Chapter 963 - 1006: Marry Me!
Upon hearing this, Huo Junmo’s brow barely furrowed, and after a brief moment of contemplation, he nodded, "Let her come up!"
"Yes!" Meng Bo nodded, returned to his office, picked up the phone and told the receptionist, "Let her come up!"
"Yes!" The receptionist received the order, hung up the phone, and went to the reception area, giving Ling Yueyue a sweet smile, "Miss Ling, our CEO invites you upstairs!"
"Thank you!" Ling Yueyue returned the smile politely and, led by the receptionist, walked to the elevator.
Because there was no instruction from Huo Junmo, Ling Yueyue didn’t take the CEO’s exclusive elevator but instead took the regular staff elevator to the top floor.
Once off the elevator, Ye Anxin looked around briefly, found Huo Junmo’s CEO office, and walked directly over.
The secretary responsible for reception outside the CEO’s office, Li Na, saw Ling Yueyue coming over, quickly stood up from behind the desk, walked up, and asked with a smile, "Are you Miss Ling?"
Ling Yueyue nodded, "I am!"
"Please follow me! The CEO is waiting inside!" she said, gesturing invitingly and leading Ling Yueyue to the office door, gently knocking twice.
"Come in!" As soon as Huo Junmo’s voice fell, Li Na opened the door, respectfully and politely said, "CEO, Miss Ling has arrived!"
Embedded in work, without looking up, Huo Junmo said, "Let her come in!"
"Yes!" Li Na nodded, turned to Ling Yueyue, and said, "The CEO invites you in!" then stepped aside to make way for Ling Yueyue.
Ling Yueyue walked in and sat down on the chair opposite Huo Junmo’s desk.
Once Ling Yueyue was seated, Li Na asked, "Miss Ling, would you like coffee or milk tea?"
Ling Yueyue unconsciously touched her belly and laughed, "Just a cup of warm water is fine, thank you!"
"Alright! Please wait a moment!" Li Na nodded, turned, and left the CEO’s office.
Only after Li Na left and the door was closed did Huo Junmo look up from the mountain of documents, glance at Ling Yueyue with a gentle smile, "Miss Ling, may I ask what brings you to see me today? Was it Miss Ye who sent you?"
Looking at the mature, composed, elegant handsome man in front of her, Ling Yueyue’s heart couldn’t help but race.
Thinking back, she’s only seen him three times! The first time was at school when Huo Junmo delivered textbooks to her close friend Ye Anxin!
The second time was that morning, waking up at the hotel.
The third time was at the birthday party for her friend Ye Anxin’s mother, and Ye’s father invited Huo Junmo over! It was on that day she found out that her best friend had been married to Mu Beiting.
She and Huo Junmo were no more than ordinary acquaintances.
Initially, she thought Huo Junmo was interested in Anxin! But after observing for over a month, she didn’t see Huo Junmo take any action! Plus, her best friend was married already, so it seemed Huo Junmo had no chance!
It was exactly because of this that she dared to appear here today; no matter what, she had to fight for the baby in her belly!
She didn’t want to abort the child, nor did she want the child to grow up in a single-parent family. So that’s why she came to see Huo Junmo today!
Though she’d mentally prepared herself, seeing Huo Junmo immediately made her feel nervous, her palms sweating uncontrollably.
Seeing Ling Yueyue just sitting and not speaking, Huo Junmo asked patiently again, "Miss Ling, may I ask what brings you to see me today?"
Ling Yueyue snapped back to reality, closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and when she opened them again to look at Huo Junmo, there was a determined gleam in her eyes.
Ling Yueyue looked at Huo Junmo, gritted her teeth silently, gathered her courage, and asked, "Mr. Huo, I want to marry you; can you marry me?"
Ling Yueyue’s sudden words clearly stunned Huo Junmo for a moment, causing him to not react immediately.
Seeing Huo Junmo not answering, Ling Yueyue felt even more nervous. But having come this far, she wasn’t planning to leave easily, so after giving herself a pep talk, she gathered her courage and spoke again, "I said, I want to marry you, can you marry me?"
Huo Junmo stared unwaveringly into Ling Yueyue’s eyes for a long time; the gleam in his eyes shifting, pondering something, he slowly curved his thin lips into a shallow smile and calmly uttered, "Yes!"
Upon hearing this answer, it was Ling Yueyue’s turn to be caught off guard.
She stared incredulously at the outstanding, handsome man before her, never imagining he would agree to marry her without asking anything!
She thought she would need to use many words to persuade him!
At this moment, Li Na gently knocked twice on the office door, then pushed it open, placed the warm water in front of Ling Yueyue, and left again.
"Did I hear wrong? Or am I hallucinating?" As if not noticing Li Na entering, Ling Yueyue stared blankly at Huo Junmo, then pinched her arm hard!

Realizing she almost slipped, Ling Yueyue quickly changed her tone, smiling sweetly, "I’m not worried about the marriage delaying your business, so we can keep it simple, just getting the certificate and holding a simple wedding is fine! I’m not a person with high demands like other women, chasing after romantic, grand, luxurious things! I prefer simplicity!"
"...!" Watching her lips open and close rapidly, Huo Junmo said nothing, just smilingly gazed at her, contemplating something.
Seeing him not speak, Ling Yueyue thought she had scared him, hastily added, "If you’re really too busy, skipping the wedding is fine, just getting the certificate will do! My requirement is already very low, you shouldn’t have any objections, right?"
Upon saying this, she blinked her big, bright eyes nervously at Huo Junmo, afraid his sudden change of heart would make him decide against marrying her.
