But now, his daily income often reaches several million, even tens of millions, and during peak periods can reach several tens of millions.

Such spending is now so negligible in his eyes that it can be completely ignored.

It barely even feels like "spending" anymore.

It feels more like an effortless, thoughtless action.

He calmly scanned to pay, as if spending was not over 300 yuan, but just 3 yuan.

Carrying a plastic bag filled with items, Jiang Tao and Jia Guolin walked out of the supermarket one behind the other.

Outside the supermarket by the side, there was a row of stalls selling local specialty products, crafts, and snacks, which attracted a lot of tourists to stop by.

Jiang Tao was preparing to walk directly towards the parking lot when suddenly a figure nervously yet excitedly blocked his way.

"Excuse me... are you God Jiang? Oh my! It’s really you!"

Jiang Tao stopped upon hearing this and looked at the person speaking.

It was a young girl who looked in her early twenties, not tall, dressed in a simple white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Her jet-black hair was tied into a neat ponytail, and she wore black-framed glasses, making her look quiet and reserved.

The girl’s eyes were wide open, her face flushed with excitement, her hands nervously clasped in front of her, her eyes full of disbelief and joy.

Jiang Tao was slightly startled, then he gave a polite and gentle smile:

"Hello, I am Jiang Tao."

Jiang Tao now had gradually become accustomed to being recognized by passersby.

After all, by now, he could be considered a major influencer with tens of millions of fans.

And those over ten million fans are genuine followers.

Unlike certain influencers with millions whose actual fan count doesn’t reach a million.

Considering how much time and intensity people spend on their phones nowadays, it would be strange if nobody recognized him while walking on the street.

"Wow! It really is God Jiang! I finally get to see you in person!"

The girl was so excited she almost jumped, but quickly she composed herself, behaving with much decorum and not making any rash moves.

"I... I’m so excited! God Jiang, I am your original die-hard fan!"

"I’ve been following you since you first started posting your running videos on FastShake!"

"I saw when you subdued the knife-wielding robber in the supermarket and again at the golf course yesterday!"

"God Jiang, you are amazing, you are my idol!"

The girl spoke quickly, as if trying to pour out all her admiration in one breath.

"Thank you for your attention and support."

Jiang Tao smiled in response, his attitude sincere.

He could feel that this girl’s enthusiasm was genuine, unlike those with ulterior motives.

"Ah, God Jiang, my name is Bao Weiwei!"

The girl introduced herself and then pointed to a nearby stall not far away:

"My family rented a stall in this service area, selling some handmade crafts and small souvenirs."

Jiang Tao followed her gaze; the stall was neat and tidy.

On the stall were local specialty items such as woven hangings, small wooden carvings, and cloisonné bracelets.

Bao Weiwei looked at Jiang Tao, eyes filled with anticipation, with a touch of earnestness as she said:

"God Jiang, it’s such a joy to meet you! I want to give you a small gift to express my feelings!"

"However, I don’t really know what you like. Could you pick something instead? Just to keep as a memento!"

Bao Weiwei’s tone was very sincere, not sounding like mere politeness, and her eyes were full of genuine sincerity.

Jiang Tao looked at the stall, then at the expectant girl before him, feeling a bit emotional.

From the clothes and shoes Bao Weiwei wore, he could also tell that her family likely wasn’t exceptionally wealthy, and making a living with a stall in a service area wasn’t easy.

"Bao Weiwei, right? Thank you for your kind gesture; I really appreciate it."

"But there’s no need for a gift, it’s not easy for you making money from a stall."

"Besides, I am on the road and it’s not convenient to carry too many things."

Jiang Tao politely declined Bao Weiwei’s request to give him a gift, as he felt accepting without merit was inappropriate.

He wasn’t someone who liked taking small advantages either.

Bao Weiwei felt a hint of disappointment when Jiang Tao refused, but quickly she rallied.

She appeared undeterred, blinked, and changed her request:

"Then, God Jiang, may I add you on WeChat?"

Bao Weiwei looked at Jiang Tao with hopeful eyes:

"I’m also a running enthusiast, with three years of running experience. My greatest desire is to run a marathon in under 3 hours and become an elite runner."

"God Jiang, you’re so good at running, could I seek your advice on running techniques in the future?"

Bao Weiwei’s eyes were clear and sincere, and her reason for wanting to add him as a friend sounded reasonable.

Faced with such a dream-driven, sincerely modest girl, Jiang Tao really couldn’t refuse again.

Adding someone on WeChat was no harm to him, and if he could casually give some pointers to help her fulfill a dream, it would be a good deed.

"Alright." Jiang Tao smiled and took out his phone: "I only have some personal insights on running, may not be entirely correct, but we can share in the future."

"Great! Thank you, God Jiang!"

Bao Weiwei was thrilled, quickly fetching her own phone, and the two exchanged WeChat contacts.

After adding WeChat, Bao Weiwei seemed content and didn’t pester further, thoughtfully saying:

"God Jiang, have a safe journey! I won’t disturb you anymore! If I have any running questions, I’ll ask you on WeChat!"

"Alright, no problem. You too, keep it up, I hope you achieve your goal soon."

Jiang Tao smiled encouragingly and prepared to leave with Jia Guolin who was waiting by.

Seeing this, Bao Weiwei hurriedly spoke: "Uh, God Jiang, could we take a photo together?"

"Certainly, come on, just give your phone to Old Jia to help us take a picture."

Faced with Bao Weiwei’s small request, Jiang Tao didn’t refuse, smilingly beckoning her over.

"Alright! Thank you, God Jiang, and thank you, sir, for the trouble."

Bao Weiwei eagerly unlocked her phone and handed it to Jia Guolin, who was carrying bags of fruits and nuts.

"You’re welcome."

Jia Guolin took Bao Weiwei’s phone and aimed its camera at Jiang Tao and her.

Looking at Jiang Tao’s handsome face, Bao Weiwei shyly asked:

"God Jiang, may I, um, hold your arm?"

"Uh, sure."

Jiang Tao lifted his arm generously.

"Thank you."

Bao Weiwei blushingly expressed gratitude and excitedly held onto Jiang Tao’s raised right arm, looking into the phone’s camera.

Click, click, click~

Jia Guolin pressed the photo button several times, taking over a dozen photos before returning the phone to Bao Weiwei.

"Thank you, God Jiang, thank you, sir ~ for the trouble."

Bao Weiwei looked at the photo album on her phone and although several photos were of her with eyes closed, she was reluctant to delete them.

"You’re welcome. A chance meeting is a destiny; it was nice to meet you. Until we meet again."

Jiang Tao waved goodbye to Bao Weiwei, turned, and walked towards the parking lot with Jia Guolin.

This little episode at the B State Service Area was like a gentle breeze during a highway journey, brief yet delightful.

The last time he came, Jiang Tao was just an unknown regular person.

A month or two later, he had become a major influencer with over ten million followers.

Back in the car, Jia Guolin started the engine, and the vehicle once again merged into the traffic on Jingkun Expressway, speeding towards Ping County.

Jiang Tao handed a Red Bull to Old Jia, while he opened a pack of Huazi cigarettes and lit one up.

Watching the fields and villages quickly retreating outside the window, Jiang Tao felt a sense of time lapse and distance.

Last year every time he returned home he spent 150 yuan to carpool with fellow villagers, cramped in the backseat, finding it hard to move.

Now, sitting alone in the spacious backseat of a Mercedes G-Wagon, with his own driver.

Life is indeed getting better!
