A wave of pure white-hot celestial fire blasted onto the prayer castle’s courtyard as Goddess Lysara took two steps forward.

Silver hair brushed across Empress Diana’s shoulders while she forced her back to straighten.

Shattering the intense gravitational force engulfing her, she fell to her knees with a loud shriek. "Divine Goddess."

Her royal purple gown rustled, the hems scraping across the stone floor. "You wouldn’t want to see him directly."

A faint chuckle escaped Lysara as she snapped her head back. "Look who is talking."

Slamming her two-handed sword of blazing white-hot celestial fire against the ground, she sent a billow of dust upward. "A weakling like you shouldn’t even have the nerve to look me in the face."

Lysara flicked her left palm through the air with a sharp popping sound.

A crimson wave of undiluted electrical energy snaked from her side, smashing straight into Empress Diana’s chest.

Saliva sprayed from Empress Diana’s mouth, her body flying backward into the castle pillars. CRASH!

Debris puffed out of the crevice she carved ten feet up in the wall, sending fast-moving cracks along the stone.

Gray hair whipped in the wind when Shallot turned a sharp gaze to the wall, screaming, "EMPRESS!"

Her eyes dulled with tears, watching the Empress’s body slide down to the floor in a lifeless state. BAM!

Shallot’s knuckles popped while she clenched her hands. "You dare hurt my Empress!"

An emerald glow seeped from her skin, forcing her body upward and shattering the gravitational force.

Lysara burst into mocking laughter at the flickering emerald light. "A dwarf-given throne, you say?"

’Guess I didn’t come here for nothing.’ Her chest rose and fell with a deep breath. "Are you talking to me?"

The divine blade materialized and vanished with a soft sigh. WHOOOSH!

A heavy popping sound echoed from Shallot’s joints, her leg bones threatening to give out under the pressure. "I will make sure you are in the same condition as you’ve left my Empress!"

With her huge breasts bouncing, she charged forward. Her dual swords dragged along the stone with a metal-screeching scrape, throwing a trail of bright sparks behind her.

Silver-blue locks floated around Lysara, who simply watched and winked at the charging girl. ’Bluh, bluh, bluh.’

Sparkling light swirled behind her, materializing a celestial throne that hovered in mid-air. ’Humans are all the same as ants.’

Her featherless wings thudded against each other while she leaned back onto the seat. ’You kill one and you get countless others charging at you.’

As Shallot closed the distance to ten feet, Lysara casually drummed her fingers on the armrests. ’They will forever be under us, no matter how well-trained they get.’

Just as Shallot shifted her swords, Lyra Ashveil stood up.

Her body straightened, seemingly immune to the heavy pressure. But when she positioned herself to assist, Mother Beatrice shook her head. "Lyra, don’t."

A metallic click came from Lyra’s gear, her body freezing in shock. "We have to fight the Goddess without letting her enter the castle and interrupt our master."

Black hair swayed on Mother Beatrice’s shoulders while she rose, ignoring the heavy gravity. "Soloing against her is a death warrant."

Loosening her grip on her golden staff, she closed her eyes. "And we can’t afford to lose any of us."

Lyra swallowed hard, looking between Mother Beatrice, the fallen Empress, and the advancing Shallot. "But she’s..."

"Yes, I know. She’s one of master’s, not one of us." The golden lines on Mother Beatrice’s white prayer gown clicked together when she cracked her eyes open. "She isn’t who you think she is."

"Wait, what?" Lyra snapped her head back and increased her grip on the hilt of her longsword.

Senna Drae stood up with a lazy yawn. "You two are not serious."

Her thick thighs gleamed with black poisonous light. "Instead of being one and fighting, you’re here lecturing?"

"It’s not that I’m lecturing Lyra." Mother Beatrice glared at Senna and hissed. "Shallot wasn’t supposed to even be in Aethermoor in the first place."

Senna let out a dry laugh. "You’re just delusional like your position."

She raised her dagger and ran her wet tongue along the metal. "No wonder you’ve been the High Inquisitor for years."

The sharp edge left tiny cuts on her tongue as she pulled the blade back. "I’m not here for you to lecture me."

She blinked at the black blood pooling at the tip of the dagger, then smiled. "I’m just a half-blood whose purpose is to serve my master, and serve him well."

Faint footsteps echoing from the castle hallway caught the attention of Mother Beatrice, Maya, Lyra, and Mia. Senna, however, remained entirely focused on the Goddess ahead.

With a swing of her dagger, she dissolved into the swirling dust and dashed forward like smoke.

Shallot pressed on, her unarmored body bouncing heavily as sweat beaded her face while she leapt high into the air, crossing her legs like a ninja with a wild grin. "I am a demon battle mage..."

Her gray hair hardened against her shoulders while burning black emerald embers flashed from her swords. "I’ve killed more Gods than my ancestors ever had the chance to."

...

Debris slid off the walls of the castle’s hallway and landed on the floor like bullets.

The rustle of cloth echoed through the hallway along with the distant clash of steel as the heels of sweet, thirsty legs moved forward.

Golden hair danced on Saintess Lilith’s shoulders while the hems of her white prayer dress thudded against her thick, shimmering thighs. "Do you think they will be able to make her wait?"

Warm air flashed out of Levi’s lungs when he turned a smoldering gaze to Lilith. "I don’t just pick any woman. I pick the strong ones."

Chills ran down Saintess Lilith’s bones as Levi placed his palm on her shoulder and rubbed it once. But her soul screamed in joy when Levi slid his hand down and cupped her breast through her sleeve, squeezing it softly.

Brown locks flapped across Levi’s forehead as he shifted his gaze to the beams of light sparkling at the castle’s entrance and smiled. "Let’s hurry and join in the show."
