Lysara shook her head, moving a step back through the swirling dust. "Alright."

Stopping two feet away from the throne, her celestial crimson eyes flared. "I guess I’m done here."

She closed her eyes and released a sharp exhale, goosebumps pricking her skin.

Faint cracks spread across the floor beneath her feet, stretching toward Levi.

Fabric rustled softly while the hems of Levi’s black boxer shorts tapped against his thighs. ’Is she angry? Aww...’

Just as he shifted his gaze from Lysara to focus on the bouncing weight of the Slime Goddess’s chest, a blazing light shimmered above Lysara’s head.

Metal clicked in sequence. Isha, the Slime Goddess, turned to watch Lysara activate her teleportation array. "Seriously, Lysara?"

A beam tore from the shimmering light above, blasting down onto Lysara until her sleek skin gleamed.

Lysara turned around, her thin iron breastplate groaning under the movement. "My presence isn’t needed since the trade has been completed."

Isha moved forward harshly, her sharp footsteps clicking against the stone. "What are you saying, Lysara..."

The hems of her shimmering robe swept the ground, puffing dust upward. "It’s been a century since you visited, and you’re leaving like that, darling?"

Lysara shook her head faintly with a smile, causing Isha’s eyes to dull. "So be it."

Silver-blue hair floated in loose strands behind Lysara as her body began vanishing piece by piece.

Her heavy chest bounced together, remaining as the final part of her figure to disappear.

When the beam vanished along with Lysara’s lingering form, a wave of oval crimson leaves rained through the castle.

The crimson petals showered down on the Slime Goddess, making her chest gleam under the light. ’Why should you do that...’

She released a single sigh, then paused to blink.

Clenching her hands into fists, faint bone pops echoed around her as she turned her gaze toward Lucy. "Take him back."

Her huge, watery ass wobbled while she turned and ascended the stone steps to her seat. "I will call you to bring him back when I need to conduct the main spell on him."

Chills ran down Levi’s spine. He shifted glances between the Slime Goddess and the half-demon, half-human. ’Spell?’

His eyebrows furrowed as two oval crimson leaves drifted down onto his shoulder. ’They’ve got to be kidding.’

Taking two sharp steps forward, stone floorboards groaned beneath him as he stretched his right arm out. "Honorable Slime Goddess."

Isha turned from the top of the stairs to face him directly, a striking blue light shooting from her eyes.

He halted ten feet away from the Goddess, the Sovereign sigil on his chest pulsing. "What the fuck just happened? What spell are you talking about? And who will take me back?"

A cold chuckle followed a low hiss escaping Isha. "You’re no longer counted as a human. You’re now a prisoner here."

Raw tension rippled around Levi as he snapped his head downward. "You’ve got to be kidding. Me, a prisoner?"

A cunning laugh tore from his lips, his chest heaving. But that laughter was instantly shredded when the magical hems of Isha’s robe extended across the ten-foot gap, dashing straight toward him.

The blue, shimmering cloth whipped him like a heavy cane, rattling pain through Levi’s skin from head to toe.

Scrambling across the floor through swirling dust to dodge, Levi’s footing gave out, sending his head slamming hard into the ground. BAM!

Hot gasps burst from his lungs. His vision began to fade, leaving him lying still on the blasted floor.

...

Lucy stopped at Levi’s side, trailing a sweet aroma of olive oil as she stood beside his limp body.

Crouching down with her gray-white hair draping over her shoulders, she shoved her arms under Levi.

With her heavy chest pressing against her elbows, she exhaled sharply and hoisted him off the floor.

A blue radiance flared out from the throne just as Lucy positioned Levi over her right shoulder.

Turning toward the stairs, star-shaped, shimmering blue leaves rained through the hall.

Seated on her jagged iron seat, Isha drummed her fingers harshly as metal clicked against the throne’s shoulder bars. "Hold on, Lucy."

Lucy froze near the base of the stairs, shifting her head up.

Long, sparkling blue hair floated behind Isha in loose strands while a shimmering mark seeped out of her chest like a floating tag.

Inspecting her palm, Isha raised her right arm into the blue aura hovering in the air. "To ensure complete obedience..."

She shifted a wild gaze from the hovering mark and smiled faintly at Lucy. "I’m branding him with my seal first to suppress the hidden abilities that made him difficult to control earlier."

The star-shaped light shot forward at high speed from Isha, making Lucy’s pupils slit into snake-like eyes.

Hot beads of sweat broke out on Lucy’s forehead. Backing up beneath the burden of Levi’s weight, she watched the light in terror. ’That’s the same light that killed the first man who tried to fight against the trials eons ago.’

The blue seal slammed directly into Levi’s left shoulder.

The star-shaped crest seared into him, bulging thick veins across his skin.

When the blue, sparkling dust cleared, a pale glowing star tattoo pulsed once on his shoulder before fading into his skin.

Staring at the mark in disbelief, a huge glob of saliva snaked down Lucy’s throat. ’It’s already bound to his body?’

Her body trembled harshly, making Levi’s dead weight nearly slip down her shoulder.

Isha slammed her boots hard against the stone of her dais, sending a heavy impact booming through the chamber. SLAM!

The moment she raised her arm, countless colorful slimes of different sizes surged from the floor. "Are you okay, Lucy?"

Lucy nodded sharply, her gray-white hair whipping around. "Yes."

She watched the slimes hopping onto Isha’s lap before dashing out of the castle, panting heavily. ’It’s over for him.’

Halting before the dungeon gate with a quiet sigh, a tiny black tear seeped out of her left eye and trailed down her cheek.

Two monkey-faced guards stepped forward as metal armor clattered and chittering voices echoed from down the hall, slamming their spears against the silver ground.

Bowing deeply, black strands of hair wobbled at their shoulders. Lucy followed behind as they retreated back inside the facility.

When the iron gate of the cell creaked open, Lucy paused for a single second, breathing heavily. ’I’m sorry.’

Her eyes blazed as she tossed Levi into the cell as if he were nothing but garbage...
