Seeing that the people in front and behind were all his own, the thug was full of smugness, thinking the victory was already in his grasp and that he could easily subdue Lin Beichen.

"What the hell do you think you are? You actually want to cooperate with Lan Zihua’s company? I advise you to drop that idea right now." The thug started cursing at Lin Beichen.

With so many people on his side, even if Lin Beichen was tough, two fists can’t beat four hands—sooner or later he’d fall into his hands.

"Seeing all these people, you must be scared out of your mind, right? If you want me to let you go, get on your knees and kowtow, and promise that from now on you’ll have nothing to do with Lan Zihua." The thug even made such a demand.

If it were someone else, they might really be scared by this kind of show of force and do exactly what he said.

But Lin Beichen was not that kind of person; he would never listen to what this thug said.

"I know you’re probably thinking, ’A man’s knees are worth their weight in gold,’ but in a situation like this, there’s no need to overthink it."

"If you don’t want to kneel, that’s fine. There’s another way I can let you off—get down and crawl through my crotch." The thug pretended to think it over, then came up with another way to "punish" Lin Beichen.

Lin Beichen just stared at him coldly without saying a word.

"Or you can lick all our shoes clean, every single one here, and we’ll let you go too. I’ve laid out so many options, you pick one yourself—whatever you think works. We’re not forcing you, just follow one of them and we’ll spare your pathetic life today." The thug acted all high and mighty.

No matter which one Lin Beichen chose, it would be a humiliation.

"Don’t worry, we’ve got cameras on us. We’ll record everything you do, and we won’t bother you again next time. Of course, if you don’t satisfy us, then you’d better watch your back—we can come for you anytime, anywhere." The thug didn’t forget to threaten Lin Beichen.

He absolutely couldn’t let such a "spectacular scene" go to waste, or he’d feel he’d suffered a huge loss, not worth all the crap he’d just spewed.

Not only did the thug keep insulting Lin Beichen and ordering him around, even his lackeys were affected; they started shouting at Lin Beichen:

"Hurry up and do it, don’t waste everybody’s time here. You don’t want to listen to our boss? Sounds to me like you’re itching for a beating. Let me tell you, my fists are hard as hell. I’ve been dying to pound you for a while now."

"Hmph, we’ve been in this alley for so long, look at Lin Beichen—he doesn’t even dare fart. He’s scared stiff by our aura." They all chimed in, talking over one another.

From the very start, back when they surrounded Lin Beichen downstairs at Lan Zihua’s company, Lin Beichen had only casually said one sentence, suggesting they find another place. After they came into the alley, he didn’t say a single word.

Anyone seeing this might think Lin Beichen had been scared senseless by so many people, turned utterly cowardly, afraid that one wrong word would offend them and he’d get beaten to a pulp.

When one of the thug’s lackeys said this, it immediately caught the thug’s attention. He turned his head to look at Lin Beichen, only to see that there wasn’t a trace of cowardice on Lin Beichen’s face. Instead, he was coldly watching everyone, both hands shoved in his pockets, as if none of this had anything to do with him.

The thug couldn’t help feeling annoyed. They’d spent so much time hurling insults at Lin Beichen, wasting so much breath, yet it had zero effect. Lin Beichen’s gaze made him feel like his so-called authority had completely evaporated in front of this man.

He even started to suspect that Lin Beichen was facially paralyzed—that no matter what happened, whether it was sorrow, joy, or being threatened, he’d always have that same icy expression. But the thug had investigated Lin Beichen’s background beforehand and knew he wasn’t some emotionless statue.

In that case, this expression could only mean that Lin Beichen didn’t give a damn about him.

Thinking of this, the thug decided to have his goons give Lin Beichen a good lesson, to see whether his face would still be that cold when he was getting beaten, and to see if, in the end, he’d kneel and beg for mercy.

A vicious glint flashed in the thug’s eyes as he glared fiercely at Lin Beichen and said, "Looking at you, it’s obvious you don’t know how to spell the word ’fear.’ Then I’ll let you have a taste of what a beating feels like. Get him!"

If looks could kill, Lin Beichen would’ve died a thousand times over already.

Yet faced with the thug’s threats, Lin Beichen still looked completely unimpressed.

He just happened to need an opportunity to practice; he’d been wondering where to find people to test his hands on. And here they were surrounding him, volunteering to beat him up—this move was really "thoughtful."

Lin Beichen stood where he was, crossed his hands together, and loosened up his joints.

Seeing him like this, the thug snorted coldly to himself: "Already at death’s door and still putting on a relaxed act—what, you think you’re filming some idol drama?"

Then all of the thug’s helpers rushed at Lin Beichen, starting to swing at him.

The thug just stood there; with so many people around, he didn’t need to lift a finger, and in his mind Lin Beichen would already be beaten until he was staggering and falling all over the place.

The crowd layered around Lin Beichen, surrounding him so tightly that they laid into him from all sides.

Anyone watching would’ve thought Lin Beichen was no match for them at all. The thug thought the same.

However, at that moment, they saw Lin Beichen knock his helpers down one after another, sending them crashing to the ground.

The people in the back saw this and rushed forward in turn to attack Lin Beichen. Like that, they launched wave after wave of attacks on him.
