When the whole public story is finished and the bottle of brandy is emptied, the master cuts out the story.

"The mastermind that attacked a boy named Isma, as you can imagine, would belong to the hands of the Baron Cornell family"

"Is it still true"

"I was sure of you."

"Oh, well, this seemingly escaped into the Cornell family territory. It's only natural to be a prime suspect."

"But, well, you've often found out where the assassin is."

"It's easy. I let him get away on purpose, and instead of a tracking machine, I just strained the demon."

"The trick is brilliant. Praise and send."

"Don't go around like that if you're a master, you're going to be held captive and tortured."

"Right, that's quicker"

The master is not kidding, he seems to think so for real.

My eyes were serious.

"- You should learn the word that the master controls rigor softly. If an assassin is a courteous, hard-mouthed person, torture is counterproductive."

I prefer the phrase, "Hate and I just turn down tenderness. I know many effective methods of torture. If you give me 24 hours or so, I think you have a better chance of telling me everything while I cry and cling to my feet."

…………

- I'm losing my word.

"I admit you're smarter the way you are."

Hmm, and I snapped my nose, and I glazed Brandy.

There were only a few brandies left in the bottle, so only a few drops came out.

When the maid of man's daughter arrived as if she had anticipated it, she left a new bottle of brandy.

It is no longer a hassle to soak it in a glass, and I drink it directly from the bottle.

…………

It frightened me, but I dared ignore it, and I kept going.

"I am grateful that the assassin escaped into the Cornell family. The mastermind was quickly discovered. But when that happens, there's only one problem."

It's hard to say. When I say that, the master supplements the words that lie ahead.

"Even you, Imperial aristocrats, do you feel comfortable setting it up with a nobleman who is also known as a heavy minister?"

"Your answer. I'm not stupid enough to sell fights to the Baron's house without any back shield."

"If you were me, I'd feel like I'd challenged a fight without a relationship."

"You're the parent of one daughter now. You can't be nasty."

"So every favor you make is the end of a fight after you sell it to the Cornells."

"It will. Is it every unscrupulous favor?

"It's not a chameless place. It's reckless and unprofitable. I hope you don't get involved in that."

And when I say it out cold, I take the word for it there.

Looks like you're enjoying my look.

Enjoying my reaction the whole way, I add, "- but".

"Except for this one time. It also matches my business and my interests. So be thoughtful with the Cornell family. I'll take care of everything."

…………

Undesirable, or thankful, but if I am lost in choice, the master continues his words.

"It's the Cornell family that has unleashed chimeras on my house and provoked me. I can laugh and forgive you for that, but the Cornells have done just as much evil to cut me off as they are famous for their long minds."

Since when have you become famous for your long temper?

I've never heard such rumors.

If it was a rumor to the contrary, I knew it with my own hands, but I didn't put it into words.

"Now I'm doing something like a certain royal advisor"

"Is it a certain royalty?

"That's right. Let me just say," Oh, my God. "

I guess there are quite a few circumstances in which the master does not reveal his name.

Then it was polite not to ask.

"The other side is trying to reform this rotten empire. But there's a party against that reform."

"It's like you heard it somewhere."

There is a similar story in the college where I am currently a faculty member.

There is a struggle between conservatives and reformers.

Among the relatively liberal principalities, even the free-school Lengrad School of Magic is troublesome.

Right and conspiracy. Confronting conservatives within a swirling empire would be no bother.

I felt sorry for my master because I thought so.

"Faction fighting is harsh in every world. Not to mention factional strife within the Empire is life-threatening. Sometimes if you lose a political battle, you leave life as it is."

No matter, there's nothing that can kill me, I'll add.

"It's impossible to kill a master without preparing as many heavily armed knights as you can or gathering more than one other great sage."

"Or maybe you'll turn to the enemy."

There's nothing I can do about it.

"Don't be modest.... Well, fine. More problematic than that is that its conservatives are trying to kill the royal family that aspires to reform the empire. And to expand our forces, we're dyeing our hands at numerous evils, and that's the problem."

"For example?"

"Human trafficking"

"Though that is prohibited by international treaties. And the Episcopal Church is forbidden."

"Not on this continent. Besides, when it comes to things that do not believe in 'God' or pagans, they are not protected by law. Fae or not."

"So you're making money selling pagans and fae off the continent."

Um, the master nods.

"There are other illegal drug trafficking, consorting with criminal organizations and making money. roughly all the evil that villains come up with is done and profitable"

"And we're using that money to further expand our forces," he said.

"Right. It's just a bug in a lion."

The master told me to throw up.

"And one of those bugs is Baron Cornell."

"Oh, Baron Frederick von Cornell. It's a disgrace to this country itself. Recent college raids, and Ismire raids, are also involved."

"- I see."

And I'm gonna leak it.

When I heard that word, I thought I'd do something about that Baron Cornell again.

Such a villain would have no room to blame.

I overwhelmed my resolve to eliminate it with all my might.

No matter, I'm not going to take my life.

But still, it wouldn't be a problem to do enough to regret being born.

With that in mind, I considered how to get rid of that villain.
