Chapter 141: Convent of Temptation XII: A Passionate Rebirth Kiss
A heavy stone door materialized before the Slime Goddess as she stretched her hand forward. "Soul seed, bring forth Lucy."
A single strand of gray hair waved from her palm and seeped into the door. "Strings of life..."
Gas puffed from the edges of the door when it started to crack open. "Release your branches and mend a new way for Lucy, the half-demon, half-human."
An eerie blue light erupted as the last piece of the door peeled off.
"Whoa!" Levi’s eyes widened when he saw a soaked spiritual coffin floating on the other side of the door. ’Is that how to bring the dead back to life?’
He blinked once and glanced at the Slime Goddess. ’So she could do this all along and made us travel here?’
Hot gasps exited his lungs, but he didn’t hit her. He just shook his head.
Countless glows swirled around the floating spiritual coffin as it moved forward.
Isha’s heavy bust bounced as she closed her eyes. "Open..."
Harnessed gas surged out of the coffin with a whoosh.
Isha collapsed to her knees and began panting heavily. "This is as far as my power can go."
A low thud echoed from around Levi’s side when Reverend Mother Superior moved forward. "Let me help..."
Her generous chest swayed as she stretched her hand upward, causing Levi’s face to flush with pleasure.
"By the power of holy light and might, I, Reverend Mother Superior, cast you out of death’s bondage."
A violent gust blasted through the chamber and caused all the blazing lanterns to extinguish.
Mucus exited from Isha’s mouth as she coughed harshly. "Sister... Lucy’s soul fragments are scattered across the astral boundary."
"Astral boundary?" Levi swallowed once and shifted his gaze back to the floating spiritual coffin. "And what does that mean, or how do we get them together?"
Reverend Mother Superior turned to Levi with a still expression. "To pull them back, we need to bypass the natural laws of death."
A concussive shockwave rippled out of the coffin and sent Reverend Mother Superior two steps backward.
Sweat dripped off her face harshly. "I’m trying, but it’s not responding to me either."
Levi’s chest glowed as the Sovereign Sigil sent a shockwave through his entire body, causing gray glows to snake through his veins. "Let me try."
The base of his black robe flapped against his legs as he leaped into the air. ’Let’s see what I can do to hasten it.’
He placed his palms flat against the cold, crystal surface of the coffin and breathed calmly. ’Lucy, come out.’
The translucent panel reeled before him as the gray glow on him moved out of his palms and seeded into the coffin like worms.
[Target: Lucy, Half-Demon, Half-human.]
[Condition: Fragmented Soul State.]
[Expending 15,000 Aether to initialize Rebirth.]
Levi gritted his teeth as golden light erupted from him and snaked through the coffin. It wrapped itself around the transparent lifeforce within the coffin and began mending with it as its veins.
Countless lights glowed on the coffin as the golden light began moving through the transparent lifeforce like molten threads.
A sharp gasp escaped the coffin as energy blasted outward like death veins, turning everything into a dead state.
"Watch out!" Reverend Mother Superior covered herself, but screamed at Levi when she saw him standing there uncovered.
"I’m okay..." Levi’s chest heaved as the veins stretched through him. "It won’t hurt me."
Faint trails of blood seeped out of his lips, but he wiped them off with a smile.
Inside the coffin, flesh began materializing around the transparent lifeforce. The black liquid inside the coffin evaporated into fire as the flesh began crawling up onto the transparent lifeforce.
’I’m okay...’ Levi’s eyes turned fuzzy as pain rushed through him like fire. ’It worked... it worked... it worked...’
He slid off the coffin and went straight to the ground, striking his buckling knees hard.
Reverend Mother Superior and the Slime Goddess both wanted to draw near him, but couldn’t move. Tears swelled up in their eyes as they watched Levi remain slightly stranded on the ground.
Just as Reverend Mother moved out of her cover, another strong wave of death’s veins sprawled out of the coffin.
"No!" She moved two steps forward and stretched her left arm to grab Levi, but one of the blackened death veins pierced through her shoulder. "Ouch!"
Her left arm went numb in seconds from the vein’s impact. ’Oh, this shouldn’t be happening to me right now.’
Three other death veins shot over her head the moment she fell to her knees.
The crystal lids of the coffin shattered and spread out in harmless sparkling light.
"She’s back..." Isha’s face flushed with joy as she stayed on her knees. ’She’s back...’
Her heart calmed in her chest while her voice echoed in a solemn tone.
Lucy’s eyes snapped open once, followed by a piercing gray glow, before settling down to her snake eyes.
Spatial dust swirled around her as she stepped out of the coffin, coughing. "What’s going..."
Her face hardened with shock when she saw Levi on his knees. "Master!"
Her full chest heaved as she adjusted her breath and lowered herself to Levi’s side. "Master... are you okay?"
"I’m fine..." The Sovereign Sigil glowed on Levi’s chest when he lifted his gaze and looked straight into Lucy’s eyes. "It’s good to see you back."
Lucy wrapped her arms around Levi and gave him a warm hug, letting her full bust press against his chest.
Soft embers puffed in the air as Isha, the Slime Goddess, pushed herself up. "Lucy..."
Her long blue hair flapped against her shoulder as she moved a step forward, but stopped when Lucy looked at her.
Heat rammed through Lucy’s body. "YOU!"
Her face reddened when she loosened her embrace and focused solely on Isha. "You wanted us dead!"
Just as she straightened herself and stood up, Levi also stood up and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Though she killed you..."
He rubbed Lucy’s shoulder while keeping a warm smile on his face. "...she’s also the reason you’re alive."
Lucy blinked at Isha, then glanced at Levi. "But she tried killing you too."
A small chuckle escaped Levi. "Yeah, I know... but not anymore."
He kept his left arm on Lucy’s shoulder and turned toward the Slime Goddess’s direction. "She’s now under my command."
"What about her?" Lucy pointed a finger at Reverend Mother Superior and frowned. "She..."
"No need, she’s also under me now." Levi brushed his fingers against Lucy’s cheek, then pulled her closer.
He looked at her in a romantic mood, then slowly licked his lips. "It’s good you’re back."
He pulled her head closer and gave her a warm kiss.
All the heat radiating in Lucy’s body neutralized as she gave her all into Levi’s kiss. Her body wobbled against Levi’s palms when Levi began caressing her calmly.
A sharp gasp escaped Lucy when Levi pulled his head back. "Let’s save the rest for another time."
Lucy nodded once and hugged him again. "Thank you, Master, for bringing me back to life."
Tears trailed down her cheeks as she squeezed her eyes shut.
Footsteps echoed in the chamber and caused the Slime Goddess and Reverend Mother Superior to turn their heads in shock.
Nima’s face glowed with awe when she saw the demon hybrid lady hugging Levi. ’When did she come here?’
She bowed to the Slime Goddess and Reverend Mother Superior before speaking. "The Serakel queen has sent orders, Madam."
"The Queen of the North?" The Slime Goddess stepped forward with an open mouth. "Did she..."
"There is only one reason for her to send orders to my convent." Reverend Mother Superior placed a hand on the Slime Goddess’s shoulder and smiled. "But she’ll be shocked to see us all at her palace."
Levi kept his arm wrapped around Lucy’s waist as he moved forward with her. "Ladies, let’s celebrate Lucy’s life."
"We can’t!" Reverend Mother Superior said in a slightly harsh tone and turned. "There is something we’ve got to do first, Master."
"And what’s that?" Strands of Levi’s brown hair flapped on his forehead when he tilted his gaze slightly to the left.
Lucy cleared her throat and sighed heavily. "The second higher-ranked witch of this land."
’Oh, that will make my leaving even faster.’ Levi laughed quietly and nodded. "Then what are we waiting for?"
He loosened his grip on Lucy’s waist and stretched his arms. "It’s time I make the other parts of my body work. They’ve been dormant for a while."

Ivy leaned against the corner of the hallway, thumbing her fingers against the wall. "Was that really the God of the Imperial Laws of Man that passed seven hours ago?"
White glowing leaves rained in the hallway as footsteps echoed from a distance. ’I have a feeling it wasn’t him.’
She pushed herself off the wall and stood on guard. ’Let’s see if it was actually him that walked past me.’
She blinked once when she saw the Slime Goddess walking on the side, and Reverend Mother Superior on the left. ’The God of the Imperial Laws of Man hates the Slime Goddess. So why are they walking side by side?’
She cleared her throat and intentionally blew a gust of wind out of her mouth, blowing the hood off Levi’s head. "YOU!"
The hair on her skin stood on end when she saw Lucy and the chimp lady following the three. "You tricked me!"
Her eyes blazed, but Reverend Mother Superior shut Ivy down in a second. "Do you have a problem with my master?"
