The capital Aeresund is a fortress.

Surrounded by high walls, this fortress city combines with the powerful navy held by the Principality to become just an invincible fortress.

But the presence of an invincible fortress often has what I would call a weakness. Aeresund cannot be an exception to that.

Its weakness is related to the fact that this Aeresund is the hub of maritime logistics.

In other words, the weakness of Aeresund is the port.

Naturally, you can't build something like a wall or a moat on the ocean. Even if it could be built vertically, it would only hinder the ship's movement and would literally be a fatal obstacle to Aeresund, which is thriving as a logistics hub.

There, what if the enemy comes in big numbers?

No one in this principality thought cheaply that the Navy would kick me before the enemy did that. For he knew that the navy alone could not have crushed all his enemies.

The country's basic strategy (Doctrine) is, first and foremost, to "intimidate" and "weaken" enemy forces by the navy, and to exterminate its weakened invading army, which benefits the land by walls and moats.

If so, the problem is the port district, where the walls cannot be physically erected.

To an invading army opponent, the Duchy Army does not reap the benefits of the land. And the principality, which is inferior to the virtual enemy empire of the eastern continent and Livonia, is naturally inferior to the army. In other words, the profit of numbers lies in the invading army.

Now I can't protect Aeresund.

The government of this country, several generations before it so concluded, decided to build a fortress for the defence of the port district.

The fortress, which was approved for construction, was immediately designed by some of the finest designers in the Principality. The fortress is characterized by the total absence of walls. Because, as I mentioned earlier, if there is a wall in the logistics hub, it is only in the way.

But there is a moat. And it was the moat that was the most advanced design at the time.

The ballistics of advanced sorcery of the Friends, as well as the invading routes of the invading armies, the sight of the enemies and the fire lines of sorcery, elaborately calculated and completed every element.

That is the stage of the Reconciliation Conference between the Kingdom of Silesia and the Empire of the Eastern Continent, which began on 20 April 638 of the Continental Calendar, the fortress with a moat that, from above, looks like a star, Fort Castelletto.

A fortified city with high walls, a powerful navy typical of the 130-Gate First Class Battleship, and a star-shaped fortress in Todome.

... so heartbreaking.

You see, gentlemen, this feeling of mine!

Cool + cool + cool = awesome cool! That's it!

I wanted to be born in this country......! And as cool a city as I'd like to think, Aeresund. But I'm sure that's mostly "hell if you live there". There will be a lot of worries for the locals. Just sightseeing.

Well, I don't have room to enjoy sightseeing or plan on moving in right now.

Fort Castelletto is going to battle this time. It is a battlefield, a diplomacy that does not exchange swords and does not shed blood.

The purpose of the Kingdom of Silesia at this meeting naturally lies in the conclusion of the Treaty of Reconciliation. But perhaps a treaty has been promised. Whether it's a silesia or an empire, we're not going to fight again at the moment.

So the biggest aim of this time is to make it a treaty in favour of the Emilian princess.

Specifically, the lawful repatriation to the Empire of prisoners tailored to operatives and intelligence agents, so that the enemy does not understand them.

And there is another purpose that we should not forget.

That is the help of His Highness Emilia. To convince His Highness Emilia skeptics that he is in the Ostomark Empire, I and Maya support him in the shadows. This is a place to impress His Highness as competent and useful to Ostmarc.

It's me, Mr. Maya and Mr. Feene who know what that's all about. It's not a story I can tell His Highness Emilia, and I was not sure I would tell Sarah, but I just said, "Be like a Kingsguard" because I have trouble getting Her Highness to talk inadvertently.

... Well, she told me while I was decopinned, "I know you don't have to tell me. Certainly not now.

The meeting will be held at exactly 15: 00 on 20 April.

But the meeting was preceded by a banquet inviting diplomatic missions from various countries. Here, diplomats from all over the country remember who they are, talk to them, and start a little negotiation as a prep.

It is a banquet, but negotiations have already begun.

His Majesty Franz and His Highness Emilia, as well as the Foreign Affairs Letter, are busily moving around the venue to talk to dignitaries from all over the country.

Accompanying His Highness Emilia are Sarah and Maya. They stand behind His Highness Emilia and follow His Highness.

And me and Mr. Feene's work...,

"There he is, a middle-aged man in a lofty military uniform. That is the Marquis Alexei Redigel, Imperial Minister of Military Affairs. Baron Angelm von Baumann, Ambassador Plenipotentiary of Livonia in the Principality."

"… Marquis Ladygel, the Imperial schemer, is the plenipotentiary ambassador of Livonia, who met shortly after the banquet was held? You stink."

"Yep. But from the look on Baron Baumann's face and tricks, the conversation is probably similar to the chatter."

"Well, there won't be any important stories in a place with these big eyes,"

Gathering information.

A dignitary of the Empire, where and with whom. And in the course of that conversation, what look do we have, drinking, gesturing, laughing, or looking serious? They are judged holistically to analogize the content of the conversation. I'm working on it.

... mainly by Fine, chief of the cadet school information department.

Somehow, I still think Mr. Feene is smart. Now, but I knew I could count on you in terms of information. Not only has information been exchanged, but information gathering and analytical skills have also increased recently.

"It's nothing big. Major will be ready soon."

I wish it was time to cure that low self-esteem. It's easy for me to say, but what she's doing right now isn't easy at all.

"What do you mean, Baron Baumann?

"I don't remember the details, but I did wonder if it was the son of the Duke of Zaifert, the current Speaker of the Livonia Senate...... three sons"

Duke of Zyfeld. It's the first surname I've heard in a long time. And I also remember that he was a pretty important person.

Mr. Feene... No, that's the name I came up with when I was exchanging information with my non-real girlfriend, Mr. Feena.

"Surely Sergei Romanov was a distant relative of the Duke of Zyfeld, wasn't he?

"Yes, Sergei's mother, Anike von Levy, is a relative of the Duke of Zaifert. I mean, that Baron Baumann and Sergei would call themselves distant relatives."

"I think it's a little too far..."

All humans say relatives, but noble societies are really frivolous and prone to kinship. For now Sergei has Livonia's blood. And because of that blood, the present emperor, Ivan VII, tried to eliminate him, he said.

Are Marquis Ladygel and they telling Baron Baumann how that happened?
