"Alright. Dante. I admit my defeat. You win." He shook his head wryly.
"I take back my words. Your usage of laws is exactly as it should. Clearly, that’s what works for you. I apologize if my words earlier were disrespectful." He stood up and bowed. Not an ounce of shame on his face.
This was a man that knew how to take defeat with honor.
"Heh! Then I guess that’s that." I had no qualms with the man.

"Heh! You can’t go without showing off, can you?" Salazar remarked as we finally appeared back in the restored dojo.

We were back at the separate space with the green grass and blue skies.
"Damn. You need to show me how to do this shit." I exclaimed, looking around at the breathtaking landscape.
"I don’t mind. I’ve got a lot of fun things I can show you about laws and their applications. Hell, I’ve even got some pretty fun creations you can check out." His eyes suddenly shone in pure excitement the moment the idea of teaching something was mentioned.
"Looks like we both get excited over very different things." I muttered, distancing myself from the over enthusiastic man.
"Hahahaha... sorry. It’s just, I’ve never seen an anomaly like you before. So many laws comprehended when you’re barely an adult by human standards. And there are people who have lived for longer than you can fathom that are struggling to make headway in more than two supreme laws."
"Of course I’m different. I’m the main character. I’m meant to be different."
"What does that even mean?"
"Nevermind. Let’s just get this over with. We’ve wasted enough time already."
At my words, he seemed to have finally gotten some clarity back.
"Ahh.. yes. Calidos mentioned that you needed my help with something?" He asked, moving back and taking a seat on an elevated earthen platform.
I did the same as the world around me reacted naturally.
"Old man. Explain." I signaled for the old abyss walker to explain as I went back to admiring the scenery.
"Well. Guild master Salazar. I am Corvak sentai, from the sand city guild branch." He introduced himself respectfully.
"Hmm.. sand city. Maersk, right?"
"Yes. Guild master Maersk sent us over to clarify some issues since he didn’t have enough clearance to do so."
"Oh? Interesting. What’s so big that a High Marshal wouldn’t have enough coverage to handle."
"This... well, guild master Salazar. The Raukhar forests. They’ve been exterminated."

Silence fell for a brief moment, before...
"What? I’m sorry, I don’t think I heard you correctly, you didn’t just say that the raukhar forests have been destroyed did you?" He asked incredulously.
"You heard me right, master Salazar."
"But.. that’s impossible. The Raukhar forests aren’t something anyone within sand city should be capable of...." His words trailed off as his eyes landed on my grinning face.
"You..."
"Yes. Me."
"... do I even want to know how?"
"I got excited facing the big dog. Decided to test out something new, and then.. poof. Gone."
".... Of course. Of course that’s what happened." He shook his head.
"I understand what you mean now, Corvak. It seems this issue is indeed beyond what a simple High marshal can handle."
"It is indeed so."
"Then, what was the solution you came up with?"
"Guild master Maersk assigned him a temporary High Marshal rank before sending us here, In hopes of you clearing the mission properly."
"I see.. alright then. It’s no bother." He nodded.
"Calidos. Come here." He beckoned towards the assistant that had brought us here.
"Get ready the documentation process."
"As you wish, master. What rank shall we assign to him?"
"Let’s see. Not only did he wipe out a Cataclysmic-grade infernal, but he also destroyed the entire Raukhar forests..."
"Oh. I also killed the ashen plains. Don’t forget that."

Another heavy silence fell upon the place as everyone turn their attention to me.
"What?"
"I’m.. I’m sorry. Lord absolute. Did you just say.. you killed the ashen plains?"
"Mmhmm.." I nodded.
"So.. when you brought back that gorath..."
"Bingo. I hadn’t taken it from the plains. I simply killed the plains and took it." I shrugged.
I could see the clear disbelief in the eyes of everyone there.
"Ha! You underestimate the prowess of my lord. Forget the ashen plains. Even the steel mountains themselves pose no challenge to my lord absolute." Credit where it’s due, as shulvan stepped in right in time to boost my image.
"Haaa... of course. I guess we can add that to the list as well."

"So, what rank is to be assigned to the one called, Absolute." The attendant asked once more.
"Let it be known to the entire Wanderers Guild." Salazar rose to his feet, an aura of quiet majesty settling around him as he clasped his hands behind his back.
"The Wanderers Guild of the Abyss welcomes another Sovereign to its ranks."
"Conqueror of the Ashen Plains."
"Vanquisher of the Raukhar Forests."
"He who walked through the Abyssal Storms."
His golden eyes settled upon me.
"Let every guild branch bear witness."
"Let every city of the Outer Fringes remember this day."
"From this moment onward..."
"The Abyss welcomes..."
"The one."
"The only."
"Lord Absolute."
On that day, a new legend was born within the outer fringes of the abyss. One that was bound to resound far and beyond the deepest stretches of the entirety of the abyss itself.
