Chapter 981 - 431: Nine Infant Witch Puppet
After the Dataless transformation, Chu Xiu’s utilization of equipment power was no longer confined to the limitations of Level.
In the original unified Datafication, all powers were standardized, allowing even Low Tier Awakened to use High Tier Equipment, but the power would be suppressed to their current Level.
However, this is actually very counterintuitive, like using a matchstick to drive a sports car, just running slower.
But in the real world, corresponding Equipment must have the corresponding Level of power to be driven, just like without sufficient electricity, a supercomputer can’t even boot up, instead of just running slowly.
Achieving all this against common sense, leveling the characteristics of different types of powers, integrating them into a unity, this is the ability of Datafication.
For most Awakened, this allows them to use High Tier Artifacts early on, which is undoubtedly beneficial, but for Chu Xiu, it was purely a limitation.
After all, he reached Strong Demigod Basic Attributes at King Tier.
And now, after the Dataless transformation, he no longer needs to be bound by Level, and can drive directly utilizing the formidable power of his Fighting Spirit, unleashing the original power of all Equipment.
But this... is still far from enough!
Because his opponents are at least of Strong Demigod or Perfect Demigod caliber, and potentially facing unexpected crises.
If he merely drives the Equipment without corresponding Divine Techniques battle power, then the augmentation to his combat power is very limited.
There’s no way, the Star Core locks all the power of his physical body.
If he could utilize the power within the Star Core, forget Perfect Demigod, Chu Xiu guesses that even ordinary Peak Demigods wouldn’t be his match!
For Chu Xiu, this is like having a huge treasure but no key to unlock it.
Currently, Chu Xiu plans to use the last twenty days to exhaustively enhance his power. Naturally, he won’t accept the current state of his body and refrain from thinking about ways to mobilize this massive treasure; it’s simply not his character.

Direct Core Formation is far too time-consuming for him, and he’s not confident, but there’s another rerouted method...
Chu Xiu’s gaze shifted to an Artifact in the Inheritance Hall, with a high refining rate from the Duo Bao Demon Venerable heritage.
Nine Infant Witch Puppet
Grade: Middle Grade Artifact
Effect: Used to store and augment cultivator power, core connected to cultivator Divine Soul, key moments can block attacks for the controller.
This is a strangely shaped puppet; it looks like a fat human torso, but eerily, nine crying infant heads protrude from different parts of the puppet’s body, resembling large tumors.
The crying expressions of the infants make one’s spine chill, as these expressions are not just crying but are accompanied by an unspeakable malice and Yin Soul.
"The Nine Infant Witch Puppet is refined by using one’s Essence Blood as a lead, combined with special techniques to forge nine Ghost Infants, and then merging these Ghost Infants with one’s flesh and blood, jointly nurturing the evil entity."
"Ghost Infants have weak consciousness, making them particularly easy to control, and due to same-source bloodline, they enable the Witch Puppet to effectively store the owner’s power..."
Indeed, the current body of Chu Xiu possesses potent Constitution and Life Energy, but in combat at the Perfect Demi-God Level it basically serves not much purpose, merely allowing him to withstand more damage.
Rather than this, he might as well use it as raw material for refining an Artifact!
Such high Basic Attributes would considerably raise the Tier of the refined Witch Puppet, surely beyond a Middle Grade Artifact!
According to Chu Xiu’s current experience and estimates, Middle Grade Artifacts are roughly equivalent to Demigod Legend to Heroic Spirit Myth, which Chu Xiu finds lacking!
Once the Nine Infant Witch Puppet is successfully refined, it can store Chu Xiu’s power!
Right now, every bit of power Chu Xiu recovers is immediately devoured by the Star Core, used to enhance the progress of Core Formation.
But the matter of Core Formation remains remote, and no one knows when the Star Core will absorb enough Energy for the next qualitative change!
But if he has the Nine Infant Witch Puppet, Chu Xiu can store power within it, directly borrowing it when needed, briefly recreating his peak combat power!
Before Dataless, the Heroic Spirit Level Chiwen plus Star Ring Pulse Fist Armor, under the augmentation of Divine-Demonic Power and Artifact Origin, could explode with power beyond Perfect Demigod, approaching Peak Demigod strength!
Chu Xiu is very curious, now after Dataless, unrestrained Demigod Chiwen and fist armor, if augmented by these two forces, how much the potency could further soar!
"Wonder if it could rival a Celestial King!"
Chu Xiu expects eagerly.
Of course, all this relies on the refines Nine Infant Witch Puppet being high Tier!
Simultaneously driving two Demigod Mythical Equipment, the required Divine-Demonic Power and Artifact Origin would be astronomical!
"Forget Middle Grade Artifact, even Upper Grade Artifact might not suffice; it must at least be a Top Grade Artifact..."
Chu Xiu rubbed his chin.
Actually, there’s an advanced version of the Nine Infant Witch Puppet, called Nine Infant Divine Puppet, undoubtedly of Spirit Treasure Quality, but Chu Xiu isn’t even aware of what Tier it’s called in the Abyss.
However, crafting the Nine Infant Divine Puppet requires far too demanding conditions, not merely nine Ghost Infants, but nine cultivator Nascent Souls...
