Continental Hero Senki

stationed martial officer

Silonsk, the king capital of the Kingdom of Silesia, is a city. There was a time when I thought so, too.

November 17. I arrived in Esterburg, the empire of the Ostomark Empire, my new duty station. So what I saw was such a big city that the expression "gorgeous city" or "capital of the arts" was not enough.

By analogy, after a rural native who moved to Okayama for further education thought, "Okayama is a big city," it's close to feeling that Osaka was too prosperous to lose his hips if he went to Osaka for wild life. I've never been to Osaka.

Less than 20 minutes to be rocked by an army carriage, I finally arrived at the Silesian Embassy.

---

"I declare. This time, I have ordained His Excellency's Deputy Assistant, Captain Yuzef Waresa. Thank you very much."

Hit the man in front of me with the words I practiced many times in the carriage.

"Good luck reporting. As you know, I am Brigadier General Lucas Sternback, Attaché of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Silesia in the service of the Ostmarc Empire."

This is the first time I've seen the real thing, regardless, but I knew about Brigadier General Sternback in a pre-handed document. He's a middle-aged man and his hair is already white, but he doesn't have a mustache. Your body looks like a martial artist and muscular, you have a disappointing body even from the top of your clothes.

"But I knew it because it was in the paperwork... you're really young. And a captain? You must have been lucky."

I don't deny you're lucky, but it seems like a complete feat of luck. I won't tell you.

"I'm afraid."

"Hmm. Well. I hear you put up quite a few martial arts medals in battle, but that stuff here is useless long stuff. It's about making sure you remember what you do here. Follow the chief aide's instructions for a while. And don't forget to say hello to the Ambassador. Any questions?

"None."

"Okay, back off, please"

Ha, nervous......

I wonder why I have to say hello to the inauguration like this. I'm sending the paperwork first. That's fine. Yes. When I left the room foolishly in my heart, there was another man. She looks like a dark haired all-back in her late 20s, and wears military uniforms. Looking at the class chapter, it was Major.

Salute for now is etiquette.

"You're the new Captain Waresa, aren't you?

"Yes. Yes, Major."

"Mm-hmm. I'm Major Leo Damrosch, Brigadier General Sternback's chief aide."

"I have ordained the Deputy Assistant, this is Captain Yuzef Waresa. I know there are many things I don't even know, thank you for your guidance whip!

With Major Damrosh's guidance, I will complete my greetings to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and be guided through the Embassy. In neighboring countries, and sometimes referred to as embassies of former powers, the Silesian embassy is quite large. The embassy consists of a main building and an annex. The embassy where the main building is called, the annex, is the ambassadorial residence.

"All Silesian librarians, including our stationed military officers, are to stay at the Ambassador's residence. Your room number is 404."

There are a lot of people out there, even in a sip with the embassy. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Minister Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Counsellor, Clerk, Clerk, Resident Martial Officer, Investigator, Police Officer, Medical Officer, and locally recruited staff, etc. All together, about 20 people. Naturally this number increases when you become a big country. For example, the Embassy of the Western Continental Empire of the Ostomark Empire has about 100 employees. Good, Silesia is in small and medium-sized countries. Otherwise, my pathetic memory won't be able to remember as many as 100 embassy members.

"It's too late today, so I'll explain the specific duties tomorrow. Any questions?

"None."

"Right. Then you should take your time. Yeah, well, I forgot to tell you, naturally if you're going outside the embassy, but outside of working hours, and as you would report to someone more than a clerk before you go. All right?"

"Yes."

"Great. Now, take your time off."

As soon as I entered the room I had prepared for myself, I fell into bed dressed and dressed.

I'm tired. I'm fiercely tired. When I met all sorts of people, I was pointed at the back finger of a "fucking kid" or "peasant," and I was suspected many times of age, background, and medal fraud. Most people are intrigued or joking, but some of them seriously suspected it. Brigadier General Sternback, an embassy attaché.

I fished in the bag I brought from Silesia and took the object out. That is the material given to me by Her Royal Highness Princess Emilia.

I was given that dossier about the last day of my vacation, that booze seat. I remember the conversation clearly. I'm glad I didn't drink that much.

---

Time goes back, November 9. in the Duke Krakowski House Reception Room.

"Mr. Yuzef. There are a few things you should be aware of when you take up your duties as a stationed martial officer in the Ostomark Empire."

"What is it?

I am listening to His Highness Emilia as she puts Sarah's head on her lap, drunk and bursting asleep.

"The Embassy of the Kingdom of Silesia in the Ostmarc Empire is called the Grand Duke's Nest."

When His Highness cut out so, he took the material out of the bag he had placed beside the couch and gave it to me. A peek at page 1 detailed the name, title, and identity of the person. I mean, I guess this means the roster at the Imperial Embassy in Ostmark.

"Plenipotentiary ambassadors, ambassadors and embassy attachés are, of course, divided by the Grand Duchy up to the clerks and clerks at the end."

"It's also... an enemy land"

"Yes. So be careful what you say and do. Especially when in contact with Viscount Linz locally."

"Okay."

Are you alone in the enemy land? This is pretty tough. Isolated, helpless, geographically uninformed exotic land. I hate it when a 15 year old with no connections and no identity gets on board.

"I know it's hard. But besides Yuzef, I have someone I can trust..."

"I know, Your Highness. I will do my job to meet His Highness's expectations."

"... thank you. Really."

Oh, come on. Besides, it looks like it's more fun than the work of Fort Tartak Security Operations Staff Assistant.

"Okay, we'll talk about it.... I think the cadet named Yuzef Waresa is known to the Grand Duchy of the Ten and Eighty-Nine. And this mansion will now be monitored by Grand Duchy humans."

"... that, I know"

The Grand Duke's political enemy, Her Royal Highness the Princess, is gathering people at the Duke Krakowski's house, what an information would put one or two of the watchers on if Grand Duke's ears came in.

"Inside this mansion is safe. But I don't know outside the mansion. And also outside the country..."

You mean there might come a guy trying to assassinate me? Oh, man, I don't remember getting that great.

"But in that case, wouldn't Her Royal Highness put herself, Radek, and Sarah in more danger than I do?

"... right. That point is overwhelming. That point is also communicated to the Rosenstock and Krakowski families. So for being in the country, you won't be able to make flashy moves. There is also surveillance by the Police Department and the Ministry of the Interior. Besides, the internal affairs letter seems to be on my side at the moment."

The Home Office is on your side. Horrible. There is such a thing as the Internal Affairs Ministry's Security Police Department...

"But I can't reach it outside the country. So be very careful with that hand."

"Okay. But... as you know, I'm vulnerable to fights. Don't expect too much."

You just lost to Sarah in a duel, so you're really not sure. Her Royal Highness Princess Emilia said with a smile to me that created such anxiety.

"No. If you don't come home alive, I'll be in trouble."
