved.

A/N: Alright. Time for the main event. Hoo... let’s go..

Ps: if you spot anywhere the celestial mentioned chaos, he’s talking about violence and the rest, not Dante’s "Chaos".
