Chapter 62: I WANT TO GO HOME
"What? She is not here." Zephyr was on high alert when he saw that Reaper was sitting in front of the bungalow door.
It had been a few days since they left, and only now had they returned, but Zade had taken Seara straight to the facility instead of going home. Therefore, Zephyr was here to ask Caylin or Maisie to prepare some clothes for Seara.
"She will not come for a while," Zephyr said to the wild wolf. "Move aside, will you?"
Instead, Reaper growled at him. The wolf stared at Zephyr sharply, but after a while, he moved away from the entrance door.
"Seriously, why do you act like a lap dog with Seara but growl at me?" Zephyr then opened the door and gestured for Maisie and Caylin to come inside.
The two omegas didn’t dare to come because Reaper had been coming very often ever since Seara left, looking for her.
When the door was open, Reaper went straight to Seara’s bedroom, but the wolf couldn’t find her. There was only her scent that was left.
"I will be here; grab some clothes for her." Zephyr slouched on the sofa.
"For how many days will she be there?" Maisie asked; she needed to know how long Seara would be away. She didn’t know exactly where she was, because the royal gamma only said she was sick.
It was not strange, since they had noticed she was rather weak and had been in constant checkups at the hospital.
"Hm. I don’t know... Just pack for a week; I will get more if it is not enough." Zephyr heard the two omegas quickly pack Seara’s clothes, and then he felt something brush his fingers. "What?" He was startled when he looked down and saw Reaper was next to him. "What? Do you want to be chummy with me now?"

Seara woke up with a start. She looked around her, and panic hit her hard when she realized this place was unfamiliar to her. She had never been here before.
The panic crowded her mind wildly.
"Seara."
Seara snapped her head to a familiar voice and clung to it to find a sense of balance as Zade’s figure entered her sight.
She pushed away the blanket that covered her and got out of the bed, but her legs were too weak, and she rose too fast. The room was spinning, and the headache hammered her head.
Fortunately, Zade reached her in time before she fell to the floor.
"Where is this? Where is this?" Seara clutched Zade tightly; he was like a lifeline for her. The only one that she was familiar with.
"We are in the hospital. You are alright." Zade then mind-linked Ace to call Jane to tell her that Seara was awake now.
He just stepped out for a while because Ace wanted to inform him about something important. It lasted only less than a minute, but when he returned, he saw Seara had opened her eyes, and they were filled with panic.
"You are alright." Zade caressed her back and kissed her head. He wanted her to sleep a little bit longer, so perhaps when she woke up, she would forget everything else. He really wished she forgot everything. "You are fine."
"Why? Why am I here?" Seara was trembling. "I don’t want to be here..." she whimpered pitifully, and this made Zade feel a pang in his heart.
"It’s okay; we need to be here for a while. This is like a regular checkup with Rio," Zade said in a comforting tone.
"I want to go home... please take me home..."
"We will go home. Of course, we will go home." Zade had the sudden urge to take Seara back and ignored whatever Jane had told him just earlier. His mate didn’t want to be here, so why did he have to make her stay?
"Take me home. I don’t want to be here... please, Zade, please... I will be good. I will not cause you trouble. I will be good..." Seara was panicking; fear held onto her as hard as her grip on Zade. "I want to go home. Take me home, please..."
"Of course, we are going to go home." Zade furrowed his brows. He was not physically injured, but why did he feel as if someone had stabbed him with every plea of Seara that he couldn’t fulfill? "It’s okay, we will go home soon."
Zade caressed her head and her back in a soothing motion as Seara cried against his chest.
However, all of a sudden, she had an outburst. She lifted her head and her eyes filled with malice. "Liar! You lie to me! You don’t want to take me home, right?! You lie! You want to trap me here! You want to lock me away!"
Seara frantically looked for the door and then pushed Zade away from her. She was no longer crying; her survival instinct kicked in as she dashed toward the door.
But Zade was faster and stronger; he grabbed Seara even before she could take the second step away.
"Calm down, Seara. No one is going to trap you here. No one will lock you here." Even at a moment like this, Zade’s voice was still as gentle as ever when he talked to her.
"Liar!" Seara slapped Zade, but he didn’t even flinch. It was not the first time she did it. "Get off me! Get off me! Arrgghh!!!"
Seara screamed at the top of her lungs because of how frustrated she was. She wanted to leave, but she didn’t even stand a chance to get away from Zade.
"Get off me! Bastard! Don’t touch me! I said, Don’t touch me! I am going to kill you! I am going to fucking kill you! Don’t you dare to touch me!"
That was when Zade realized that Seara was not only fighting him, but she was also fighting her nightmare. Her reality was a jumbled mess, and she thought she went back to that moment.
