Chapter 2478 - 2493: Father and Son 3
"If you promise me not to say he’s my daddy anymore, I’ll agree to go see him!" Xia Tian frowned and glared at him.
Huangfu Ye, "..."
"Alright, ancestor, as long as you agree to go see your dad... my elder brother, I won’t say it like that for now, okay?" Huangfu Ye was genuinely worried about Beiming Han.
"Lead the way." Xia Tian huffed and said.
Seeing that this little ancestor finally relented, Huangfu Ye immediately picked him up and ran.
Xia Tian, "..."
...
Baobei placed the phone in the most conspicuous spot, with her chubby little hands supporting her chin, seriously waiting for Xia Tian to finish his work before video calling her.
When Rong Qianchen came in, he saw her continuously nodding off and rushed over quickly to catch the little one before she almost fell. He then carried her and laid her on the bed.
After settling her, Rong Qianchen finally breathed a sigh of relief. Baobei opened her eyes to look at him, softly saying, "Qianchen Daddy."
And then she fell asleep.
Rong Qianchen pulled over the blanket for her, stretched his hand and held Baobei’s little hand. In truth, he longed for her to call him just ’Daddy’ instead of ’Qianchen Daddy.’
...
Bai Jingqing anxiously waited outside the door, pacing back and forth worriedly. He knew today’s events were a huge blow to Brother, especially as he had just regained his memory.
Seeing Xia Tian coming, he immediately approached and said, "Xia Tian, your daddy..."
Xia Tian rolled his eyes at that and asked, "Do you have a key?"
"No."
"Then how can I get in?" Xia Tian glared, feeling annoyed about being called without a solution.
"..."
"Ah, forget it, since it’s the first floor, I’ll climb through the window." Xia Tian turned and left.
Xia Tian went outside the villa, found the window that corresponded to the room, and just as he was about to climb, he was lifted up.
Bai Jingqing was responsible for opening the window, while Huangfu Ye took care of putting Xia Tian inside.
Beiming Han sat there without moving; as long as he’d been in this room, this was the posture he’d maintained.
Xia Tian climbed down from the windowsill; with the curtains drawn, the room was dim, so he opened the curtains a bit.
Only then did Beiming Han lift his head. When he saw Xia Tian standing at the window, he abruptly stood up, but in the next second fell back down.
Seeing him like this, Xia Tian anxiously took a step forward but finally stopped himself, his expression very awkward.
"Why have you come? Go back." Beiming Han spoke, his voice hoarse.
"Hmph, do you think I wanted to come? It was your two brothers who begged me to come!" Xia Tian said gloomily, feeling... how did he look so awful?
Unconsciously, Xia Tian’s heart clenched.
"You should go back first." Beiming Han repeatedly said this; he didn’t want his son to see him so weak.
"I’ve already said I didn’t want to come! Since you’re so unwelcoming, I’m leaving!" Xia Tian was angry too; honestly, he came with good intentions to see him, yet he kept being pushed away.
This time, Xia Tian didn’t plan to leave through the window; he stepped towards the door with his little legs.
As he opened the door, Beiming Han, sitting on the floor, reached out and grabbed his tiny wrist. His big palm held onto that slender wrist, seemingly mismatched but extraordinarily harmonious.
"Weren’t you always pushing me away? Why grab me now?" Xia Tian turned his face in anger, refusing to look at him.
