Continental Hero Senki

Battle of Ceres - Sandwich -

While the Tiberius army was unable to enter the offensive, the movement of the opposing Imperial Army was also cautious.

That was because we did not know the movements of the Christ Central Army Defense Corps stationed in Salonica and the fleet of friends who would be offshore.

The movement in that antagonistic state occurred the following October 1.

"Reported by the 87th Cavalry Scout." Salonica Defense Corps, set out. A total of approximately 8,000 ', that's it!

"... are you finally here"

The launch of the Salonica Defense Corps means a crisis of pinching for the Imperial Army. Together with the Salonica Guard and the Tiberius Army, their total strength will be 23,000 and beyond that of the Imperial Army.

Yet Major General Matheus, who received the report, did not move. I rather have the look on my face just saying I've been waiting for it.

But Sergeant Zeman, a messenger with no deep knowledge of the circumstances, attempts a conversation without being able to read Matheus' mind.

"I no longer have the chance to destroy each one. How do you do, my lord?"

"... I didn't expect it from the beginning, such as destroying each. It's a force to force a march like that."

"Huh. So, what are you going to do?

The actions of Matheus and LifeEisen, who do not destroy each and see the battlefield leading up to the glued state, are certainly puzzling. If the Tiberius army had noticed that, they must have prepared some sort of response.

Unfortunately, however, Commander Tiberius Anatolicon has just decided to leave the Central Army of the Second Reich of Christ. Under such circumstances, working well with the Salonica Defense Corps could not have been possible either.

A strange battle was waged here in Ceres, where both armies could not control the battlefield as they thought, and there was no noticeable battle.

Breaking that situation was the earlier report of the 87th Cavalry Scout and another.

"My lord. The enemy is on offense again. Left-wing brigade."

"... Okay, you're getting windy"

To Matheus' words, Zeman again puts a question mark over his head.

He had no idea how it would be advantageous for the Imperial Army to be attacked behind the enemy and attacked from the front enemy.

But I just asked Matheus that, and he's not an understandable Zeman. He is nothing more than a corporal, and tactical men are the gatekeepers.

He therefore decided not to ask Matheus for tactics, but to listen to Matheus' orders.

"My lord, what will you do?

"Let's just get the enemy reinforcements in place. Forward the division and flank the enemy left brigade from the right wing direction. You will retreat anyway, so focus on shredding enemy defenses by avoiding force and attacking from a distance."

Slightly sloppily, he gives a subordinate division a decree.

And the other commander of the Imperial Army, Major General LifeEisen, spit ill on Matheus for this action.

That doesn't mean Mattheus hit a bad hand. Rather, it was an order that could be called a stone.

The problem is that Matheus' actions in his hands have naturally been determined.

"What is it like to be pushed into trouble even though I am in charge..."

"But we'll have to do it"

His chief of staff also answers LifeEisen's sighing stupidity with his shoulders clasped.

"Ha... should I apprentice him too and push him into trouble? Per Brigadier General Leitmeyer."

"I thought I should stop. In this case, the responsibilities to be fulfilled by your division are enormous."

"... you're right"

LifeEisen, told by the Chief of Staff and once again deeply sighed, gives orders to the division under his command.

Says, take a defensive stance against the Salonica Defense Corps coming from the rear while covering the Matheus Division, is.

"If we lose this, let's put the blame on Matheus. I've just decided."

And then, without Matheus' knowledge, his duties increased.

---

When the Salonica Guards saw the back of the Imperial Army, they were probably convinced of the victory.

He said it was a great opportunity to pinch the enemy.

"All army assault, we'll stab the enemy in the back!

"" "Respond!

For them, who had reduced their troops to 8,000 after a long cage castle battle, this blackmail is exactly a chance to reverse one shot. Because if you win, you will survive, and you will have a name in the history and HR records of future generations as the Medal of War Giant.

As a result, morale was maintained to a certain extent even though what I said was replenishment and rest was not satisfactorily taken.

But with that morale, it didn't come true to break up the Imperial Army. It goes without saying that it was the gift of Major General LifeEisen's proper defensive command.

"The enemy is an oligarchy. If you keep destroying one man at a time with certainty and stirring up the formation, you're not afraid enough. Act orderly!

LifeEisen cared about the movement and placement of allies under sandwich, moving troops on a platoon by platoon basis to flexibly change defensive lines, organically and fluidly.

He carried out the minimum necessary battles in favor of his own army, and in favor of his own, he repeatedly attenuated the enemy's willingness to attack by defense or retreat, or by striking back at the gap of the offense, to ensure that it was destroyed.

The most active in this line of defense were neither cavalry nor sorcerer nor archer. It is merely an infantry.

They followed the commander's instructions faithfully and responded to a constantly moving line of defense. In the name of a first-line commander, they played a first-line defense battle.

"Morale and highly skilled troops are still good"

LifeEisen and the Commander of the Salonica Defense Corps must have thought so at about the same time.

The Imperial Army, which is building a tough defensive line even when it is sandwiched and continues to ignore attacks by the Christian Army in favor of the battlefield, and the Christian Army, or the Tiberius Army, whose limits are approaching about time for supply and morale.

It was six hours after the start of the pinch battle that they put an end to that fight.
