Chapter 1916 - 1509: Feeding (First Update)
The next day, the wind and snow finally stopped.
Su Mo sat in the command chair, watching the mining State through the images projected by the optical system.

Looking carefully, there were indeed many protruding ores on the cavern walls and on the ground.

"Don’t touch Xiao Lan’s old nest. Go dig somewhere else. There’s plenty of ore resources."

Sun Duoxiang paused for a second, then reacted and replied.

"Boss, anything else?"
Sun Duoxiang looked at Su Mo in confusion.
"Take some people and fix up Xiao Lan’s cave a bit. Anyway, it’s following me now."
Su Mo instructed Sun Duoxiang.
"Huh?"
"Eh?"
"Alright, I’ll have people do it right away."
Sun Duoxiang hurriedly agreed.
"You just tell the people under you to handle that. I’ve got something else for you to do."
Su Mo continued.
"What is it?"
Sun Duoxiang quickly asked.
"Go prepare some food. I’m going to feed Xiao Lan."
After thinking for a moment, Su Mo gave a simple instruction.
"Okay, no problem. I’ll get it ready right away."
Sun Duoxiang then hung up the call.

Su Mo stood up from the command chair, stretched, and walked toward the hangar.
The creator·Swallower spoke to Su Mo in a low voice.
"It’s rare to see you this invested."
"What are you talking about? Xiao Lan’s with me now, I’ve got to feed it a bit, build some rapport, right?"
Su Mo replied with a smile. After all, he had raised a pet before; he more or less knew how this worked.
"Suit yourself."
The creator·Swallower couldn’t be bothered to say more.
Not long after, Su Mo piloted the Mad Eye Rhenhok out of the Immortal Blade and flew toward Xiao Lan.
Right now the completely charred Xiao Lan was lying quietly on the ground, resting.
Su Mo maneuvered the Mecha to land directly in front of it, then opened the cockpit and jumped down.
Xiao Lan, which had been lying down, immediately moved. Its huge head slowly lifted, then obediently came closer.
Su Mo reached out and petted it.
Just then, Sun Duoxiang and a group of subordinates piloted their Mecha over, transporting a massive amount of meat. They dumped it all in one go, piling it into a small mountain.

Su Mo spoke to Xiao Lan.
"This is for you. Eat up, you’ll recover faster if you eat."
Xiao Lan just turned its head to glance at the pile of food, then listlessly lay back down again.
Seeing this, Su Mo froze for a moment and muttered to himself in confusion.
"What’s going on? Not eating?"
"Isn’t it obvious?"
The creator·Swallower replied disdainfully.
"That can’t be right. What Monster doesn’t eat meat?"
Su Mo wasn’t convinced. He grabbed a large piece of meat and waved it in front of Xiao Lan, but it didn’t react at all.
Then Su Mo tried switching to other ingredients, but unfortunately Xiao Lan showed zero interest the whole time.
Su Mo was a bit dumbfounded. So this guy doesn’t eat meat? Then what does it eat?
Sun Duoxiang piloted his Mecha over and asked curiously,
"Boss, why isn’t it eating?"
"I don’t know either."
"I pulled all this out of the Freezer. It’s our precious rations, you know! When I requisitioned it, those logistics guys were heartbroken. After all, your pet is massive, its appetite must be terrifying, so I figured taking a little wouldn’t be enough."
Sun Duoxiang felt like he was seeing a ghost.
Su Mo pondered for a moment, then told Sun Duoxiang to set up a grill.

"Want to try?"

Sun Duoxiang said to Su Mo, "Boss, looks like it really doesn’t eat meat, huh?"
"Then what does it eat?"
"Boss, I got it, wait a sec."
Sun Duoxiang suddenly said, eyes lighting up.
Su Mo was also curious what Sun Duoxiang would bring. After a moment, he watched as Sun Duoxiang piloted his Mecha over carrying a huge pile of stuff.
Then he dumped it all on the ground in one go—there were iron blocks, oil drums, ores.....
"Boss, try these."
Su Mo looked at the pile, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly.
"You sure it eats this?"
"Just give it a shot."
Sun Duoxiang said with a face full of anticipation.
Helpless, Su Mo picked them up one by one, waved them in front of Xiao Lan and tested whether there was anything it liked.
But in the end there was still no reaction. Xiao Lan just kept its head on the ground, looking completely listless.

In that instant, Xiao Lan moved completely. The ground all around trembled. Its gigantic head slowly lifted, and a look of extreme excitement and eagerness appeared in its eyes.
Seeing this, Su Mo smiled knowingly and tossed the crystal to Xiao Lan.
Xiao Lan opened its huge mouth and caught it.
Then it cried out to Su Mo in an urgently affectionate, wheedling tone.
"So you like eating this, huh."
Su Mo broke into a bright grin, then took out another one and threw it to Xiao Lan.
Xiao Lan snapped it up and looked at Su Mo in delight.
Su Mo continued feeding it.
Two pieces, three pieces....
