Abyssal Marsh.

A thousand li east of Xiaocang Island, above a vast, open expanse of water.

Fang Cheng and Ye Yan stood side by side in the empty sky.

"What do you think of this place?"

Fang Cheng glanced around and asked his beautiful wife.

Ye Yan’s lovely eyes surveyed the surroundings, and she nodded. "It’s not too far from Xiaocang Island, nor is it distant from Yinluo Island and the Immortal Pavilion. The location is perfect."

"Then we’ll settle it here."

Fang Cheng smiled. The Celestial Talisman Sect’s Mountain Moving Talisman was a rare, single-use Tier Three Talisman. Once used, moving the Primordial Qi Celestial Island again would be much more difficult.

Fortunately, the location was excellent—ideal for the Fang Family’s Ancestral Land.

Fang Cheng took out a brilliantly shining silver Talisman and channeled his Magical Power into it. The sky was instantly filled with a great silver light.

A startling spiritual light flashed, and the world seemed to lose its color. A blinding whiteness filled their vision before a gentle, water-like radiance spread out.

Then, a lush, verdant Floating Island appeared out of thin air in the sky.

The island hung like an inverted mountain, entirely emerald green. Ancient, flourishing trees covered it, and its lake, like a clear mirror, reflected the azure sky.

Auspicious light and propitious clouds drifted around the Floating Island, and an extremely dense Spiritual Qi rushed toward them, refreshing their spirits.

Fang Cheng and Ye Yan landed on the island. They took out the Third-tier Defense Array they had purchased at the Celestial Traveling Immortal Pavilion, set it up in a hidden location, then connected it to the Spirit Vein and activated the Grand Array.

A vast Profound Light appeared in the sky, like a giant hollow sphere, enclosing the massive, three-hundred-li-wide Floating Island within.

Within the Abyssal Marsh, many Cultivators sensed the anomaly, assuming a rare treasure had appeared.

Some Life Talisman Cultivators who were confident in their Cultivation even rushed over in their Escape Lights, hoping to seize the opportunity.

But when they saw the enormous Floating Island that had appeared out of nowhere a hundred zhang above the marsh, they were all too stunned to speak.

A Spiritual Land of this caliber was comparable to the islands occupied by the four great families, and perhaps even surpassed them!

Furthermore, the powerful Defense Array that appeared on the island made it clear it already had an owner.

Horrified, the crowd began to speculate about the island’s origin.

To move such a massive Floating Island out of thin air... such a feat was simply unheard of. ’Even a Life Soul Cultivator would likely find it impossible,’ they thought.

Soon, word of this spectacle spread throughout the Abyssal Marsh. Many Cultivators came to witness and admire it, sighing in amazement.

Not long after, Cultivators from the Ye Family passed through the Island Defense Array. Pavilions, towers, palaces, and grand halls began to rise up from the ground across the island.

Following the design in her heart, Ye Yan carved out numerous Cave Mansions and, adapting to the terrain, constructed many Jade Tower Palaces on top of the Primordial Qi Celestial Island’s original landscape.

Lu Wei, Mu Xuanyu, Dong Qing, Die’Er, and the other women also came over from Demon Lion Peak to help Ye Yan arrange and decorate their new home in the center of the Celestial Island.

Only then did the onlookers outside the island realize that this was the handiwork of Fang Cheng, the new Peak Master of Demon Lion Peak!

The Ye Family Cultivators not only helped Fang Cheng carve out Cave Mansions and construct various buildings, but they also created many Spirit Fields on the Celestial Island, planting all kinds of Spirit Plants and Spiritual Medicines.

Ye Yan also moved the Pocket World Spiritual Building from Demon Lion Peak and placed it on the island, allowing the Immortal Birds and Spiritual Beasts within the Spiritual Building to come and go as they pleased, adding much vitality and life to the Celestial Island.

One day, a woman arrived outside the Primordial Qi Celestial Island.

She had a stunning figure and an exquisite face, with a natural coquettishness in her brow that made her incredibly alluring.

She possessed an Early-stage Life Talisman Cultivation. Her robes fluttered around her, and with an extraordinary air, she sent a formal request flying toward the island, only to be blocked by the Island Defense Array.

Before long, a young girl in a yellow dress, riding a snow-white Immortal Crane, flew over to ask her purpose.

The woman introduced herself as an Elder from the Flame God Palace named Bai Su Yi, an old acquaintance of Demon Lion Peak’s Peak Master, and wished to pay a visit to Fang Cheng.

The yellow-dressed girl, Liu Miaoyin, took the request, said, "Please wait a moment," and turned to fly toward the center of the Celestial Island.

A short while later, Liu Miaoyin returned. She took out a Jade Ruyi, opened a gateway in the Island Defense Array, and invited Bai Su Yi inside.

"The Master has asked me to bring you to him."

Liu Miaoyin said politely, her curious gaze sizing up Bai Su Yi.

Bai Su Yi smiled gently and replied in a soft voice, "Then please lead the way, miss."

One behind the other, the two arrived before a grove of ancient trees and flowering plants in the center of the island.

A road, dozens of zhang wide and as clear as crystal, stretched forward for several li.

Both sides of the road were lined with towering flowering trees. They had emerald trunks, silver branches, and blossoms and leaves like jade. A riot of purples, reds, greens, and whites filled the air. The blooms were as large as bowls, exhaling a rich fragrance that formed a continuous, fragrant light along the path.

The two walked along the road and soon reached its end.

Before them lay a placid lake, its clear waters like a mirror, remarkably pure and deep. Circling the lake were numerous magnificent golden and jade-green towers.

In the middle of the lake was another grove. The trees were not very tall, only about two zhang high, but their branches were extremely long, winding and stretching in all directions. Gnarled boughs drooped to the ground, took root again, and sent up new shoots, twisting and coiling into a tangled mass.

The trees had flowers but no leaves, covered from top to bottom in dense blossoms shaped like those of peach and plum trees. They formed a sea of flowers, like a rosy cloud, set in the center of the turquoise water.

Bai Su Yi focused her gaze and was shocked to discover that this entire grove was formed by a single flowering tree, covering an area of more than ten mu.

In the midst of this sea of flowers stood an extremely tall and magnificent palace.

The palace was ten zhang high, with jade pillars, golden halls, jasper steps, and emerald railings, all shimmering with a dazzling, jeweled brilliance.

Above the main entrance hung a giant plaque on which two words were calligraphed in a flamboyant style: Yongchang Hall.

Before the hall was a white jade platform, about a zhang high, which was particularly magnificent.

The flowering trees and the lake’s surface below complemented each other beautifully.

Led by Liu Miaoyin, Bai Su Yi arrived before the palace and saw a couplet hanging on the two jade pillars flanking the main entrance:

Our Dao continues in the Abyssal Marsh; may gathered stars bring prosperity to future generations.

Our virtue neighbors the Great Marsh; may our influence cultivate all clans and revitalize our heritage.

Walking into the grand hall, she saw a man sitting leisurely in the center. He wore a Feather Robe and Star Crown, looking exceptionally handsome and elegant, like an immortal descended to the mortal world.

It was Fang Cheng, whom she had not seen in many years.

Back then, in the ruins of the Myriad Phenomena Immortal Sect, they had both been Late-stage Sensing Cultivators.

Now, so many years later, both their statuses had changed dramatically, giving her a sense that while the world remained, the people in it were different.

’Remembering the unforgettable experience this man gave me back then...’ A flood of mixed emotions washed over her.

Now, he was a Late-stage Life Talisman Cultivator with unfathomable strength. None of the Flame God Palace’s "Earth-rank" Elders were his match, and he had even single-handedly held off a Celestial Elder not long ago!

Bai Su Yi curtsied gracefully, her voice soft and pleasant. "Bai Su Yi of the Flame God Palace greets Fellow Daoist Fang."

"Fellow Daoist Bai, it’s been a while. Please, have a seat," Fang Cheng said with a smile.

At the side, the Maid Liu Miaoyin brewed a pot of Spirit Tea, served it to Bai Su Yi, and then quietly exited the grand hall.

Bai Su Yi knelt on the jade mat, a complex look in her beautiful eyes.

"Fellow Daoist, what brings you here today?" Fang Cheng asked, getting straight to the point after sizing up the naturally seductive woman before him.

’This woman was once my defeated opponent. I borrowed her Primordial Yin to restore my Cultivation and Magical Power, and we had a one-night affair. I still remember how she did her utmost to curry favor and please me, her utterly suppressed moans sounding like soft sobs, truly enchanting.’

Bai Su Yi blinked her lovely eyes, took out a gift list, and handed it to Fang Cheng. "I have come on the orders of our Palace Master. I wish to ask for your help in mediating the conflict between your esteemed sect and mine. Xu Tianci is already dead. The past should be put behind us."

Fang Cheng took the gift list and glanced at it, his eyebrows raising slightly in surprise.

The gift list enumerated sixteen types of gifts:

Six jin and seven taels of Geng Metal Profound Silkworm Threads

Nineteen Dao Pattern Spirit Jade ornaments

Thirty Sensing Realm maids

Ten Life Talisman Realm concubines

Eighty-eight Tier Two Immortal Puppets

Two Third-tier Magical Artifacts

One Celestial Book Ancient Scroll

...

Fang Cheng set the list aside, his burning gaze fixed on Bai Su Yi, and asked a completely unrelated question:

"Fellow Daoist Bai, how have you suppressed your Heart Demon all these years?"

Bai Su Yi’s pretty face flushed slightly as she slowly said, "I have been using the Fire Cauldron Secret Technique from the ’Record of Profound Fire’ to refine the demon. Although my Cultivation has been slow, it has been steady. I finally condensed my Life Talisman two years ago."

Fang Cheng nodded. "I see. I can tell that the Heart Demon within you is suppressed, but not eradicated. I thought some expert must have helped you resolve it."

An idea sparked in Bai Su Yi’s mind. Upon hearing his words, she said softly, "Seeing you again today, Fellow Daoist, has caused my Heart Demon to stir. I must ask you to help me resolve it."

As she spoke, she rose and walked toward Fang Cheng.

"Sigh. Why must you do this?" Fang Cheng sighed softly, his gaze softening as he watched the Jade Person whose robes fell to the floor as she walked.

Bai Su Yi’s voice was light and bewitching. "I ask that you, Fellow Daoist, for the sake of our past connection, be generous and show me some pity. I would be endlessly grateful."
