Chapter 94: I Don’t Want to Kill Lysara. I Want Her
A wave of crimson flames dashed from Lysara, slamming into Levi with a harsh sigh. "You mortal filthy Schamberg!"
A cloth-rustling sound echoed when the hems of Levi’s crimson cloak flapped against his skin twice. "Filthy Schamberg that you can’t even stay in your serene realm? That’s absurd."
Levi took in a deep breath, squinting at the celestial flames rising around Lysara’s featherless wings.
Stone rumbled beneath Lysara’s feet. She slammed her right heel onto the ground. SHRUNK!
Bright light flashed from her floating, silver-blue hair during her harsh steps forward. "You have defiled the sacred lineages of this world."
Bones clicked softly around her frame. She clenched her teeth and sharpened her gaze on Levi. ’A filth trying to find a place for his head.’
Her translucent skin glowed, forcing the thin breastplate covering the tips of her breasts to strain outward.
’Is she trying to blast...’ Levi relaxed his shoulders, his chest rising and falling calmly in front of the Lust Goddess. "Is defiling the sacred lineages of this world the only thing you heard?"
A grim grin tore across Levi’s lips, his eyes drifting downward. "Oh, sorry... there is more to it."
A hollow shadow stretched along the floor when Lyra Ashveil stepped up to Levi’s right side and raised her longsword. "You dare refer to our master as filth?"
Heated air swirled around Lysara. She clapped and laughed. "Oh, so do you think being the Senior Battle Mage for the academy gives you the power to come against a Goddess?"
The hair on Lyra’s arms stood on end. She clenched her jaw. "Goddesses are just toys we worship. The battlefield is where the true gods prevail."
A single crimson blazing horse charged forward after Lysara cast a silent glance toward the sky.
Metal clicked against metal when Lyra tightened her grip on the longsword’s hilt, swinging it in a wide arc.
The shimmering blade sliced through the air with a whoosh, cutting through the blazing steed. SWISH!
Smoke and tiny crimson embers blasted upward, fogging the prayer castle’s courtyard in seconds.
Sharp gasps escaped Lyra’s lungs. She stood there panting. "Is that all you can do?"
Levi took a step forward and stretched his arm across Lyra’s chest. "Yo, yo, yo..."
He frowned down at Lyra and shook his head. "This is not yours to fight."
His expression softened, his tongue running over his lips. "Leave her to me. She won’t go anywhere."
Bright light shot from Lysara’s palms, her fingers wrapping around the hilt of her two-handed sword.
Stormy gusts erupted from the sky, slamming into the stone. Lysara drove the tip of her blade deep into the ground. "Oooh, dear mortal filth..."
Her long locks whipped over her shoulders during her advance. "You are the first unique and promising male I have ever heard of or seen."
Lava burst through the shattered earth wherever her heels landed. "But..."
Her full chest heaved violently before she halted ten feet from Levi. "You are too arrogant for the world to have you in it."
Levi snapped his head back, running a hand through his hair. "Really? Are you sure of what you’re saying?"
The Sovereign Sigil on Levi’s chest pulsed brightly. Lysara extended her left arm, her eyes widening. ’Why does he have the cursed symbol on his chest?’
The celestial aura around Lysara faltered. A chill ran down her divine spine. ’That’s not possible.’
Her wings beat against her shoulders. She closed her eyes, then snapped them open. "Levi Sirius."
Countless crimson steeds descended from the sky at breakneck speed, forming a line behind Lysara. "For turning the Empress and the Saintesses into your common concubines and seeding them with your seed..."
Maya’s crimson hair flickered over her shoulders during her approach. ’She can’t tell me she’ll be using the heavenly chain on him.’
Her hips swayed, settling into position right beside Lyra. ’Lysara can’t be serious about what she’s saying.’
Sharp howls cut through the air. Hundreds of blazing horses circled Lysara in a death ring. "You have trespassed all the limits that required a second thought or even mercy."
Levi stepped forward, a cold smile settling on his face. "I’m not the one to be shown mercy, Lysara. Or let me be polite. Lady of Endless Lust and Endless Desire."
Thick veins bulged along Levi’s arms. Blue, gold, gray, and silver glows spread across his skin. "You are the one who should ask for mercy from me!"
Purple and golden radiance blasted from behind Mother Beatrice. Empress Diana and Saintess Lilith charged from the castle’s flank.
Faint clicks echoed around Saintess Lilith, the hem of her white prayer dress scraping against the ruined floor.
Her heavy ass wobbled with every forceful stride she took.
Purple energy rippled through the dirt beside her. Empress Diana squared her shoulders. "LADY OF ENDLESS LUST AND ENDLESS DESIRE!"
Empress Diana’s eyes blazed. She launched herself into the air like a bird. "YOU CAME AT THE WRONG TIME AND WRONG HOUR!"
Empress Diana cut through the sky like a streak of purple light with a fiery fist, but Levi leaped up and caught her in an instant.
He placed his palms gently on Empress Diana’s forehead, bringing them both smoothly to the ground.
Empress Diana’s rear bounced against Levi’s chest, silver hair spilling over his shoulders. "My king, why stop me from ending her?"
Levi looked into Empress Diana’s saddened gaze and shook his head. "You don’t understand, Diana."
Brown strands brushed across Empress Diana’s cheek. Levi locked his gaze on the translucent Goddess standing among the flaming steeds. "I don’t want to end her. I want her."
A series of flaming steeds dashed toward Levi and his concubines.
He loosened his grip on Empress Diana, stepping out in front of them with arms spread wide. The moment the first set of blazing horses reached him, Levi vanished into thin air with a quiet puff.
A thick, translucent panel appeared where he had been standing, caging the steeds inside. Just as the last steed entered the invisible walls, Levi materialized three feet away from Lysara, smiling.
