Hot air flashed into the chamber as the purple glow on Empress Diana intensified.

Strands of Isabella’s black hair floated upward and danced at her sides while she stumbled two sharp steps backward. ’Why is she taking her anger out on me instead of giving me the order to eliminate them?’

Chilled beads of sweat appeared on her forehead when she stopped and lowered her gaze.

Her chest heaved as her pulse pounded harshly against her ribcage. "Mom."

A soft draft escaped her mouth as she spoke in a warm voice, then slowly lifted her head. "Time is goin..."

"SHUT UP, ISA!" A concussive wave of sharp purple light exploded from Empress Diana as she screamed. "Go look for your sister and father, and stop talking nonsense!"

A huge glob of saliva snaked down Isabella’s throat while she gasped. The hair on her skin stood on end as she opened her mouth, unable to form a single word.

Empress Diana’s face burned as she exhaled sharply. "What are you standing there for?"

Faint dust skittered around Isabella’s boots as she rushed out, muttering wordless curses under her breath.

Air blasted across the faces of the twenty-nine high-tier noblewomen as she marched past without looking at them, leaving the squad behind at the gate in her blind anger.

Locks of the triplets’ hair whipped across their shoulders as they turned to each other in confusion. "What happened in there when she went to talk to her mother about the execution plan?"

The eldest raised her shoulders and sighed. "Only Isabella can tell us."

She shifted her gaze toward the golden castle, focusing on the fine grit kicking up while Isabella’s boots stamped heavily on the ground.

The golden barrier sprawled open without Isabella even touching it. Crimson-eyed rats scattered across the streets as Isabella stepped out of the golden dome covering the fortress alone.

A faint whistling sound erupted from an alleyway shaded from the crystal sun as Isabella walked past.

Sparks ignited beneath her boots as she halted, her gaze widening. The dark hood and shadowy passage played tricks on her eyes, making her mistake the tall silhouette for her sworn enemy. ’That’s him!’

Releasing a sharp gasp, she turned toward the dark passage.

Metal clicks lingered in the walls as Isabella moved closer. ’You think you can pull your tricks on me?’

Black-emerald glows seeped out of Isabella’s fingernails as she slowed her pace.

Fabric rustled in the alleyway, harmonizing with the whistle as the black-robed figure stood there, nodding as if she had been patiently waiting for her to leave the castle.

Torn papers sprawled upward when Isabella rushed forward, her right fingernails gleaming in the dim passage. "You will die today, trash!"

Debris rained down from the wall as the black-robed lady pushed herself off the stone with ease. "Yo!"

A loud bang erupted as Isabella’s fingernails smacked against the wall, sending sparks flying like birds.

Isabella’s heart pounded hard when she turned and saw a green glow shimmering from the figure. ’Wait, his eyes aren’t like that... and why the fuck did I think it was him? She even has the blessed parts a man lacks.’

Swirling currents revolved around her as the black glows seeping out of her skin began vanishing piece by piece.

The tips of her dark tresses brushed against the wall behind her as she snapped her head back. "Who are you?"

Her eyes widened as she stared in disbelief at the three huge breasts bouncing slowly on the black-robed lady’s chest.

Brown leaves waved between them as footsteps echoed from the road to the far left. "Speak before you regret wasting the opportunity!"

The hems of the black robe skittered over the lady’s legs as she brushed her left palm along the fabric, revealing her thick, fleshy, sparkling thighs. "Do you even need my name?"

She tore the chest sleeve of the robe, exposing her unique, blessed chest that swayed gently against her frame. "Isa, you’ve got a lot to learn."

Isabella’s sparkling fingernails dulled as hot beads of sweat broke out on her skin. ’Oh no! Did I just...’

Her hands trembled at her sides as the memory of Central City’s first witch, the legendary figure who could tame heavenly beings, reeled in her mind.

Chills ran down her spine as the black-robed lady pulled her hood off and smiled. "Forgotten your own auntie, my little dragon?"

Heat radiated through Isabella while her legs gave out in fear. Loose dirt, torn papers, and brown leaves kicked upward as she dropped straight down, crashing her knees hard against the ground. SLAM!

Quiet sighs lingering around the black-robed lady echoed as she took slow steps forward.

Her rapid pulse finally slowed when the lady placed a heavy hand on her left shoulder. "Auntie Sylvia..."

Her lips trembled as Sylvia, the high witch from the elf city who once tamed the Goddess of Chastity’s daughter and gifted her to a subordinate, slid her palm off her shoulder.

"Oh, child, get up." She helped Isabella back to her feet and brushed the dirt off her knees. "You’re not the one who should be kneeling before me..."

A confused sigh escaped Isabella as she looked at her auntie with raised eyebrows. ’Then who is?’

Sylvia wrapped her arms around Isabella’s shoulders, guiding her deep into the alleyway. "I know everything that has happened here. But you’ve got to give me their names, one after another."

Rats rushed out of their burrows, watching the two figures until their silhouettes dissolved into the darkness of the passage.

Just as the last strands of black and brown-emerald hair vanished, a wild howl tore through Central City, shaking the foundation of every tower.

"Beatrice, watch yourself!" Maya Sirius screamed as she dashed out of the way, saving both herself and Shallot from getting crushed by the falling roof of the Pendant Tower.

Dust and smoke fogged the area with the tower’s roof torn open as the tremor ceased.

Mother Mia coughed heavily, clearing her airway. "What was that?"

Her crimson-purple tresses spilled over her shoulders as she waved the smoke away and moved toward the chamber’s door.

Her full chest and heavy hips rolled with every step as she descended the tower and stopped at Senna’s side. "Did Lilith and Lyra manage to leave before the tremor?"

Senna breathed sharply, then nodded once. "They did."
