Chapter 113: Broken, Yet In Heat
A sharp howl tore through the dark crystal sky while the night birds burst into the air, flapping their wings harshly.
Wet leaves drifted between Saintess Lilith and Clara Fontaine. "HOW? WHY? WHEN?"
Hot beads of sweat rolled on Clara’s forehead as she turned a sharp glance toward Lyra Ashveil.
Strands of silver hair waved at the top of Lyra’s breast during her sigh. "He’s now in Neverland."
Hot gasps blasted out from Mabel and the five patrolling guards the instant the words looped in their ears.
Mabel brushed the backs of her palms, casting blank glances at the Saintess and the Senior Battle Mage. ’Neverland is not a place that a man can survive.’
Her breasts bounced on her chest as she turned and blinked at Clara’s sudden collapse. ’Did she allow him...’
A huge glob of saliva trickled down her throat when Clara looked straight into Mabel’s eyes.
"Mabel, what you said is right."
The hems of her sparkling silver combat suit clicked against the ground while she crouched down on one knee. "I’m exhausted and really need rest."
Dust puffed upward as the white horse snorted and slammed its left front hoof on the ground. PAH! PAH!
One of the five guards with long, dark blue hair walked to the white-furred horse’s side. "Let me take you to your den."
She brushed her slender palm on the horse’s body before gripping the guide rope wrapped around its neck.
Three of the five guards closed in behind Mabel while a short, blue-black-haired guard walked to the black horse and led it along, following the direction the white horse was being taken.
Faint bone creaks lingered around Clara as she clenched her chin and squeezed her hands into fists. ’I have to find a way to get him out of Neverland.’
Sweet-scented air flew into her lungs upon Saintess Lilith closing in on her. "Clara..."
The hem of the white prayer gown flipped against Clara’s forehead as Saintess Lilith placed a heavy hand on her shoulder. "We are doing what we can to get him out."
Saintess Lilith squinted at Clara’s burst of anger, then slowly removed her arm. ’Does she know how much we all want him here right now?’
She sighed in disbelief, shaking her head calmly.
Sharp glows flared out of Clara’s amber eyes while her gaze shot upward to lock with Saintess Lilith’s. "What can you do to get him out?"
A wave of stormy air blasted out from Clara’s side, pushing her upright. "Is that all you can say, Saintess Lilith!"
Mabel and the three guards stumbled backward as Clara’s silver combat suit began burning with heat.
The cape behind Lyra’s moonlight lewd combat suit swept across the floor during her forward step. "Clara!"
Her eyes blazed, but she kept a wide smile on her lips while standing between Saintess Lilith and Clara. "Stop acting numb and start behaving like an adult."
’Stop acting numb?’ Strands of Clara’s hair puffed behind her neck as she looked at Lyra and hissed. "SINCE YOU HAVE THE MIND OF AN ADULT, WHY IS LEVI NOT HERE?"
Two of the floating leaves landed softly on Clara’s shoulder, burning and turning into ash in a millisecond.
Stone growling echoed from beneath them as Clara moved a step forward. "Tell me!"
Her voice dulled while tears erupted from her eyes, trailing down her cheeks. ’My Levi.’
A loud wordless cry shot out of her when she lowered her head and crossed her palms beneath her huge breasts. ’WHY NOW?’
Chills ran down Mabel’s spine, watching her leader shed tears for the first time in their presence.
Lyra’s chest heaved during a deep breath before she winked at Mabel to take Clara back.
She ordered the three guards to continue the patrol, then turned to Saintess Lilith. "The task will be tougher than we estimated."
Two wet blue leaves landed softly on Saintess Lilith’s shoulders while she glared at the sky and sighed. "Indeed."
Sparkling light glared back at her from the star-filled crystal sky before Saintess Lilith closed her eyes.
...
Rat murmurs lingered in the hallway to the dungeon cell of the Slime Goddess’s tower as countless rats with blue eyes crawled out of their holes.
Fiery light gleamed at the corners of the hallway when a sharp wave of olive oil-scented air flashed forward.
The gray fur on the monkey-faced guards rose up, their eyes darting sharply toward the entrance of the dungeon.
Metal screeches echoed as they tightened their grips on their spears, squinting at the locked cell.
Enchi, the senior commander beside Luis, slammed the base of her spear hard on the silver ground, then hissed. "What a night."
A wide grin spread across her face while she shifted her focus toward the locked gate with a giggle. "Look how fragile he’s becoming."
Cunning laughter burst out of her as she placed her left elbow on Luis’s shoulder, while keeping her gaze locked on the raised center of Levi’s black boxer. "He thought he would be treated like how Lucy did on his first day in the cell."
Just as Enchi moved forward and smacked her spear against the iron bars, the Sovereign Sigil on Levi’s chest pulsed once...
Luis’s face paled, turning a confused expression to Enchi. "Wasn’t he dead three days ago?"
She moved a step back as a sharp yawn echoed from the cell, Levi pushing his upper body upward with a stretch. ’Where is everyone?’
He stared at the monkey faces behind the iron bars for a second before checking his own body. ’Wait, where are my clothes?’
He cast his eyes sideways for a moment, then stopped. ’Oh...’
A faint smirk spread across his lips while he brushed his dirt-and-slime-covered palms on his face. ’I forgot I’m not in my bed in either the utility tower of the Academy or the Pendant Tower in the central city.’
Heel clicks echoed from behind Enchi and Luis, the monkey-faced guards, while Levi relaxed himself on his left elbow.
Strands of brown hair wobbled on Levi’s forehead as he inhaled deeply, then smiled. ’Let me put on my welcoming face for whoever is coming to set me free.’
