Demi-human Girls Completion Manual

It looked like a memorial that the Demi-human girl control wrote for Master Tao after the Elves perished, only there seemed to be two suspicious points in it, whose meaning Fisher could not understand.

First was the last sentence; he couldn’t tell whether the Demi-human girl control was hinting that Master Tao had not died, because as early as the second sentence she had already stated that Master Tao was dead. As for that so-called "peach blossom blooming deep beneath the buried snow and ice," there were far too many things it could stand for.

It might be some relics left behind by Master Tao, or it might be some Trace recording Master Tao’s deeds, something that would help certain living creatures who read those deeds to accomplish certain things.

The second suspicious point was that, in the first sentence, the Demi-human girl control described Master Tao as a "treasure." Having read the Life Completion Manual, he now felt a bit sensitive to this term, and could not tell whether the Demi-human girl control was just offering normal praise here or hinting at something deeper.

He frowned and pondered for a moment, but also felt his suspicion was not without basis, because Master Tao had, in the end, read the Life Completion Manual and obtained a massive amount of life chaos, to the point that he had already entered the mad Demigod stage, and during the Mythical War he had been protecting the Elf Species all along.

If the Demi-human girl control understood the relationship between Master Tao and the Life Completion Manual, then this reference here should not be accidental. That would mean that Master Tao’s body carried clues to the treasure, and that now the clue to the "last peach blossom" might lie in the Northern Realm—after all, when it came to a place like "deep beneath the buried snow and ice," only the Northern Realm really fit the description.

Fisher let out a breath; having found a new clue, he could not help feeling a flicker of delight in his heart.

The key was, if the treasure’s clues were related to the Northern Realm, he might not even need to go there himself. He still had the resource of Valentina and the Slime, which could save him a great deal of effort when he went to Nali, allowing him to focus on handling the matter of Elizabeth and Nali.

It seemed that this function of the Demi-human Girls Completion Manual was not entirely useless either.

He hurriedly put down the Completion Manual in his hand and looked toward the Keken merchant ship anchored outside the window, itching to go right now and have the Slimes help him search for clues related to "Master Tao" and the "treasure."

Behind him, Emhardt—who had been lying around like a corpse for ages—saw him peering at the merchant ship outside and reminded him,

"We’re leaving the day after tomorrow. Before we go, shouldn’t you make a trip back to the Demon Dynasty?"

Fisher raised his brows and turned back to look at him suspiciously,

"Have you... been shocked stupid by me? You’re actually the one suggesting I go bid farewell to Helair before we leave?"

"Who told you to go say goodbye to her?! Pah, pah, pah!"

At these words, Emhardt shot up into the air and retorted,

"I’m telling you to go check on her situation, and preferably make sure she is really, one hundred percent, absolutely and inevitably Sealing within the Demon Dynasty! I don’t want her just pretending to be sealed in there, and then later when we go to Nali and run into some weird incidents we can’t even suspect her because of that Sealing!! When the time comes, if I say ’it’s all Paimon’s fault,’ you’re going to say I’m paranoid again, aren’t you!!?"

"When did I ever say you were paranoid?"

"You were obviously thinking that all along before! If you don’t get a taste of Paimon’s tricks you’ll never know how terrifying she is—you’re being toyed with in the palm of her hand and still thanking her for it!"

While silently memorizing the Chinese translation written in the Completion Manual, Fisher took out the Death Completion Manual—his current reading material—and simply shook his head and said,

"I will go back to the Demon Dynasty once before leaving. I really do intend to bid farewell to Elliog and Helair... but at the same time, I will also confirm Helair’s condition. Now that her plan has failed and extinction has already begun, this path I’ve chosen is the only one left to take."

"Right, that’s how it should be. Best if we can be a hundred percent sure she’ll never get out again... I don’t want to be in Nali or some other place and have to suspect this person or that person might be Paimon. Good heavens, just thinking about it gives me the chills."

Emhardt muttered as he hopped onto Fisher’s shoulder.

Fisher, meanwhile, unfolded the Death Completion Manual in his hands. On the title page was still a line of Otherworld text Fisher did not recognize; only because it appeared in a Completion Manual could Fisher discern its precise meaning,

"This Manual will teach you the mysteries of escaping Death."

When he first began reading this book, Fisher realized it was a Completion Manual steeped in a very strong religious flavor, because the Contributor of this Completion Manual began by describing a very bizarre scene, and did so through a real story from his own world.

The author was a Human named "Abraham." Aside from this name and the large number of eulogy prayers recorded in the text, Fisher did not find any further narration about the author himself. The rest of the extensive writing used one parable after another to explain the principles he wished to express and to transmit the knowledge contained within.

Abraham said that Life had three vague levels, namely animal, wisdom, and God.

The first level, animals, was simple. They followed their own instincts, never having bathed in the care of God. Such forms of Life were the most numerous under the Sky. They were animals without wisdom, and thus were led and used by beings with wisdom.

The second level of Life, as its name implied, possessed precious wisdom. They had a soul, could be instructed by God, and though what they knew might not be much, they were able to recognize and distinguish the world around them.

The third level of Life was higher even than wisdom; the wisdom it possessed was beyond imagination, and the power it possessed was likewise beyond imagination. Even though it, too, had an end, that end lay outside the realm of what wisdom could comprehend.

Given this premise, if the "Life" of living creatures had levels, did their "Death" also have levels?

Yes, it did. But unlike the clearly stratified Life, their Death was both differentiated and unified.

For animals, their Death was subtle; when Death descended, everything about them turned to dust, coming to a halt at the moment of Death. But for wisdom, their Death did not mean complete stillness, because their wisdom and their soul were independent of Death, so after Death they would still leave residues behind.

As for the Death of God, their Death did not signify Death at all, because their wisdom was so powerful it would not vanish or change, and their power was so great that Death could not erase it. It could even link back to the moment of their birth; this was the highest tier of Death.

Though Death differed from one to another, it still had a unifying aspect. To read this Completion Manual was to pursue the commonalities of the three forms of Death, to use one’s own "wisdom" to trace the origins of the distinctions and unities among the three Deaths, until merging them into one, becoming what Abraham ultimately called the "Trinity of Death," also known as the "Death Trinity."

There were many paths leading toward the exploration of the highest level; "Death" was one such path.

When you finally attain perfection and become the "Death Trinity," that also means you have fully achieved the "Death of God," becoming an existence that never perishes.

From the standpoint of "wisdom," whether you bend down to peer into the Death of Animals, or look up to seek the Death of God, both are, in a sense, an irrational act of blasphemy. Such a pursuit is bound to become unclean; it will cause the original Death to warp and transform in the process of your pursuit of the ultimate "Death Trinity"...

And it is within this context that the Death Completion Manual is divided into three parts: the three Chapters of "Death of Animals," "Death of Wisdom," and "Death of God."

Reading the first part requires manufacturing a large number of animal deaths, in order to fully master the demise of those below yourself.

Reading the second part requires manufacturing a large number of wisdom deaths, in order to overturn your own original end.

Reading the third part requires witnessing the Death of God, in order to glimpse the truth of God’s end.

Once this Completion Manual has been read in its entirety, the "Death Trinity" will bloom within the body of the reader.
