Chapter 117: Follow My Lead: We’re Going Back to the Slime Goddess’s Castle

Chilled air flowed between them as all of Lucy’s troubled thoughts began dissipating one after another.
Her lips shimmered like a diamond when Levi pulled himself back and gave her a soft French kiss.
Levi’s shoulders relaxed as he winked and looked straight into Lucy’s eyes. "Though I can’t increase your value with my blocked powers..."
He tilted his gaze slightly and glanced at the mouth of the skull house, where the door was. "I can make you feel proud and honored with my future plans."
Heat rammed through Lucy’s heart when Levi loosened his grip on her shoulder. ’What future plans is he talking about?’
Her bones softened in a second when Levi stepped away from her, moving toward where the black robes were. ’Is he thinking of taking over this place?’
Her ears twitched when Levi pulled out one of the robes and began wearing it. ’No man has ever gone past the six personal guards of the Slime Goddess, let alone defeat her and move past her to the top witches.’
A small frown rolled onto her chin when she placed the index finger of her left hand to her lips. ’He will die if he tries that.’
The heels of her boots clicked on the ground as she moved a step forward. "Um... master..."
The hood of the black robe draped at Levi’s back as he turned, looking at Lucy with a concerned gaze. "What is it? Should I remove it?"
Lucy’s face flushed with guilt as she waved her arm. "No, no. Don’t remove it. You look good in it."
She stroked her fingers through her hair while glancing at Levi’s new look. "I was just thinking about how you will go about getting out of this land."
"Oh..." Levi massaged his fingers, then stretched his back. "Then your guess was right. I will actually get out of here..."
He glanced at the inner walls of the skull house, then stared back at Lucy. "Just that I have to get some things in place first."
Lucy gulped hard, then blinked. "What things, master? Care to share them with me?"
The hems of the black robe swept across the floor, wiping the leftover moisture off it. "You will know. And to begin with my plans, we are going back to the Slime Goddess’s castle."
"What?"
The remaining robes hanging on the walls of the skull house and the crystal ornaments all slid down and crashed. PAH! CRACK! BLAST!
Dark bulge lines rolled on Lucy’s face and neck as she planted her arms on her waist. "We can’t go back at this time. Or ever again, else..."
"Else what?"
A cloth-rustling sound erupted from Levi as he shook his arms and shoved them in the pockets of the black robe. "Don’t be afraid. Just follow my lead once we get there."
