'Hasid, target the shield golems!' I ordered, and the next moment, the staff of the mages lit up.

A second later, tens of spells shot toward the shield golems.

The golems didn't react until the spells reached halfway to them, when I saw their shields lighting up faintly. I wonder how they would deal with sniping spells.

Half of the spells would crash against the shields, but the other half would go over them toward the command golem.

I had just thought that when the shields glowed, and a moment later, an energy wall appeared out of the shields. It is large and tall, completely blocking the way toward any golems behind the wall.

The spells struck the wall, and it didn't even crack. It just made it slightly paler.

'Keep firing spells!'

The purpose is to find the abilities of all golems. So, in this round, the cost didn't matter; what matters is the result, and I plan to get it.

More and more spells clashed against the energy wall. Grade III and IV spells, but the wall remained.

'Focus on the single point,' I ordered, seeing spells are unable to break through the wall. It didn't make me feel good, as I will need to find a strategy to break through it.

The orders were followed immediately, and the mages attacked a single target.

Immediately, I noticed the screen becoming denser at the point of the attack. The golems have reacted. 'Fourth mage squad, spread the spells across the screen.'

Immediately, the spells are directed all over the screen, while continuing the assault on the single point.

Finally, the faint cracks appeared at the point that we were targeting. It made me relieved; I feared that, with the number of spells we had used, it couldn't be cracked.

The mages intensified their spells as cracks appeared, and with the spells, they began to spread.

It was then the song rang high, and shield golems moved. The gaps appeared between them, but the shield didn't disappear; it shrank. At the same time, raptors darted through the gaps that the shield golem created.

They passed through the energy wall with no problem.

'Platoon one, platoon two, ready to face the enemy!' All my men got ready to fight.

The raptors seemed to be the main attacking force; they numbered eighteen, the highest among all the golem units.

They are bipedal, with large, sharp claws and a blade-like tail, which made me shudder just looking at them.

They came, but they didn't come at us straight. No, they separated and moved to our left and right, which is not protected by the shield wall.

Most would not expect this. We had expected it. They fight like us.

They made a strange sound as they reached close to us and attacked. Immediately, I knew I had been right; these bastards are the most dangerous ones.

These are killers that enter the enemy force and start a massacre.

They are fast, faster than I had thought, and agile; their two legs give them huge agility, and add to that a bladed tail that could move omnidirectionally, and sharp claws.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

The moment they clash, blood begins to flow as they attack with claws, tail, and mouth.

My men, the most talented and highly trained, reacted immediately. The skills roared, and weapons moved, but these golems are something else.

The healers moved to deal with the injured, but they could not keep up with the injuries.

I wanted to join them, but I remained in my place, looking at the entire battle, trying to see every little thing that would give us a chance of victory, which I had not seen until now.

"Altas!"

It took seconds for the first of my men to use the safe word. I feared it might not work, but it did. Immediately, green energy covered the man.

He hurried out of the battlefield, and they let him. Seeing that, I felt relieved.

"Colonel, these bastards are too dam quick!" cursed Dorv. These are the words our enemies used about us.

It isn't the Raptors that are making things difficult. It is a combination of the whole force.

We are getting rammed by the Rhinos on the front. Energy attacks and birds are attacking us from the sky, and raptors on the ground are turning us bloody.

Aside from me, every warrior, mage, and healer is fighting. There is still a command golem that hasn't made the move, and we don't know what other abilities the shield golems and other golems have.

I was looking at the battle when Wild Rhythm spiked, and I turned immediately, swinging my axe, activating Lion's Strength and Razorwing Edge.

It clashed with the large, thick claws of a raptor, and I felt its power.

It's great enough that it shook me, nearly sending me a step back.

It roared like a beast would and loudly as it attacked again, but my men appeared in front of it and defended. I watched for a second longer before turning to the wider battlefield.

Seconds passed, and four more of my people used the safe word and walked out. Increasing the pressure on the rest.

'Will you be able to push toward the shield golems?' I asked. 'No. I am already having a tough time dealing with these Rhinos,' came the reply from Lt. Colonel Bandstone.

I wanted to curse seeing that, but I calmed down and looked across the battlefield, and every person I looked at was busy warrior, mage, or healer.

I am the only one free. I said to myself and saw two more using the safe word.

I don't have much time, a few more seconds, and it would be hard for my men to hold them back.

'I am going to the shield golems, cover me!' I declared and moved immediately. My target is Command Golem, but I will have to pass the shield golem before that.

I didn't waste any time and activated Ferald Blitz to move.

Immediately, the energy attacks focused on me more intensely, and birds came, with raptors coming at me from the ground.

My men moved and stopped them, not a single one able to touch me.

A few seconds later, I was out of the unit and pushed the Ferald Blitz to its highest as I ran toward the command golems.

Energy attacks rained down on me, birds attacked, while raptors tried to follow me, but like before, not a single one was able to touch me.

My men are the best; they work cohesively. Most importantly, they learn fast. It is why they are using the spells, and the skill they are using is affecting the golems.

Though not for long. They are pushing themselves; they won't be able to continue for more than a few seconds.

Well, I only need a few seconds.

The shield golems seemed to understand what I was planning to do as they surrounded the command golem, and a sphere of energy formed around it.

I had expected it, but it still made me want to curse hard when I saw it.

Finally, I reached near the golems.

'Now!' I ordered, and a moment later, a second barrage of spells moved toward the protective sphere. Every mage had cast a spell targeting a single spot.

I could hear many screaming the safe word, while the rest prepared for the second spell.

The most important.

The sphere shone brightly before the barrage struck, creating a huge blast. I jumped at it, feeling the power and damage it was doing to me, but Wildheart's protection saved me.

The blast blinded everything; even with Predator's Eyes, I could not see clearly, but that's fine.

The rhythm told me what I wanted to know, and when I reached a certain height. I swung my ax, activating Lion's Strength and Razorwing Edge.

I pushed the skills hard as I could as I swung my blade toward the massive silhouette.

The spell broke the shield, and now, I am attacking the command Golem. My ax reached closer and closer, until it reached halfway, when the frozen command golem finally moved.

I saw its eyes shining and its arm moving, swinging its massive staff toward me.

"Ahhh!"

I screamed and dug for even more power because what I have is not enough. I harnessed every speck of it and pushed it all into my attack.

Finally, my ax reached its staff and clashed.

At the same moment, the remainder of my mages and warriors achieved their task.

As my ax met the staff, I felt the immense power clash against me. I felt like I had clashed against the mountain. It's immense and immovable, which sent a dread to my soul, but it also made a hungry grin appear on my face.

I succeeded.

I went against the command golem. It fills me with dread thinking about how my men and I are going to defeat it and its band of golems, but that is a question for later.

Right now, I have achieved the aim. I had gotten the information.

"Altas!"

I screamed, and the command golem froze mid-air in its attack. So are the birds and lasers coming to me. Seeing that, I felt relief flood my heart.
