Continental Hero Senki

Cross-border

It was two days after his departure from Fort Tartak that Imperial Army Major General Sergei Romanov arrived at the rear stronghold Valavillier.

He handed an appeal to the Imperial Army Commander-in-Chief, Marshal Bakunin, on June 5, saying, "Do not put in reserve forces and block the rebels' backs". A few days later, this appeal was accepted, but Bakunin appointed Sergei as its messenger.

"It would be a good pain in the ass. You've been feeling depressed because I surprisingly put up a martial arts medal, and you're pimping me back."

"My lord, you have a loud voice"

The Sergei division had become one infantry regiment as a matter of fact, because the division, although named after it, had not been replenished in its strength, and furthermore the highly specialized soldier who said sorcerers, archers and cavalry had been pulled out.

That was explained by Bakunin because even the Imperial Army was running out of room for power, but Sergei seemed to disagree.

"We're losing power. But I probably don't like it when you give me the strength. If I had one division, they'd finally realize I was just going to make a difference."

That was a manifestation of some confidence in one's own abilities while criticizing the blindness of seeing Bakunin people. Irrespective of Sergei, he avoided being overly confident. Because he found out in the battle the other day that that was excessive confidence leads to chronic hearts and that was the shortcut to defeat.

But if I let him talk any more, I don't know what they'll say from around me. Kreutzer, a friend of Sergei's, thought so, forcing him to change the course of the story in half.

"More than that, my lord. What will you do?

"... whatever you do, you will have to obey orders. I didn't say," Hurry up, "so I decided to go at my own pace."

"Ha..."

It was thus at 8: 30 p.m. on 10 June that Sergei, who had been given the task of commander, abandoned that task in half to begin rear guarding Valavillier.

Almost at the same time, Cavalry 300, led by Lieutenant Colonel Miesel of the Royal Army, was laying formation near the Raskino-Eastern Continental Empire border. We will wait until sunset because if we continue east for a few more hours, we will cross the border. In areas of high latitude (Lasquino) where spring passes and we are already entering the summer, the sun does not set completely until 9pm.

Then it is not if I say if it is 9pm it will be dark. The mighty source of light, the Sun, continues to illuminate the earth, even as it tries to set beyond the horizon. In spite of the setting of the sun, the time when the sky is bright is called "dim", and in the East it is called "witch time".

And this thin is further divided into three hours: civil thin, navigational thin, and astronomical thin.

Simply put, civic thinning is literally a time when citizens are bright enough to operate. Voyage thinning is a time when you can recognize the boundaries between heaven and earth. And astronomical thinning is the time when all the stars in the night sky can be confirmed with the naked eye.

If we're going to do this operation, night penetration, we have to wait until at least the time the voyage is thin. But as mentioned earlier, Laskino is a high latitude region, and the night time is very short. For this reason, astronomical thinning time exists only for 30 minutes, and voyage thinning is only about 4 hours in total.

And if it is 3: 00 a.m., the sun will begin to assert itself as early as possible. For this reason, three hours would be the limit for the Royal Army to move.

And even for a little while, the moon is about 17 months old.

The sky was clear. Not without one cloud is at least salvation, but it is still highly dangerous.

Lieutenant Colonel Miesel therefore put Captain Sarah Marinovska's 15th Platoon on surveillance near the border. It is a reconnaissance to see how many Imperial Army border guards there are and to penetrate them as soon as there are holes in their vigilance network.

But Sarah, who undertook the task, was disgruntled.

"Said Zalesier, said this time, why am I on all my reconnaissance missions... I thought I was just scouting Laskino"

"Captain? What's up?

"Nothing."

For the convenience of covert reconnaissance, there is a risk that the enemy will detect the incompetence of the person in charge. Lieutenant Colonel Miesel gave the 15th Platoon active in this war a reconnaissance mission, but Sarah, unaware of the circumstances, was always unfaithful.

Regardless, that's not why she's out of control of the mission.

"Kova. Do you see anything?

Against his men peeking into the telescope, Sarah listened to the situation as she encapsulated her dissatisfaction.

"I don't know why you sound so dissatisfied, but I don't see the Imperial Army Border Guard, Captain."

"... I don't need the first half."

She glances at the telescope from her men, while keeping an eye on the front. Indeed, as Kovalski put it, there is no one in the border zone. The sun is already near the horizon, and if the sun sets completely, the area will be dark. If the Imperial Army Guard does not deploy before then, it will be difficult to discern the borders.

"What do you think it means to say that the sun is already tilting and there's not a single soldier near here?

"Normally, you're stepping on the idea that there's no chance that the Laskino army will break in and transfer their power elsewhere. But..."

"But what?

"Trap, I thought it might be possible to say"

"It's a trap..."

Not without the possibility of a trap, as Kovalski put it. The Imperial Army is grabbing information from somewhere and trying to trap the kingdom's strongest Kingsguard cavalry. Kovalski was wary of the possibility.

But Sarah immediately denies the possibility.

Probably not.

"... may I ask why?

"Woman's Question"

When I heard the answer, Kovalski flashed, but remembered that she had never missed a chance.

Sarah's idea of a woman was a combination of female-specific sensations and cavalry-specific sensations, the accuracy of which had become very high.

If the others heard this, they would mock it as "not theoretical". However, it is certain that this consideration of hers was theoretically a hit.

Assuming that beside Sarah, Emilia and Yuzef, her best friends, were present, there is no doubt that she would have answered the following:

"If the Imperial Army has noticed this operation in Silesia, they don't think of ambushing and destroying ambushes, etc., just stick one division to the border. If we do that, we'll see a difference in numbers from the Border Guard, because the ambushes will withdraw without a fight."

But I don't see the guards on the Raskino-Eastern Continental Empire border. This is arguably a good opportunity for night penetration.

"Kova. Return to the Lieutenant Colonel and report." Don't cross the border tonight, "he said. I'll keep watch here."

Copy that, sir.

hours after Kovalski's report.

The sun is completely diving across the horizon and disappearing. On behalf of that sun emerged from the eastern sky at about 17 months old. That month, to the extent that it was slightly missing from the full moon, emitted enough light to look nearby.

Sarah continued to monitor the border long after the sun set. As always, I don't see the Imperial Guard. Perhaps the best time to cross the border. If we miss this, a large number of guards might show up tomorrow. Fear the moon and night. She decided it would be foolish to miss the good opportunity to have fewer enemies.

"Captain, do you think we can make it?

If you noticed, Lieutenant Colonel Miesel was even close to her. Sarah didn't realize it, partly because she was focused on surveillance, but sometimes the foot sounds of horses wearing straw (strawberries) were reduced to the extreme.

"As far as I'm concerned, I think this is a great opportunity. Because of the low number of guards, I thought I didn't have to worry about my age."

"... ok. Let's believe your report."

Sarah gets up slowly when she hears that, and rides her own horse that Miesel brings. When Miesel confirmed everyone's ride, he ordered it in a small voice, but with a clear voice so that everyone could hear it.

"Now we start a cross-border operation. Make as much noise as you can."

The troops who heard it did not reply, but only shook their heads quietly and vertically.

June 10 at 10: 30 pm.

The Royal Silesian Army Kingsguard Cavalry ambush force quietly crossed the border.
